Yes… I’d sell the souls of all humanity to the devil if I thought it’d get us a happy ending.

Kaneshiro Metalworks wasn't just known for pricey but quality work, or the grumpiness of it's blacksmith, but also their dedication for getting the products to their customers. The normal procedure was for the customer to be called to the forge upon completion of the order, for them to be shown the work, and then take it home. On some occasions however, they'd have to take the order to the customer, for a bit of an extra charge. Still, they were going to get what they ordered one way or another. When it was just Noriko working at the shop, the deliveries would be waited until after the shop had closed. But now that Hideki was there (for better or worse) it meant that she could have him run orders around just as fast as she could finish them, which meant more money coming into the shop, which meant more financial stability for the Metalworks. She had to admit, she liked how it worked out. Even if she didn't exactly appreciate how it had become that way. And today was no different. There was a katana order transferred to them from Ichiban that she took care of recently, and she sent Hideki out with the address that was given to them when the order was first placed. "Just put it into your map thing on your phone, Tachibana" she said as she talked to the boy with her own mobile device. "It can't be that hard. No matter what you do, it's going to be up to you to get this thing delivered. You know that, right?" |

It was more than obvious that Hideki felt very nervous at the moment. And given how the things developed in his Persona circle, how couldn't he? Not only the Black Hoods were beginning to poke their heads out, Miss Yellow appeared in Bedlam, with her usual brand of warning and threats. The latter was worrying Hideki greatly, given how he inadvertently made himself a target for Yamaguchi to hunt down, all because of that damn key. He knew he had to leave it there under that pile of swords, but instead he had to be a giant gumbass and take the key with him. Perhaps they should have given the key to Ms. Gold when they had the chance, but it was too late now. Now he had to just, not go the Ruins at all. For anyone else, that'd mean good news, but for some reason, Hideki couldn't help but feel rather uneasy about such prospect. In fact, his worries were so much, that mind was kinda clouded at the moment. It was almost enough for him to forget what he was supposed to do, deliver a sword to some location. After walking five minutes, Noriko called him, to make sure he was doing a good job, something that would probably make Hideki feel a bit insulted at another day, but right now, that was the least of his worried. "Uh huh, yeah, no worries, I'll get it delivered in no time." He said, looking a bit distracted. He indeed could just the GPS of his phone to guide himself, but at the moment, he didn't exactly listen to that piece of advice. "If something happens, I'll call back, alright?" And with that, Hideki hanged up. Noriko was probably going to grump at him for sounding so dismissal, but he needed to do a delivery, and there was no time to waste! And now that the traffic light was red, the cars stopped on the street across him, allowing him to cross it. He really needed to talk to someone over this situation, as well as what to do about the Ruins. One thing was for sure, he must not give Miss Yellow the key. |

Miharu sighed, something she seemed to be doing more and more these days. Staring at the notebook she had shown her godmother, she couldn't help but scowl at all the markings and footnotes the blue-eyed lady had made. "Why does English have to be such a hard language?" Miharu said while frowning. "How the heck do you 'ship' things on land? And why do you say your nose can 'run' and your feet can 'smell'? It makes no sense!" Miharu supposed that learning a foreign language was the least of her problems. While lessons with her godmother were much better than the many whippings she received at the hand of her grandmother, she still did feel rather suppressed. It was rather clear that despite having a tad more freedom, her godmother still wanted her to be something she obviously was not. It just so happened it wasn't the demure "Suzuno" that Akane had wanted her to be. Lost in her own thought as she stared at her horrendous English, she crossed the street just as Hideki was about to do the same. Ignoring she was in his way and was just about to bump into him. |

It was fair to say that his face had 'worried' written all over. He needed to think of something to get him out of danger, and return back to the Ruins. Perhaps he can try talking to a veteran about it? Maybe summon Ms. Gold again and give it to her? She seems vaguely on their side at least, which was at least something he can count on. But amid his thoughts, he didn't really see Miharu coming, and once he stepped on the sidewalk, he collided with the upperclassman. "AAH!" He let out, landing on the floor as his gained a new bump, letting go the box he was delivering. "Damn it... Sorry!" He said, rubbing his head as he looked at whoever was the victim of this assault. And it turns out to be... "... S-Senpai? Oh no, are you okay??" |

