After school, Sio Murakami had decided to come to Tanjiro Shopping Center to kill some time before heading back home. The young author had a handful of friends back at school, but she only interacted with them at school. She virtually had no friends outside of school, though she didn't seem to mind it much. While she did interact with other Persona-users whenever she went into the ruins to unwind herself as well as to see whether she could find those who ended up being spirited away by the golden butterfly or not, it's safe to say that Sio didn't socialize much with other people. Her uncle, being a total recluse and an unfriendly grump, also didn't help her case. Still, Sio didn't seem to be troubled by the fact that she had a rather poor social skill. According to her uncle, as long as she did well in exam and didn't get herself into trouble, Sio was free to live her life however she wanted. She had been living alone in her apartment, with her uncle coming to visit her twice a month. Sio received her monthly allowance from her uncle some time ago, and she decided to use the money to buy things like stationary tools, foods and other essential things. But for now, she decided to just walk around the shopping center, looking around and killing some time. There was nothing else to do in her apartment, considering that she didn't even have a television. While she did own a laptop (which was a birthday present from her uncle), she didn't use it much besides logging into Bedlam. As she walked around, sightseeing, Sio somehow felt a little parched. Luckily enough, there was a nearby vending machine. She headed over to the vending machine and the list of drinks the machine had to offer. "Hmm... Durian Soda..." she shook her head. She couldn't comprehend how people could stand its stench. "Dr. Salt?" From what she had heard, it's a popular beverage, but it's an acquired taste considering how salty it was. "1Up, huh?" From what she had heard, it's rather popular among gamers, but she wasn't one, so she didn't know much how it tasted. "Let's see... Mad Bull, or... Moonkist..." these two were her preferred drinks, but she only wanted to buy one. "Hmm... which one to buy, hmm?" In the end, she decided to buy Mad Bull. Inserting some coins into the coin slot, she selected the beverage that she wanted to buy, and a can of Mad Bull was dropped into the take-out, making a 'plonk' noise as it was dropped. Sio took out the drink before she walked away from the vending machine. She didn't look what was ahead of her as she popped the can open so that she could start drinking it. ”Hey, be careful where you're going!” It was a request, an urgent and loud one, but not really angry. More attention-grabbing than anything else. To better make sure this chick doesn't accidentally have a head-on collision. A dark-haired young lady too tall for the ideal of someone about Sio's age was ahead of her. As Yayoi was actually looking as she was going, she stepped aside in time and was seen to the left of the girl if she looked straight up. She had a shopping bag in hand and an outfit that was practical but not the most girly thing around. Hiking boots, jeans and a flannel top with the sleeves rolled up was more lumberjack wear than a girl about town. Really, it seemed like more and more people were just thoughtless about where they were going… |

Sho just finished buying some jagariko and pocky for a snack before heading to Nobuyoshi's Games for work. He just finished exiting the store holding the grocery bag at his side. After five days of a meager meal in the morning and a slightly better meal at night, Sho decided this would help him not starve during his shift and wouldn't get too in the way while attending to his duties. Still, it felt bad spending money on something so minor that wouldn't last, while he had hope commissions would start picking up he wasn't getting too excited. You're so wasteful Sho! Surely you could have lasted a bit longer till payday. Sho's common sense berated. Sho trudged along and was just rounding the corner before coming to a dead stop as he felt something crunch under the sole of his shoe. He winced and stepped back looking at who the victim of his inattentiveness was. Color faded from his face as he saw the bloody horror before him. "N-no..." Sho whispered as he stared at the shattered form of poor Tanjiro. The white Pomeranian's body lay in roughly ten, tiny plastic bits. It wasn't the real Tanjiro but it might as well have been with how close the capsule prize miniature resembled the real thing. "Shooooo...How could you do such a terrible thing to me...Tanjiro!" The pomerainan's chipper tone wasn't at all hindered at all by their apparent dismemberment, but the accusation shot to Sho's very core. "I...I didn't mean to hurt you Tanjiro, r-really!" Sho said as he bent down to sweep the "corpse" of Tanjiro into his hands. "I-I can fix you, I promise I can!" Sho murmured as the black haired boy was still stooped over the poor broken mascot oblivious to the people around him and any wayward stares he was receiving. "Eep!" Sio almost bump into someone, and thanks to the warning and that person moving aside, that tragedy thankfully didn't happen. She had popped the tab of her drink when she realized that she wasn't looking while walking, so she didn't know whether she spilled some of her drink or not when she almost bumped into someone earlier. "Sorry," she looked at the person she almost bumped into, and noted that it was a girl who dressed like a lumberjack, or lumberjill in the girl's case. "I wasn't looking. It won't happen again," she apologized to the girl whom she almost bumped into, promising her that she wouldn't be so careless again in the future. She was about to leave, thinking that the matter was resolved, when a voice suddenly stopped her dead in her tracks. She turned around to look at a boy who was wailing about hurting Tanjiro or something like that. In his hands seemed to be some kind of broken toy or something along the lines. "..." Sio blinked, trying to make sense of what was happening before looked over her shoulder to address the girl whom she almost bumped into earlier. "Your friend?" Sio inquired, pointing at the boy while looking at the girl. The answer was most likely a 'no', but she figured that it wouldn't hurt to ask. Edited by Prince Arjuna, Jun 19 2017, 10:14 PM.

