Things were exceptionally busy at the apartment shared by Taisuke and his aunts. Actually, things had been quite busy for the nervous, slight blue-haired boy for quite some time and everything was just approaching crunch. Ever since the day it was discovered he was doing a lot of nothing but saving up most of the small allowance that he was given from Aunt Hinata.

He was told to do something fun with it. And so he did. For him that meant planning to host a dinner party for some friends. He realized that he wasn't especially close to anyone, so that was the first challenge to overcome. He asked Gwyn, and she was coming with this college student who seemed nice enough. He also asked the Akamachi siblings. He wanted everything to be perfect, so he went a bit overboard. It wasn't too much to invite people over with calligraphy on stationary in envelopes, right?

It was just going to be them too. Hinata and Reiko had encouraged him to have fun with his friends, and they were going to wait around long enough to greet everyone, but then they were off for their own night on the town to let them all enjoy themselves. Both women were dressed to the nines and relaxing in front of TV while Taisuke had his hands full in the kitchen. He wanted to do it all on his own.

Thus far, none of the visitors had shown up yet, but it was still early. And yet it wasn't enough time!

Well the invitations were a little much, and Suki was now certain that Taisuke was a serial killer, but Haru was still looking forward to the dinner. It was always nice to get out and hang out with a new friend -- according to them, at least. Suki, who was only coming to make sure Haru did not somehow perish, was grumbling the entire time, putting a thorough damper on the mood during the walk to Taisuke's apartment. The only other person there was Yuki, who, despite how much Haru enjoyed their company, was not much of a talker himself.

So, the majority of the chitchat on the way to Taisuke's apartment had been led by Haru. The location for the dinner was a bit of a ways away from where Haru and Suki lived, though thankfully, Yuki's place was just on the way. The conversation flowed about as smoothly as it could, with Haru bringing up club activities, Yuki's dojo, even ruins stuff once or twice, whispering for that last one. Thankfully, however, Taisuke's apartment showed up faster than expected.

Haru immediately stepped forward first, ringing the doorbell. "Oh, I think we're a little earlier," they said. "That's probably fine." They looked at the two behind them. "Right?"

'Suki, did you want to go to a party?'
'Not particularly, no.'
'Welll, I'm gonna go either way, so I guess--'
'When are we leaving?'

That's about how the conversation went. Suki was in no way happy about the situation, but she was glad Haru at least mentioned it. Calligraphy invitations? They barely even knew this Taisuke. This felt less like a get together and more like a cult ceremony. Who knows what these miscreants were planning to do to Haru. Well, not on her watch.

Yuki looked about as happy to go as Suki did, though that was probably just the way his face looked. In some ways, Suki was actually glad to have him along. Not only had he shown that he understands Haru's gender (or at the very least accepts it), he explained it to that asshole without being prompted. Suki didn't fully trust him, of course, but that at least got some respect out of her.

They eventually arrived at the probable serial killer's door. Apparently, they were early. 'No, we're way too early,' Suki responded to Haru. 'Goes against party etiquette. Complete breach of trust. We should probably just leave and never come back here again.'

Not all that far away, a rather giddy blonde worked to barely contain her excitement as she wiggled in the passenger seat of a certain fierce mount. The whole thing had been the wind beneath her wings after a rather rough official breakup with Rin. Oh, how could Taisuke have had the insight to time a dinner party so perfectly? To know just the right bait to entice her? There was no way Gwyn could turn down such a well-designed invitation, especially when he said Oneesama could come!

Oh, yeah, should probably explain that. Gwyn was all big words and proud looks on that day at school, but the instant she came home, she'd ended up locking herself in her room, a habit Riko, Bart, and now Hanako knew was fairly common for the sometimes comically over-sensitive girl. Part of this was her nerves being shot at a second rejection, but she'd be lying if she didn't admit part of her self-induced exile was to come up with yet another style for herself. She needed something a lot more reserved after the last one, yet still strong. Something cool, something... something... Hanako-y. And thus, much to the chagrin of her actual older sister, Gwyn had been promptly attaching herself to Hanako, studying the older girl whenever she could, and for this event, borrowing an outfit from her.

Outside of her ridiculous Ojousama dresses or "Sukebanchou" coats and skirts, the girl honestly felt naked, but she had to admit the appeal to the simplicity of a blue dress and a few accessories (emphasis on a few, since Gwyn had almost attempted to leave the mansion covered in them). Hanako had, as always, an excellent choice in fashion. Short sleeves, light fabric, it was a proper spring dress. Gwyn had abandoned her gloves today, instead counting on yesterday's impromptu spa day to deal with her callouses. Which, for the record, was a nightmare, for certain Null Phys reasons.

"T-Thanks for agreeing to go early, Oneesama," Gwyn said, rubbing a hand as she glanced at the older girl. "It's a bit unsightly for a party, but I figured if we came early, you could meet his aunts, and... w-well, it'd be nice to see him without my mom or Papa nosing into things," she said, only to pause for a moment.

"... M-Maybe I can even avoid sticking my foot in my mouth until the party starts." And with that, promptly began sulking and staring into her lap, going into her pre-social event doubts. No doubt exacerbated by earlier events. It was a bit of a trial by fire for Hanako here as Gwyn's latest bodyguard, a job that seemed to have less to do with protecting the young blonde and more to do with keeping her from wanting to run home and lock herself in her room by the minute.

