Kaya nodded towards Jin and answered with,
"Thank you, but I think I can handle this."

Indeed, the girl already had an idea as to what to do. She'd better hurry as it seems that the American was already beginning to walk away.

Well, this makes things easier.

Following behind the girl at a brisk pace to quicken the distance, Kaya lunged with her arm to grab Kat by the back of the head once she was within range, only for her arm to be clutched by the other girl's metal gauntlet.

Without looking, the American answered back in English,
"You wanna explain something?"

Ignoring the stinging pain as Kat's Talons dug into her wrist, Kaya responded back with,
"You hit Andre. You pay."

The two remained in that position, each refusing to budge to the other. Both were surprised at the strength of the other as they remained in the struggle, even as blood started to leak from Kaya's arm.

Yup, Jin was scared and somewhat afraid, not that this could be seen on his face. I go get groceries, and I stumble onto a fight. The piglet's owner said she had it, but I'm starting to worry if there's something I should do. His mind flashed towards the stick like object in the distance, but the thought was quickly shrugged off. I don't want to get in trouble because I misunderstood something, or if she happens to be someone in a high place. Even it was a just cause, the police don't take too kindly to the use of weapons in self defense due to the position of potential danger everyone gets put into.

Maybe he could try to prevent the fight from escalating. Yeah! That would work...I hope.

He rose in posture as he rid himself of the hunch that he usually walked with when not pursuing some physical activity, making him even taller than he usually was in a country full of relatively short people. This gave him an extra two inches or so as he straightened his back. The boy was not huge, but he wasn't bare bones either. His body was slim yet muscular, so it further added to the illusion of how tall the magician really was; it was a social magic of sorts in its own sense. This, paired with his flat, emotionless face, might enable him to intimidate someone into submission, not that Jin was any good at being super intimidating. All he was trying to do at this moment was imitate what some animals did in the wild to make themselves seem more fierce: puffing himself up.

Jin approached the American, attempting to lightly, yet firmly grasp the gauntlet-less hand. While light, to Jin at least, it felt firm as well. He didn't want something worse to occur than what already had happened. Then, he spoke using some of the broken English that he was able to recall, primarily to avoid confrontations.

"Stop. Need apologies! Not need hit pig! Calm! You not right start," and then he swapped back to his native tongue as he spoke to Kaya, whose name he still did not know,"I get that you're mad. I just got a cat, so I can...kinda relate, but I feel this could have the potential to be handled more smoothly." To an extent, he felt somewhat prepared for what Kat might try to pull next, as he saw how quickly she reacted when Kaya had approached her.

Kat nonchalantly shook off Jin's grasp on her hand, during which Kaya proceeded to kick in the American's knees, causing her to lose her balance and grip. Taking the initiative, Kaya quickly clutched the girl by the neck and proceeded to slam her down to the ground. She turned her head over to Jin to give him a nod of thanks for the distraction.
"You did good. Now let me handle the rest."

Turning her attention back to the American struggling to breathe, Kaya asked in English.
"Had enough?"

Kat responded in sounds of choking that could have translated to either a surrender or a taunt involving the mother, as Americans are wont to do. Realizing that this fight was quickly getting out of hand, she slapped at the arm currently strangling her with immense pressure as a sign for her to relent.
"... Fine."

Releasing her grasp, Kaya allowed the girl the permission to breathe. Perhaps in another time, she would have ignored the signal for submission.

Perhaps that day might come again.

Gingerly massaging her neck, Kat let out a chuckle as she told Kaya,
"You've got a helluva grip on ya. Not a lot have that."

"Fuck off."

After his accidental distraction, the "fight" had finished in mere seconds as Kaya made sure that the American got a fine taste of Grade A Japanese dirt and gravel. I really hope that if anyone saw this, they saw all of it, and not simply the latter half, the boy thought has he backed a few feet away from the beat down. I've sort of managed to help someone out, but it feels really strange. I'd likely attribute this to never being in a real, or close to real fight before.

Another foreign exchange occurred, one that Jin didn't really catch but he could definitely feel the tones that were being given off. The native girl before him still likely fuming, while the American seemed to find something funny. He wasn't really sure what to do next. Yeah, he had to go home with groceries, but how did one walk away from something like this? Was it easy and simple, without even an exchange of words? Without any idea on what to do next, Jin stood there as he though about how to go about this.

The two girls took a moment to collect themselves from the momentary chaos. Kaya quietly looked down at her wrists to see it still leaking blood at an immense rate. Quietly nursing the wound, she had to admit that the girl knew how to use that claw.

She'd be impressed were she not also in need of something to wrap the wound. She kept it hidden under the sleeves of her shirt for now.

She took one look back at where Kat was only to see that the girl was beginning to walk away while gingerly massaging her neck.

She'll let her go. For now.

For now, she made her way back to Andre and picked him up with her good arm, taking care not to wake him. As she began to also make her way home, she nodded over to Jin and told him,
"Sorry for getting you wrapped up in all of this. Have a good day."

Jin was still frozen as the two women walked, each taking a separate direction. He was bid a good day before he was alone with groceries. A continued pause was taken as he processed what had happened. A fight that stopped about as fast as it had started, hrm...

The magician broke the spell to walk over and pick up the groceries that he had set down prior as he set off once more towards his house. This part of the trip was uneventful, especially when it was compared to what happened immediately prior. It was quiet, and surprisingly no cops, or anything really, were called. He passed by his familiar surroundings; he was almost home. The boy was excited to go back home, not that he didn't like it there on a normal occasion. It was just that he recently adopted a soft and fluffy princess who happened to be the owner of a myriad of colors. What made it better was that the cat took to him just as well, though the first day or so was rough.

As he approached the door, Jin slowly cracked it open, not wanting to disturb anyone who might be working or sleeping. It was a little later in the day by this point, dinner time only being an hour or so away. Dad won't be home until later, so it'll just be mom or sis for now. Mom might be sewing or something. He slipped his shoes off as he walked further into the house, and into the kitchen.

Space was already set aside for groceries. The notion was small, but Jin was happy that one of the two family members present thought of at least saving him a little bit of work. He set the bags down as he darted into the living room in search of his cat.

It was a strange day, but one that he enjoyed all the same.