Well, nobody was hurt, so Yayoi had a hard time getting really upset about it. The dark-haired girl was just a bit high strung with everything that happened at all. She wasn't relishing the idea of her or anyone else having a drink spilled on them thanks to someone being careless. ”No big deal, I guess.” She mumbled in response. That was some pretty serious caterwauling, it got her attention and the tinier girl's too. She turned to her with those striking eyes of hers and asked if she'd met the guy who was all broken up about a figure that was…all broken up. She offered a sympathetic grimace, and responded to the question shaking her head. ”Nah, never met the guy before.” Ah, would you just look at him? That wouldn't do. That figure seemed to mean a lot to him, So no way was she just gonna shrug her shoulders and leave it at that. She approached him, surprisingly gingerly despite how she looked. ”Oh, hey um…maybe I can help? Little glue and some patience and well…I know it's not the same, but it's something, right?” She just happened to have some good quality glue that would work well on plastics and those types of items too. She had it for her own projects at home but…a few dabs wasn't gonna be too bad, was it? |

Shoooo, you better fix me up right away! A mall mascot can't be looking like this in front of their adoring fans. Tanjiro yipped. Sho only whispered another apology in response. Sho had finished collecting the remainder of Tanjiro's body in his hands when he turned to see a small group staring at him. Why were they all staring at him like that? Did Sho have something on his face? Wait, he was disrupting foot traffic in the mall, Sho should probably get moving. A wave of embarrassment hit him as Sho realized he'd probably been talking out loud to the broken figure. Who wouldn't be broken up over destroying such a cute and lovable mascot? Rising to his feet, Sho looked at two girls in particular in the small gathering that had more or less dispersed once their curiosity had been sated. They were staring at him expectantly for some reason...had they just asked him something? He felt even more embarrassed now that he was being rude, not noticing she said anything during his Tanjiro's tragedy. Sho had turned to address the girl who approached him. Was she a lumberjack? Did japan even have lumberjacks? Sho half imagined her with a woodcutting ax in her hands before returning his attention to her dark brown eyes. He noticed she was looking at the broken body of Tanjiro in his hands with a sympathetic expression and quickly blurted out his reply to a question he just now processed. "Thank you, that's very kind of you to offer but I feel like its my responsibility since I crushed poor Tanjiro. I never meant to crush him, I was just...not paying attention." Sho's shoulder's sagged. "I work with plastics a lot so this isn't really that big of a deal," Sho internally flinched when he said that, feeling as if was downplaying the mistake he just made, "but it doesn't excuse my inattentiveness." He added. Sho was feeling flustered. It was rare that he had any human interaction outside of school or work, especially when he was the focus of two girls, one of which seemed to be genuinely sympathetic to his plight. With his free hand with the grocery bag around his wrist, Sho scratched the back of his head as he floundered, trying to figure out what else to say. |

Sio noted that the girl whom she almost bumped earlier had offered the boy to fix the broken toy while the boy seemed to be declining the girl's offer. It seemed that the boy was devastated by the fact that he unintentionally broke the toy, which was a capsule prize miniature of the mascot of the shopping center itself, Tanjiro. She could understand the appeal of such a lovable mascot, but she wasn't sure if it's worth crying over or not. For a while, she had no idea what to say to him before she glanced at the girl. "Let's move," Sio suggested. "Go to somewhere we can sit," she said to them in her usual way of speaking. While she could speak normally, she's already used to speak that way, and she saw no need to change her way. Also, she felt bad for the boy after seeing him being all broken up about some broken toy, so she'd like to help him in any way she could. "Don't know how to fix toys, but I'd like to help," she said before she nodded to the girl clad in the flannel top. Sio glanced around to see if there's any place they could go and sit back without disturbing the passers-by. Then, she saw a newly-opened family restaurant where they could deal with their current issue. "Let's go over there," she gestured at the restaurant, suggesting to both the girl in flannel top and the boy holding the pieces of broken toy that they should go there. "If it's alright with you," she added, still retaining her poker face. Even so, she was concerned with the boy, so she would glance at him and the broken Tanjiro figurine, wondering if she could help him out with it. Then, she smiled at the girl in flannel top and said, "My treat. My apology for almost bumping into you." While she had already apologized beforehand and the girl didn't seem to mind much, she still wanted to make amend for almost spilling her drink onto her when she almost bumped into her earlier. Plus, she had received her allowance from her uncle earlier, so she believed that it's alright to spend some of her money for this. Edited by Prince Arjuna, Jun 20 2017, 05:21 PM.