"Ack! What? What?" Miharu yelped in surprise. She looked around warily until she realized Hideki in front of her. She instantly relaxed and breathed out. "Oh, Tachibana-san. I'm sorry, I was lost in thought. I'm alright, how about you?" She looked at the street light and gestured to the side she had come from. "Um, we should cross before we get run over." And she wasn't joking, either. After all, she had literally witnessed her senior almost get run by a bus and also saved her junior from a car. Nagashima crossings were not safe. |

"Aah... Yeah, I'm okay, don't worry. I was distracted as well." He said, as he tried to give her a smile so that she doesn't feel guilty over accidentally smacking him. It'd be then when he'd let out a surprised gasp, and got up from the floor. Was it because of her warning? Not exactly, it was because the package was now on the floor. "THE PACKAGE!" He let out, as he went ahead and picked it up, and ran towards safety. It might have been a bit rude, but he had to make sure the delivery was safe and sound, he couldn't risk a car running over it! Once he set foot on the sidewalk, he did a small pant, a bit out of breath from his sudden sprint. "Ha... Sorry Miharu-Senpai, but I needed to make sure the package was safe." He said, not even turning towards her, as he hung his head in exhaustion. |

Miharu tilted her head in mild curiosity as she saw Hideki bolt and get the package. When he apologized, she just let out a small sheepish chuckle. "It's fine. I suppose I'm the one who caused that slip up anyways, my bad," she said. She noticed that Hideki seemed out of sorts. Or at the very least preoccupied. She really did hope she didn't stop him while being in the middle of an errand. "Huh, that looks pretty bulky. Is it fragile or something?" she asked. "O-oh, I take it you're probably in a hurry somewhere, too, huh? Is that for your house or something?" |

He didn't hear her correction, but he did hear the curiosity she expressed over the package he was carrying. "Oh? Ah, not exactly." He said, showing her the box itself. "It contains a katana, sealed inside a case. It came from the Ichiban Metalworks to my place of work, and I was tasked to delivering it somewhere else." Come to think about it, did he ever tell her that he had a job? He didn't remember. "A-Ah, I mean, I still got time and stuff, it's just that the co-worker that assigned me this has, quite the attitude!" That was an understatement. But then, he looked at the box itself, and began thinking about something. "... Actually, are you busy or something? I wouldn't mind a bit of company." Miharu would notice that his tone didn't come out as flirty, or even friendly. It felt more like, a worried tone, almost as if he felt he was going to a dark forest, in the middle of the line, and need someone's company so that he wouldn't feel afraid. |

"Accompany you?" she asked curiously. The lilac-haired girl had, indeed, picked up the rather anxious tone in Hideki's request. Miharu thought for a moment if she needed to do anything else for the day. As far as she was concerned, she only had groceries left to do and she didn't need to worry about that too much as she had the rest of the day to do it. Besides, she could use something to help her forget how bad her English apparently was. She offered Hideki a small smile accompanied with a nod. "Not at all," she said. "I'd be more than happy to go with you. Besides, from the way you're putting things, what you're holding must be really valuable. So, where are we heading?" |

Thankfully, Miharu accepted his petition, which definitely felt like a weight was taken from his shoulders. He indeed had more than enough reason to be worried half to death, but at least he can set those thoughts aside and spend a moment with a friend, which would at least help him think better. He definitely must come up with a plan to get rid of the key, but that will come a bit later. "Oh man, thanks Senpai." He said, doing a small bow of gratitude before continuing his way, with Miharu following. "From what I understand, we must go somewhere in the 'back streets' area to deliver this sword. The odd thing is that, we don't have a lot of info on the order itself, outside of what it is and where it should be taken, maybe the Ichiban people just forgot to state who must be the receiver?" Hideki answered, doing a small shrug. It was odd, but an order was an order, and if Noriko didn't feel that it was right to ask questions, then he'd have to save them for later. Of course, it wouldn't be too long for him to realize that Miharu was carrying something of her own as well. "Oh, by the way, what were you seeing there?" He said, pointing at her notebook. |
