Name: FBI Special Agent Detective David Young Morrigan (but please, call me Dave. That’s what everyone calls me.) Gender: Male Age: 33 Clubs/Occupation: FBI Special Agent Personality: David is an eccentric man, to say the least. He is a very calm and levelheaded individual no matter the circumstances, how dire or surreal they may be. His ability to be unphased by the perplexing or gruesome makes him skilled at working under any circumstances. His tendency to make very stone-faced snarky remarks combined with his know-it-all tendencies make him somewhat grating on some people, but his general willingness to be friendly, patient, and helpful to others makes it easy for him to get information or assistance out of those he needs. Other than that, David’s greatest asset is his ability he calls ‘Mementos’ or ‘the ability to perceive the past.’ A near savant in criminal profiling and crime-scene investigation, he can visualize the exact moment and events by examining the signs of a scene. David’s clarity and focus, as well unique skills in profiling, is all due to his desire to find his wife’s killer. He remembers nothing from the day of his wife’s murder, having survived a near fatal gunshot wound to the head that erased all memory of the day, only remembering hearing a name starting with “D” before being shot. This resulted in his obsession and lifelong investigation into finding this “D” and putting them to justice. Because of this, anyone with a name starting with “D” is a potential suspect to him. Despite his genius, David is a very eccentric individual. His favorite drink is tequila, but refuses to drink until he finds D, and thus has replaced this drink with a obsession to have a very particular cup of coffee every morning which he uses to ‘read the fortune’ of his day. Not only that, his work-obsessed attitude has made him somewhat of an unfit man. Despite his extensive physical exercise, he suffers from poor diet and prefers to play with his food more than eat it, and ends up mostly eating junk food during his investigation. Perhaps most notably, due to him not seeming to get attached to people very often ever since the death of his wife, David has a ‘friend’ in his head named York. David and York seem to be an inseparable pair that only David can hear and the only one who seems to know David’s personal interests in hobbies such as his taste in sports, movies, music, and even video games. York is also the only person David is seeming to be willing to talk to about his wife, as if York himself was also a close friend of Emily. When not busy at work, David tends to stay cooped up and look over case notes or indulging in his hobbies instead of heading out, a habit he picked up after his wife’s death where he stayed in his apartment in Boston. for about a year straight trying to find any leads to his wife’s killer, to the point a co-worker had to come over to make sure he would eat. In a funny way, David is both reliant on others to keep him alive while also tending to keep them all at arm length. York claims it’s because he doesn’t want to lose anyone else, but David assures him it’s just because he wants to focus on finding D. History: David doesn’t remember much from before the attempt on his life and the death of his wife Emily. All he remembers was waking up in the hospital, his superior at the time known as Special Affairs Administrator Kayson telling him of what happened and who he was; FBI Special Agent Detective David Young Morrigan. However another friend known as York informed him of a very important clue. “They said something. I think it was their name before they shot you. It started with D.” Ever since then, David has been looking for this “D.” Looking for answers of who killed his wife, but why and what else happened that day. He spent a year on the case before it got cold, and he was forced to return to work with the murder of his wife being the only case he’s never solved in his career. Continuing to obsessively work on “Case D” in his spare time, David eventually found a breakthrough when he was sent to investigate a string of serial murders in the American midwest. There he was met with a perplexing case of the victims being killed with absolutely no evidence linking to what might have been the cause of death. Upon his investigation, however, he constantly came across a gang of high schoolers that seemed to all have some sort of connection with the cases. The case met with constant dead-ends until David, completely by chance, stumbled upon one of the kids standing over a dead body killed in the same mysterious means of the others. Placing the child under custody, he questioned them to reveal the truth. The child explained that the killer was a Town Official who evidently had the power of a ‘Persona’ and the kids themselves also have. She was evidently killing people getting in the way of her political career by way of using her persona to introduce