Chiharu was hopelessly lost.

Really, she didn't know how this could have happened. Sure, she hadn't been to the shopping center in more than a year, and sure, the only times she did go she just kept her head down and let her father lead the way...well, alright, maybe she should have seen this coming. But it shouldn't have been this bad! All she wanted to do was find an old, obscure video game from the late 90s, and she vaguely remembered there being a retro game store at the Tanjiro Shopping Center. But now 45 minutes had passed, and all she had done was wander around the crowds, feeling incredibly awkward and out of place, while somehow managing to take an elevator at least twice now. Chiharu was scared, disoriented, and more than a little confused at this point.

Now she was leaning against a wall, next to a store she didn't recognize, trying to weigh her options. She was fairly certain she was on the first floor (considering how lost she already was, she wasn't ruling anything out), so an exit was probably near, right? But that would mean walking out empty handed, and Chiharu wasn't sure her pride could take that. Chiharu held her head in her hands, and groaned. What was she going to do?

Masumi was making her way through the shopping center with a bag under each arm and a tune in her head she couldn't help but hum. She felt rather satisfied with herself on this particular skirmish. One bag was filled with a new outfit and make up for herself that she picked out. The second was filled with paints and some new model kits. Both the boxes for a Gundam kit and a Polikarpov Po-2 biplane model visibly poked out of the bag a bit. She already eagerly awaited getting home. The next day, she could try out her new look. But before that she'd just relax at her desk and try out those new Tamiya paints. She could get the plane to look far more accurate, and thus a better display peice. And naturally she could personalize the Gundam model in her own personal color scheme just like the anime's ace pilo-

Suddenly, Masumi saw somebody she recognized. It was Chiharu, the only other girl in class as tall as her. Chiharu didn't really seem that talkative and thus Masumi didn't know her well. However, that really wasn't reason to keep walking. Chiharu definitely looked upset. Something wasn't right. Masumi's eyes widened with surprised and her humming stopped. New objective. Masumi walked forward to Chiharu, putting her shopping bags down next to the wall.

“Chiharu? It's Masumi... from class.” Masumi calmly greeted her classmate with a small as she put a hand on Chiharu's shoulder. “You alright? Something wrong? Anything I can help you with?”

Someone was touching Chiharu oh god what was happening was she getting kidnapped what was going on. Chiharu yelped in surprise, as she turned to face whoever it was that was about to kill her. Oh, wait. That wasn't a serial killer, it was that girl from class. Masumi. She was the only person Chiharu actually recognized from class, which might had to do with the fact she was the only girl actually taller than her. She was probably nice, right? Definitely not a serial killer.

Chiharu loosened up, slightly, and looked at her classmate sheepishly. "Erm, s-sorry. H-Hello, Kinoshita-san. It's...um...it's nothing, really. J-Just a little lost. Nothing y-you need to concern yourself with." Really, Chiharu was more than a little bit lost, but the idea of asking someone she only barely considered an acquaintance for help scared the hell out of her, and she probably had matters of her own she needed to deal with anyways. She really hoped she didn't pry any further.

Masumi flinched when Chiharu yelped. She pulled her hand back immediately. Figured she pulled a bad move, she started to panic as well. Enough people though she was a freak and a creep already. Damn it! She took a few steps back and started to scratch her neck and look off to the side. However, she took a sigh of relief and recomposed herself once it seemed like Chiharu had calmed down herself.

“Hahaha,” Masumi chuckled awkwardly. “Didn't mean to startle you, Hirata-san.“ It began to nag on Masumi a little that Chiharu still seemed nervous. She had to remember and reassure herself that this seemed to be more how she acted around everybody in class. It was nothing to take personally... hopefully. After a short pause, she continued.“I know my way around here, so just tell me where you need to go and I can guide you there. Honestly, I'm not really busy. I already got what I came here for, so don't sweat it. ”

She should have seen that coming. Dammit. Of course she would offer to help. This stuff always happens to her. Chiharu's eyes darted from side to side, silently wondering if she just run now to avoid the shame of asking someone to find a vintage game store for her. But that would probably be mean, and Masumi was offering anyways. Chiharu turned her to the floor, and scratched the back of her head. "W-Well, if you want to..."

Chiharu then perked her head back up, turning her gaze towards the taller girl. "T-There's this vintage game store here, yeah? A-At least, I think t-there is. I r-remember going to it y-years ago. I d-don't remember the n-name of it, b-but I'm s-sure it's here. I just...c-can't find it. I-If, uh, you don't know anything about that, i-it's fine."
