Name? Was he asking for his name? He squinted at him in hopes that his eye would behave properly and he could see better. He mouthed out the words, and finally got something out. "…Wada." He didn't recognize this person at all, so much was happening and he had no idea what he was supposed to be doing, and then there's someone he never met there. "I have a car-- It's not very good, Wada-san always got it to start for me when I needed it, so I came here and…" That was Matsuda, right? He recognized the voice, something about her car? …he was having a difficult time remembering what exactly he did to get it running. He'd have to apologize to her, but it seemed she came all that way for nothing. The man in his bathroobe clutching the golf club rubbed his face. "Alright, just…Matsuda-san, get your old man out in front of your house and wait for me. And uh…what's your name, kid? Anyways, can you help Wada-san here get in front of his house? I gotta go get my family back in the house and I'll pull up in our van." The hell he was going to have his kids see this kind of carnage if he was able to help it. He ran off, to make the appropriate arrangements. Hideyoshi tried to stand on his own power, but was clearly too injured and disoriented to manage. The neighbors had scrambled off to put out their own fires, and that left Shou and the older man together in the remains of the mayhem from before. |

"Okay Wada-san then." Shou nodded and thought for a moment. "What do you do for a living Wada-san?" Again, Shou just needed to keep him talking, keep him thinking, keep him from closing his eyes. No hard questions that would give him pause. Just simple, easy questions. Easy enough right? Shou looked up for a moment as the woman spoke. He couldn't hide his displeasure at her answer. Of course her car wouldn't work. Why would anything go ri- Just before he could get too far into his own lamenting, the older man spoke up once more. It seemed that he had a car big enough for everyone. Shou couldn't help but show his relief. This man had probably saved them twice now. "My names Shou Yoshida. I can handle Wada-san I think...Thank you for helping, I think you saved everyone today." If this man hadn't shown up, the hoods may have finished all of them off after all. Not to mention him actually owning a working car. As the man and woman ran off, Shou turned his attention back on Hideyoshi. "We gotta get moving now okay? If you can't walk I'll carry you alright?" Naturally Shou would try to support him first, but if that failed he'd try a fireman carry. Not the most graceful way of moving someone, but Shou was built for speed, not power. Either way, he braced himself for a long walk to the front of the house. |

He didn't really have a choice but to lean on Shou to get anywhere. With the lights off at his home, it was still pitch black in places. He just tried to move forward at something approaching a reasonable pace. His hearing was awful. Did that blast really mess with his eardrums in some way? He mumbled a response to Shou's question. "I teach. History at a high school." One foot in front of the other. He just had to use what strength he had left to make that happen. One step in front of the other. They eventually passed by the house, and at least the street lights were still on near the front yard. It hurt his eye. The good one. He had gotten too accustomed to darkness and had just got up prior to that. By the time Shou had escorted him there, there was a boring looking blue suburban minivan waiting for them. The kind that passed on the street all the time and never attracted notice. "Get 'em in however you can, I'm going straight for the hospital after we pick up the Matsuda's. You're coming, Kid?" |

"History huh? That's pretty cool Wada-san!" Just keep talking. "What school? I'm a third year at Taiyoutono myself." Shou was happy that he didn't at least have to carry him. His eyes were flitting all around, just in case there was a second attack. They could've just been regrouping for a second go after all. Man he really hoped not. Fortunately they managed to get to the car unharmed. Shou let out a sigh of relief before gently guiding Hideyoshi to the car and trying to seat him comfortably. Normally he'd have some kind of wisecrack prepped for the car, but honestly now wasn't the time. "Sounds good." Shou didn't even hesitate when asked if he was coming. The boy jogged to the other car door and got in as well. "I know some first aid. I'll try to keep them both, uh, stable until we get there." This was going to be a long car ride wasn't it? |

"Hmm…?" Perhaps the ordeal had dulled his wits a bit, but he didn't feel that his job was something to get so enthusiastic over. He liked it well enough, and it paid the bills but it also wasn't really something to write home about, either. "Reit-" After he was seating, they were moving again. It gave him a bit of a start, but he caught back on his train of thought soon enough. Reitaku." The car went around the block once, and there was a surreal kind of tension there. Others had tarted to come out of their homes to see what the commotion was about. They stopped in front of the house that was directly back to back to Hideyoshi's picked up two more passengers. The Miss Matsuda that Shou had encountered before, and a gasping, wizened old man who she was doting over. Presumably, that was her father. With all passengers in tow, the car wasted no more time heading for the hospital. |