them to ‘The Other Side’ where creatures known as Shadows, who would then kill the victims for her. Despite the absurdity of the situation, David took it all into account and slept on the idea of if he should believe him or not. The child assured him that if he wasn’t let go, he himself would be in danger since he’s been investigating the cases pertaining to her. It wasn’t until the next morning that after reading his coffee, David found the initials of the woman in his coffee. With an agreement with York, he released the high schooler and brought him to his friends on the excuse that there technically wasn’t anything linking him to the murder if means, motive, and opportunity couldn’t be proved. Within the month, said woman confessed to the crime to David in a frenzy, looking battered and wounded like she had been in a terrible fight. When David arrested her, he told her he knew of the The Other Side and asked for an explanation of how she discovered it and why she decided to use it to commit murders. Her response was “A man named D told me I could get away with it.” While it could have been a coincidence, David since then believed that this ‘D’ had to be connected with this ‘Other World’ and the Shadows as well. While some elements of the crime had to be adjusted for the public, and David’s superiors dismissed the existence of a ‘Shadow World’ it didn’t stop David from jumpstarting his investigation into D once more. One day about a year and a half later, his since retired and long-time friend Kayson came to his home. While David assumed it was another visit to check up on him much like the many he’s made since Emily’s death, Kayson revealed to David that this hasn’t been the first time ‘Shadow World’ has been involved in a case. The concept has shown up in both CIA and Interpol reports in addition to the FBI. He also told David that reports of disappearances and deaths similar to other cases involving this Shadow World were occurring in the Nagashima, Japan. David immediately decided he was going to Nagashima, and when Kayson told him his superiors would never approve of his investigation, claimed it would instead be a vacation ‘with some informal investigating on the side.’ Leaving his gun but keeping his badge, David booked a flight for Japan in hopes of revealing the truth as to if a Shadow World really exists, what connection it has to these personas, and if D was involved with either of them. Appearance: David has shaggy short length hair and has a constant heavy stubble that forms into a full beard, and stark blue/green eyes. He has a notable scar across his right temple that is noticeable do to how his hair doesn’t grow there anymore. Perhaps his most notable features are the fact he looks very American, which will stand out immensely in the streets of Japan, all while standing at 5’11. David likes to mix-and-match, but his most trademark look is black suspenders with a slightly ill-fitted and plain white button up and red tie with white diagonal pinstripes, complete with a dark gray suit jacket (never buttoned up) and slacks as well as black loafers. When not investigating, he’s tends not to wear his suit jacket and reveal he rolls his undershirt's sleeves up to his elbow. When raining, he’ll wear his standard issue FBI rain poncho that’s a dark green with the FBI logo on the back, but never seems to wear the hood up. Despite living in Boston, David doesn’t have much of an accent since he spends most of his time either abroad or in D.C. When speaking Japanese he is almost overly polite in his diction, and despite his tendency to ask people to forgive his poor Japanese, he seems to speak it fluidly. “Thanks to York.” He claims. Current Weapon/Combat Skill: While David is a very competent sharpshooter, the fact his investigation means he left his standard issue pistol back in America. He still is capable of going hand-to-hand or using improvised tools in a fight, however, and his history as a hockey player in high school and the constant physical requirements to be an FBI Agent has left him fit enough to be able to wield an assortment of weapons both large and small. All in all, David seems to prefer to use whatever he can get his hands on or bring to a fight just in case he needs to have a variance of tools at his disposal. He often uses them until they are broken or unusable, at which time he’ll throw them away instead of repairing them. Mask: David’s face becomes awash with shadows that cover the top of his face all the way down to his nose, leaving only his mouth to be seen. Persona: [X] ~Name: Zodiac Killer ~Arcana: Hermit ~Drain: ~Weak: Gravity ~Null: ~Reflect: ~Resist: Dark ~Skills: Kouha, Analysis, Single Shot Have you read all the stickies?: Yeah, that hasn’t changed. Note: Please don't ever actually call David 'Dave' IC, even though he'll ask everyone to. Consider it a personal favor to me. Edited by JacobSteakfries, Jul 14 2017, 03:24 AM.
