[uncomfortable whimpering]
Name: Kaoru Kita (北 薫)
Gender: Male
Age: 15 (born August 2nd, 1998)

Class: Taiyoutono High School 1-1

Clubs/Occupation: Art Club

Personality: At school and around adults, he's generally able to keep up a strong facade of a perfect teenage boy. Brimming with confidence-within-reason and eager to present himself as attentive and friendly, he's a soft-spoken model student. If he had his way, he would immediately give these forced aspects of his personality the shaft, but at the moment, he's too terrified of disappointing his parents to do it.

When he's on his own time, the mask is discarded, and he's practically unrecognizable as the polite young man that goes to Taiyoutono. The "real" Kaoru is a short-tempered delinquent with a bit of a mean streak and a burning desire to do something - at least, something that doesn't involve what his parents expect of him - important and noticeable. His counterculture stance is less directed towards anything on a large scale, and is almost entirely the result of frustration towards his upbringing - he's not planning on starting a revolution so much as venting. As headstrong and aggressive as he is, he's unlikely to outwardly antagonize someone unless they piss him off first - granted, as noted above, pissing him off is pretty easy, as many a bully or the other various scumbags that hang around the town's backstreets can attest to. He's not a bad kid, just angry and trying really hard to express that anger in the only way he knows how.

History: Kaoru is a Nagashima native, born into a cozy home with two stable, well-meaning parents. Said parents, stuck in the working-class world and absolutely determined for their son to succeed in life more than they had, would constantly push Kaoru to do his best in school, volunteer around town, and prepare for his post-high school future. At the behest of his mother aiming for him to take a hobby, a younger Kaoru began taking art lessons, quickly revealing a natural talent for it. Despite not particularly enjoying the activity, he begrudgingly kept it up for his mother's sake, gradually refining his talents as he grew older.

He fell into line as a polite, well-spoken young man with a good head on his shoulders, clearly destined to do great things after finishing high school. Top of the class, an attentive listener, and an overachiever closely involved with his extracurricular clubs. He absolutely hated it.

This past year, Kaoru finally became unable to deal with the intense pressure he was put under by his parents, barely able to hide his frustrations and desperately trying to find some way to vent without losing his parent's approval. Sports, writing, cooking - no other hobbies ever clicked with him. It was only after stumbling on late-night documentaries about the graffiti culture of places like Hong Kong and Philadelphia did Kaoru find something that finally appealed to him - and got him to actually start putting his talents to use for his own enjoyment.

Inspired by both his research into graffiti culture (which, much to his chagrin, is practically non-existent in Japan) and some of the stereotypical depictions of delinquents he'd seen in manga, Kaoru became a troublemaker, picking fights and defacing property around Nagashima. His artwork can easily be identified with the English tag "Cleaner" - the graffiti that's constantly marring Reitaku’s walls? That's probably him.

He's retained his model student ways since beginning his first year of high school, and his parents and school are entirely unaware of his delinquent tendencies, though it's surely only a matter of time until he slips up.

Appearance: A rather lanky-looking dude, with long arms and legs. His face is thin, brown eyes a little small, and skin pale. The bridge of his nose is a bit on the long side. He's got the average, mostly-in-shape build you would expect out of a Japanese teenage boy, around 168 cm (5’6”) and 55 kg (120 lbs).

When “incognito”, he'll wear his moderate-length brown hair in a way styled just enough to keep his bangs out of his eyes, and his school uniform is worn entirely properly. When on his own time, he slicks his hair back and exchanges the uniform for cheap T-shirts and thin jackets, tattered dark blue jeans, and a pair of dark brown boots he absolutely adores. A number of his clothes sport paint stains, while others hold designs - of varying quality - that he painted himself. When painting with spray cans, he's likely to don a surgical mask to avoid harming himself with the fumes.

He's almost always carrying two things with him - a pair of earbuds extending out of jacket pockets and almost always playing some kind of punk or hip-hop music, and a black backpack which, besides the usual school assortment, holds changes of clothes, paint cans, packs of surgical masks, and graffiti stencils made from cardboard.

Current Weapon/Combat Skill: A spray paint can, emptied of aforementioned paint and filled with rocks. The cap has been removed, and Kaoru's knotted a yellow and green bungee cord inside the entrance - he swings the DIY monstrosity as a makeshift flail. The can has been removed of all labels, and Kaoru has decorated it with his own, various designs - most noticeably the Japanese onomatopoeia for “smack” written in exaggerated katakana.
Mask: A black surgical mask, decorated with abstract, bright green graffiti art.

Persona:
~Name: Jean
The lead character of Victor Hugo's epic novel Les Misérables, Jean Valjean served a harsh nineteen year prison sentence for petty thievery and repeated attempts to escape. The experience left him a bitter, jaded man with a contempt for society before an encounter with a kind bishop makes him set out to better himself.

As Kaoru’s Persona, Jean appears as a masculine figure wearing a tattered, dirty, bright red prisoner jumpsuit underneath a high collared, black longcoat. A long yellow scarf covers the lower half of his face, the end trailing behind him and visibly fading into ether, and a black top hat sits atop his head. The collar, scarf, and shadow from the top hat prevent his facial features from being distinctly made out. Jean's long white hair, wispy and ragged, flows out of the back of the hat. He carries a musket, and tied to his waist by a rope are two silver candlesticks.

~Arcana: I: The Magician
~Drain:
~Weak: Dark
~Null:
~Reflect:
~Resist: Light
~Skills: Single Shot, Hama, Dia

Have you read all the stickies? I don't actually know how to read, but I got Google to text-to-speech the stickies for me.
