So i'm gonna preface this by saying this is only for people who have relation that are likewise involved with us. If you don't have any relatives and it's just you, please refrain from just saying something along the lines of 'WHO CARES LOL'.

Or do say it, I don't have any actual control over you as a person. Anyway it goes like this? What's your persona, where's it stem from? Do you know it's role in the pantheon it belongs to? Then really are you aware of your relative's information on the same subject?

Are they related? Opposites? Same pantheon or different? Do you happen to have characters from a game or something? Same question, different context.

I thought it might be a fun discussion to spark anyway.

There's a thread for Persona backgrounds already, bit of an old one. Could be a useful resource.

Anyway, yeah, me and my mom are both Persona-users. My Persona is Uzume, Shinto goddess of the dawn. My previous Persona were all sexy demonic women from videogames, so I guess getting something mythological this time around is significant. I'll see if I can find mom, get her to post hers.

You know, people would probably be more interested in talking about theoreticals with you if you laid off the venom and snark. Rum and cola's better, anyway.

I'll keep it in mind. Though if you've really got a major itch about my behavior let's have you talk to me in a private message as opposed to hounding me, yeah? I'd also appreciate if you elaborated on "demons from games" there, what role did they serve etc.

Alcohol's generally for cowards btw. I'll stick with that "honey over vinegar" saying.

Sexy demon women from games. When I first awakened, it was a fightin' game character, not much t' go on, coulda been the player or the enemy; she was nice but I had frequent Shadow visits. When I fell apart and went the wrong way down the ascension track, it was a boss monster, who basically took over full-time for my Shadow. When I got back on the right track, it was Bayonetta, a player character in an action game, and she was nice... not much Shadow activity during that time, although I did have to deal with a troublesome doppelganger Shadow around then. Also the first two appealed to boob guys but the third one was more for ass men, but I doubt that means much.

So what you're asking is if there's any similarities between the Personas of family members, on a whole?

Well, me and my brother both have Personas from Norse myth. His is Baldr and has always been, while I've moved through a couple different ones. Started off with Skuld, took a brief detour down Greek myth with Pythia, and finally ended up on Skadi.

The common factor with all of mine and my bro's Persona are that all of them are associated with fate. Which isn't really that rare with Norse shit, from what I understand, but Skuld's the Norn that governs the future, while Skadi is, according to Frogface, a "disir" or something like that, which are goddesses of fate. And Pythia was Apollo's oracle, so yeah.

My brother and I's Personas differ from most, since they're actually historical figures and not mythological figures. We started off with Romulus and Remus for our Personas, and Makoto ascended to Brutus later, while I recently ascended to Cincinnatus.

I have a Hawaiian volcano goddess looking like a lava lamp, my dad got some dude on a boat.

I don't think they're too closely related.

It'd be nice if you elaborated some, Wub. Vague details aren't going to help me much with what i'm trying to compile. At the very least could you break out more detail on yours if not also asking your dad to either give you detail to provide or post here himself? Thanks.

I have Pele (no, not the footballer). Not gonna sweat out all the details because you can Google that yourself, but she's the goddess of wind, fire, lightning, etc. with volcanoes on top. Basically she made Hawaii, cool stuff.

That's the only thing my dad told me about his mind-thing. Guess it could be Odysseus, but he's not the sole guy to ever get on a boat either.

I have one of the Hindu Dashavatar and my uncle has a Hebrew King. My starter was a different Dashavatar and his was a Greek Theater character. Like, there are certain thematic correspondences about wisdom and responsibility, but they're different pantheons and different roles within their narratives.
