Name: Kazuhiro Igarashi, goes by 'Kaz' Gender: Male Age: 19 Class: First year at Rokujima University, undeclared major Clubs/Occupation: Rokujima Tabletop Gaming Club (He's the Dungeon Master of the Club, but oddly he's not the president of the club), works part time at a cafe Downtown. Personality: Kazuhiro suffers from anxiety, depression, bouts of derealization, 'brain fog', and depersonalization that stem from Generalized Anxiety Disorder. From time to time- usually during time of severe stress- Kazuhiro will be paralyzed by the overwhelming feeling that nothing's real and that he's not really there. He's been going to therapy for this, and it seems to be helping, but he still has moments where- as he describes it- 'everything turns into white noise and blurry shapes'. He hides the constant feeling of alienation his depersonalization causes him with a veil of off-beat humor and sarcasm, but it's not hard for others to see he's not happy with his life. Kazuhiro finds that his hobbies help keep the feelings of disconnection at bay; he's found tabletop games in particular to bridge the gap he percieves between himself and others. In particular, he enjoys playing Dungeons & Dragons, and keeps what he calls his 'lucky D20' in his pocket for when he feels helpless. The biggest problem in Kazuhiro is that he doesn't know what he wants to make of himself and still doesn't have a plan for his future, despite being constantly told by his therapist to get his life in order. Ultimately, Kazuhiro's entire sense of self is in flux: he doesn't know where he's going, he doesn't always know where he's been, and the road that lies before him requires him to make a choice that he doubts he's ready for. History: Kazuhiro has always lived in Nagashima. His dad is the manager of a grocery store, and his mother waits tables at a restaurant. Kazuhiro was pretty normal as a child. At least, he was until about his tenth birthday. Kazuhiro was sitting in the passenger seat of his dad's truck when his dad lost control. The truck went off road, down a hill and hitting a tree. At first, it seemed like Kazuhiro was fine, save for a sore head and a cut lip. However, Kazuhiro began to complain of feeling miserable and feeling 'like a ghost'. He also became extremely anxious at minor things that he once was able to just roll with- things like his dad being late for picking him up from school suddenly began to cause Kazuhiro an incredible amount of distress. At first, his parents just chalked it up to him dealing with the aftermath of the car crash. But it got worse, to the point where sometimes they'd call his name multiple times and get no response despite the fact that he was looking right at them. He also began having panic attacks at school. After multiple trips to doctors and therapists, a cause was determined- the car crash had been a life stressor that had triggered a form of Generalized Anxiety Disorder that Kazuhiro was genetically predisposed to. Kazuhiro underwent countless therapy sessions, and only in high school was he able to get his anxiety and depersonalization/derealization problems under control. However, he's never been able to shake his feelings of alienation and loneliness. Appearance: Kazuhiro's hair is dark brown and goes down to his shoulders. He stands at 5'5" and weighs 153 pounds, making him a bit shorter and pudgier than the average Japanese male. He has a square face shape and a scar on his upper lip. He has a slouched posture and often complains of back pains. He doesn't take much stock in his personal appearance, so his hair is usually unkempt and his clothes are usually rumpled. He also tends to wear very plain clothes that never seem to be quite the right size- everything seems to be either slightly too big or slightly too small for him. From time to time, Kazuhiro can be seen fidgeting with a green 20-sided die that he considers lucky. He's more likely to fidget with it when he's stressed out. Current Weapon/Combat Skill: Does Dungeons & Dragons count? It doesn't? In that case, Kazuhiro has absolutely zero combat experience. Mask: A helmet that covers Kazuhiro's entire head and is designed to look like a phrenology skull. Persona: Ichabod Crane is a tall humanoid figure, lanky to the point of being almost rail-thin. It wears a brilliant blue Colonial-era longcoat, a blood-red cravat, and black pointed boots. On its head is a large black tricorne hat with the front-facing point pulled down so low the shadow obscures the figure's eyes. The rest of its face is covered up by what looks to be the bottom half of a plague doctor's mask. In the left hand, it holds a large leather-bound book. In the right, it holds a flintlock pistol. ~Name: Ichabod Crane ~Arcana: The Fool ~Drain: ~Weak: Fire ~Null: ~Reflect: ~Resist: Light ~Skills: Hama, Single Shot, Sukukaja Have you read all the stickies? (NOT AN OPTIONAL SECTION) Yep. Read them again, just to refresh my memory. Roleplay Sample Edited by fearjunkie, Jul 19 2017, 09:00 PM.

"...does this clockwork hand follow you... or guide you?"

To be blunt, Fear, I think we need to see you posting more here before we go approving any Wild Cards just yet, and I'd like to see you post more substantial posts in general. That said, the timing is kind of bad since we're in the process of re-evaluating our Wild Card ruleset anyway. So at best I'm going to consider this application "on hold" for the time being. |