Her offer to provide a helping hand was politely turned down. She could sure understand people who would rather handle things with their own hands when they made a mistake, but there was something a bit…odd about this guy. She wasn't able to put her finger on why though. She scratched the back of her neck and smiled politely.”Sure, I can understand that. But really, it's no problem. I like doing that kind of thing too, so don't hesitate if you need another pair of hands!” Still was a bit sad, even if it was one of the lowest-staked things she'd ever witnessed. Still, a little tragedy was a tragedy to someone, so she hoped the operation to put back together poor Tanjiro-Kun was a success. The fact that this little incident was like a total reinforcement of what she was telling the other girl was totally forgotten, though. All they could do was all take the lesson to heart in the future. Repeating it at that moment availed no one anything. The girl with the drink offered to help in her own way too. The restaurant looked pretty nice. And a relatively quiet place with a nice level surface area was ideal for the kind of work this guy needed. That was nice and all, and the offer to treat her for something that almost happened was honestly beyond generous. To be fair, she was feeling a bit peckish… ”Yeah, that'd be awfully sweet of you—Ah! Where are my manners? My names Yayoi! Yayoi Kawai. Nice to meet you.” She felt a bit self-conscious. Here she was, dressed like the illegitimate child of a man off a roll of paper towels (but it was so comfortable!) and introducing herself, with her name that fit more for someone's grandmother than a girl her age.Ah, it made her kind of wanna go home. Just a little bit! |

Sho was slightly relieved when the girl before him accepted his refusal for help, though her offer wasn't entirely unwelcome, his interest was even piqued when she said she enjoyed this kind of work. He never hardly had the opportunity to collaborate with someone on any of his projects. Nobuyoshi-san was the only one who would help Sho with projects for the store but never with his commissions. Personal projects? He probably wouldn't understand, Nobuyoshi-san usually thought a man takes care of his own problems...except when you can get paid for helping. Sho smiled. It didn't touch his eyes. "I'll keep that in mind, Thanks again for the offer." Sho reached into his school bag, which he almost completely forgot he had over his shoulder, and started putting the shattered pieces of Tanjiro's body into a small, seal-able plastic bag. He just finished when he heard the other girl's suggestion about the restaurant. Wait...what? Sho was even more at a loss for words now than he was a few moments ago. Suddenly they were treating him to lunch (if the offer extended to him)? What game were they playing? What did they want from him? Were they just the nicest people alive or something? Sho tried to control his expression but his bewilderment probably flashed across his face before he grinned politely at the girl with the flat expression. "That sounds great, but I'm expected at work soon. Let me check the time first." Sho explained, he reached into his pocket to check the time on his phone which had a turtle charm dangling from it. His brow furrowed when he found out he had about half an hour before he needed to be at work, which was just at the far side of the mall. Somewhat of a dilemma. Sho originally intended to just use the extra time before clocking in to fix Tanjiro which would give him even more time to start on one of his commissions before working on store projects and basic work. On the other hand; he could fix Tanjiro, eat at a pretty nice looking restaurant at no expense of his own, and have the company of two very nice girls who he could maybe...befriend? Sho felt a pang of excitement at the idea. Was it worth the detour from his routine though? What if they were just being polite, like he was trying to be. Before he could think any further he heard Yayoi introduce herself which reminded Sho that these two still had no idea what the dramatic griever of Tanjiro name was. "Oh, don't worry Kawai-san! I also forgot to introduce myself. I'm Sho. Sho Fukamachi, Its a pleasure to meet both of you!" Sho bowed deeply and hoped Yayoi didn't mind Sho using her last name, it seemed like the polite thing to do since Sho didn't know her very well yet to use her first name, even using San since he thought it showed the most respect for his peer. He turned his attention to the other girl who had yet to introduce herself, "I have some time...so lets go, if it's no trouble to you." Edited by Dasmahnamyo, Jun 20 2017, 11:17 PM.

"Yayoi Kawai... and Sho Fukamachi?" Sio muttered, trying to memorize those names. She was really bad at names, and she had the tendency to forget people's names, so she'd like to remember those names so that she wouldn't have to come up with nicknames on the spot. When she was certain that she could remember them, she smiled at both Yayoi and Sho before she introduced herself to them. "Sio. Sio Murakami," she said. Now that she had introduced herself to them, it's about time for them to go to the restaurant where Sho could focus on repairing the toy. "Let's go," she said to both Yayoi and Sho, turning on her heel and heading over to the restaurant. "My treat. For both of you." She expected both of them to follow her into the restaurant. She invited Yayoi as a sign of apology for almost spilling her drink onto her, and she asked Sho to tag along because if he wanted to repair the broken Tanjiro figurine, he could do it while in the restaurant where he could use the table to make the repair much easier. She didn't even wait for a response from either of them as she expected them to follow her into the restaurant like it was the most natural thing to do. Inside the restaurant, they would be welcomed by a few waitresses. The family restaurant was still relatively new, and there were only a few patrons to be found inside, which made the restaurant all nice and quiet, suitable for Sho to do the repairing on the broken Tanjiro figurine. There was nothing remarkable about the restaurant, except maybe the fact that all the waitresses seemed to be wearing cat ears, for some unfathomable reasons.
