The Weather

Okay, so...trying to take my mind off the terrifying thing in the park earlier, I realized something. Does it seem like the weather has been more consistent this year? Like, we didn't have any weird heat waves in the winter and now that it's properly spring there haven't been any cold snaps or freak snowstorms.

Do you all think that this means the probability thing is evening out?

The weather does seem to be evening out. As far as I remember, though, it's always been screwed up around here. Some kind of microclimate thing, I thought. What do you mean about Probability Thing, though?

Check the document index friend. Probability is screwed all to hell in this town. Or did the behavior of everyone around you not clue you in?

I grew up around here. All of that seemed pretty normal, honestly. I mean, I went to college in Tokyo, and I just thought it was a boring town.

What's this about the weather, now? I did live here for a while while Kyo was a baby and my husband was finishing college. I don't remember there being any strange weather patterns. I don't remember it being any different than Tokyo. Mind you, I did spend a lot of time indoors.

The erratic weather patterns only began to really get bad over the past few years. There were some rumblings that it was a result of global warming, but the precise effects were inconsistent with that explanation. Between that and the unusual abundance of fog that the Inaba region had to deal with, experts began to come up with various explanations for it, but most agree now that it's all just the result of freak accidents in the weather patterns. That perhaps a butterfly flapped its wings in Hawaii and caused... six different climate calamities in Japan. Not many people truly believed it, but when people are afraid not to know the answer to something, they'll take any story that makes a modicum of sense. At the very least we didn't get any doomsday-cultist ramblers on our streets... not over the weather, anyway.

@Penelope

That's interesting -- around when did you leave town? Maybe we can trace something here.

Kyo was maybe three or four at the time, so... around fourteen years or so ago?
