Chijirou let out an internal sigh of relief. Now all he had to do was get past this guy and buy the manga before anyone else grabbed it. "Oh, yeah. That happens I guess. Good thing you we're able to put it back. That'd be a lousy way to get a criminal recorded." he laughed.

He went pale for a second, imagining what his grandfather would say if he got himself a criminal record. "Yeah..."

It wasn't characteristic of Senjirō to just chat up strangers; admittely he was using him to distract himself from his anxiety. While his laugh was genuine, the boy was clearly uncomfortable and waiting to be left alone. Guessed it was time to make his exit. "Well, I'll just... yeah. Seeya around."

Senjirō turned around and walked to the exit, raising his hands as he passed in front of the register to show he wasn't stealing anything. He stood at the door for a moment, worryingly looking at the crowd outside.

He groaned under his breath. Back to the noise and the movement.

Chijirou stepped back into the isle and grabbed the manga. He took them back to the cash register and began his checkout. The cashier smirked as he paid, and he took it and began to exit the store. Then he saw the same boy standing in the doorway observing the crowd. He waited behind him, hoping he didn't turn around and see him.

Senjirō had been standing there for a little too long. It took him a second to notice someone was standing behind him.
"Shit, sorr-huh." The same boy, again; they looked at each other with akwardness. He could see something through the bag the boy was holding; something pink and slim. Oh.

"...You were waiting to grab that, huh." He let out a little laugh and stepped aside, but still looking at him. "You must really hate me now, I keep getting in your way."

He had to admit to himself that after the problem with the cashier, and a very serious-looking boy sneaking around to get it, there had to be something special about that manga. "So... is it really good?"

Chijirou turned bright red. "It's for my, uh, little sister." he lied. Oh yeah.
No one's ever used that before.
he sarcastic mocked himself in his head. I'm just gonna have to own this. And hey, who cares if this guy makes fun of me? He doesn't even go to my school. he thought, actually laughing at himself now for being so tense. "Yeah. It's pretty good." he admitted, feeling much better now.

Senjirō laughed at the automatically-blurted out lie, but made himself stop after seeing how embarrassed the young man before him was. He almost immediately admitted the manga was for himself, and the tension he had shown from the moment he'd tried to hide from Senjirō was noticeable gone.

"You heard me mumble back there?" He sighed, his embarrassed smile returning. "Sorry... I really don't care what people read. I was just curious."

This stranger had laughed at first, but also seemed to be taking it pretty well. Perhaps he'd misjudged him. He seemed like a nice, albeit a bit akward a times. But then again Chijirou was probably acting equally if not more akward. "So... Yeah." he said, unsure of what to say.

He really didn't want to prolong this guy's torture, so having readied himself to return to the sea of people, he walked towards him, seeing an opportunity. He wasn't thrilled about this work of his, but he needed the money. That and he couldn't bring himself to say "no" to his landlord. Figured he could help this guy too.

"Hey, I can come buy these for you if you don't want people to... uh, yeah." He offered him a smile. "I'm gonna be doing a lot of shopping for other people here, so I won't charge you much. If you want."

It seemed Chijirou had indeed misjudged him. Not only was he not making a big deal out of his unmanly hobby but he was now offering cheap favors as well, and that would save a lot of trouble. And he didn't even know Chijirou's name. "That'd work out great, as long as it's not too much trouble for you. I'm Tsukuda Chijirou, by the way. Nice to meet you." Chijirou introduced himself.

He glanced at the crowd before returning to the boy, and shrugged. "Coming here's the problem, and I gotta do it anyway." Senjirō took a few steps to stand closer to his new client. He was glad to see this boy, Chijirō, wasn't tense anymore.

"That name's... unusual" he noted, intrigued. "Nice meeting you, I'm Chigusa Senjirō." He unconsciously put emphasis in the differing kanji between their names, with a little amused smile. He then turned to his bag, fishing out his phone. "Give me your number."