It was true that Yuki did not look particularlly thrilled to be there. He did not look particularlly thrilled to be anywhere, so there was nothing out of the ordinary there. He actually knew the way to Taisuke's place, but he instead elected to hang back and let haru and their sister take the lead.

After a small delay in the ring, the door opened. Taisuke didn't make any request for things to be too formal, and his own dress reflected that. Comfortable and simple dress, albeit still clearly picked to look nice He wore a green apron over that and didn't take it off when he opened the door. The blue-haired young man seemed to be almost sparkling as he met his twins and Yuki.

"Oh! Haru-kun! Suki-san! Senpai! I'm glad that you could make it! And you're a bit early too! Please, come in!" He waved and stepped aside to allow them inside.

"You're trying way too hard, Taisuke-san. It's only us." In Yuki's eyes, he was going to pop a gasket some day if he kept it up at that rate.

"Right!" He answered back quickly and nervously. "Sorry, senpai." Yuki just rubbed his eyes as Taisuke appologized when he didn't need to.

Meanwhile, Hanako was still leading her large and not very practical car the way to the place. Hanako was technically 'on duty' as the replacement to that pack of goons that Gwyn's mother had left to watch her, and she was expected to dress in a suit to, so she was. It wasn't her usual sort of clothes, so she hoped she looked alright. At least Gwyn seemed to really like the dress she loaned her.

"Well, there's the Amachi siblings that are going to be there. Haru is…well, you don't address or refer to haru as neither 'he' nor 'she', they're agender. It's okay to use 'they' or 'them,' though. I'm not so sure about honorifics, though." Well, other than keeping Gwyn far from danger, she also had to support her in other ways. Due diligence and doing her homework was only natural. "Their sister is named Suki and she's hard to get along with. Please don't be offended by what she says and treat Haru well and I'm sure it'll be fine." She didn't have a confirmation of who they had brought as their guest, so she wasn't able to do anything about that.

Did Walker also have to do these kinds of things? There was no way she was able to do an antiquate job replacing him, but she was gonna do her best! "Oh, we're almost there."

Haru gave Suki an unhappy look. "Oh, come on, Suki, don't be like that. It'll be fun! And I'm sure it's not a big deal if we're early. Right?" They asked the last bit looking over at Yuki, though before the conversation could progress any further, a sparkling Taisuke opened the door.

They smiled and waved at Taisuke, noting the apron he was wearing. He had done the cooking! How nice! "Hello!" they said, smiling. Haru was dressed in their usual attire -- a sweater, jeans, a pair of slightly-raggy shoes. They giggled in agreement at Yuki's blunt statement. "Yeah, you don't need to be so formal. It's not like any royalty is coming, right?"

They stepped inside, looking around Taisuke's place. "Ooh," they said, a flicker of something unclear in their eyes.

The second Taisuke opened his mouth, Suki was annoyed. The other two assured him that he didn't need to be so formal while Suki crossed her arms. 'I, for one, could do with more formality,' Suki said, leveling an icy stare on their host. 'I didn't realize we were all on a first name basis, Taisuke-san.' When Suki said Taisuke's name, she spat it out covered in venom. Maybe that would dissuade him from using her first name so readily.

Suki, despite herself, dressed with at least some sense of occasion. She dressed in a simple yet cute light green sundress with a checker board pattern she fashioned from cutting up a sheet that had gotten a stain on it. Her hair was pulled up into a short ponytail and she had a flower clip holding hair out of her eyes. She wasn't trying to impress anyone, obviously, but she wanted to feel pretty, dammit, and a dinner party was as good an excuse as any.

When she walked in she looked around with a in expression almost identical to Haru's. After only a second, though, another look passed through her eyes and her face settled into a scowl.

"Hmmmmm...." Gwyn listened intently, as Hanako gave her an excellent first-time briefing. Sure, it wasn't as detailed as Walker's, something Gwyn tried not to focus on long as it's poor form to come to a party mopey, but then again, Hanako also probably didn't have strings to pull or days to follow the targets for information like Walker had.

... You know, in hindsight, maybe she had asked a bit too much from the man...

"... I'll go with 'Amachi-san' then to start, and test the waters from there! This Suki sounds protective... which is good, because I'm exceptional with protective, older siblings. Just look at Hiro and Tsuki! ... Actually, thinking about older siblings reminds me, I should eventually ask you about... Hmmm, n-no, maybe that's too soon..." It seemed, for now, Hanako had dodged a question that brought about a heavy air with it. "... Ah! You're right, I recognize this place now! And that's the apartment complex!" At the sight of their destination, Gwyn grew giddy again, fidgeting in her seat as she did her best to keep positive and not think of the numerous, hundred-odd ways she could surely cause this nice dinner outing to spiral wildly out of control until it crashes and explodes in a ball of fire or something.

... O-Oh, Gott, she really wasn't used to not having all the information possible about people in a social gathering! C-Could she really wing this?! Gulping, Gwyn pulled out a handkerchief, a good-luck charm her father had given her before the two set off, and dabbed her face with it.

"... I-I'm ready when you are, Oneesama."
