(Green hair?)

He wasn't sure of that, but he thought he'd seen someone around the Reitaku grounds with 'stand-out' hair as Yoshie had described, though he attributed it to less stringent uniform policies than say 'Taiyou-High'; that didn't mean you wouldn't get in trouble though, but you weren't stopped at the gate at least. He appended a mental note to make sure and take further notice of this in the future, as Yoshie explained her gift. Sadly, it didn't really provide any insight for him, nor a means to make heads or tails of the jumble of sensory input he got every time he attempted to use his scanning ability, willingly. He sighed, looking a bit disheartened by this, and knowing he'd have to devote some time to figuring out his specifics, rather than get the information in a clean and orderly fashion as other users described it.

Ryou returned to talk about the witch-hunts, which seemed to put Yoshie on edge; he didn't blame her though, as potentially any sort of organized mob actively hunting down people like you, was a scary prospect to just about anyone. Still, to mobilize a sort of citizen's militia for something like THAT, seemed a bit excessive. Of course when one factored in how little the common person must know, and -generally speaking- how little the average user knows, -well- it made for a difficult situation. The ideal arrangement would be to work together to try and seek out the source of the shadows (which he'd now taken to calling, as standardization was made available to him), but as even on minor squabbles people tended to be pretty divisive, Ryou saw no agreeable end to this.

Listening to Yoshie was doing a number on him, as a sort of comfort seemingly seeped into him; he guessed that given that his previous experiences with other users had been so brief, and mainly built around surviving whatever was in the ruins at the time, that he hadn't actually gotten to know anyone. Not that he usually cared to, but now that his life was on the line he thought better. The thought occurred to him of how Ren might be dealing with his own bout of responsibilities, as they seemed to stack on-top of school and other life dues (strange thought considering his own self-centeredness). Yoshie then asked him about his 'conspicuous' powers, to which Ryou replied half-sighing : "The mask is like a Ganzfeld chamber, more or less isolating me from the outside, to better center myself and allow me to 'step out'; I've yet to find a way to trigger it without the comfort of the mask... though I recently disproved that by shaking hands with a user the other day -I tell you- what I felt was strong enough to send me reeling at the amount of feedback I got. Persona are just weird like that, they have all this baggage attached to them, and I can't -yet- discard the ravage from the useful bits." looking back defeated, he symbolically rested his head upon the table, as though awaiting execution, "Makes me envious of you types, that get your information in readable text."

Yoshie seemed to be paying attention to what Ryou was saying, perhaps taking mental notes of what he was saying, while also drinking from her mocha. "Hm... I haven't really tried shaking hands with another user... I wonder what that'd feel like for me."

She couldn't help giggling slightly as Ryou rested his head on the table. For a moment she considered putting her hand on his shoulder in a comforting motion... before realizing the sensory overload that might entail would be a big mistake. "Heeey, I bet you're gonna get the hang of it real quick, don't worry~" Still, she smiled. "I dunno... it's pretty convenient, yeah, I can't lie to you~!"

She finally picked up one of the beignets and took a bite out of it. "Oh my God, this is amazing." Speaking with her mouth still full wasn't terribly ladylike, but she couldn't help it - it was indeed delicious.

"Hm... well, do you want to keep talking or should we wait until you're out of your shift so we can actually summon our Personae and stuff?" She seemed invested in the idea of somehow helping Ryou with his Persona troubles, that much was for sure.

"Yes..." he added in response to her question of wanting to continue this conversation, granted the alcove was as about as private as it got in the lounge, but it wasn't exactly impenetrable, what it it being -basically- a hole in the all of a rather public place; in spite of all this cloak & dagger nonsense that needed to be kept up, this world of persona users was something that'd genuinely piqued his interest, and Yoshie was one of the rare people who seemed to be welcoming him into it at his pace, rather than pulling him in against his will... so he'd indulge her -for now-.

"...I think after-hours would work better for this.", he said while retrieving himself off the surface of the table; he gave Yoshie a brief once-over before slowly rounding the alcove booth's seat and plopped himself back on the floor of the lounge proper. He took a moment to consider what'd just transpired here, and dug into his apron to produce a cloth which used to wipe clean the table once more. He was still at work, after all and wouldn't do to dirty the tables himself. "I suppose you'd like to be called by something other than 'Luna', so I'll offer my name up for brevity's sake;" the cleaning cloth quickly vanished back into the recesses of the apron's front pocket, "It's Ryou, by the way." he added in an as-a-matter-of-factly sort of way.

He excused himself off the table and awaited his moment to make pretend that he'd been keeping up with work all this time, soon settling into the lull and drudgery of a slow day at work. Apart from Yoshie, there were only a handful more customers throughout the day, and at the near of closing time they'd already begun to close-out the counter, turn off the machines and pile-up the furniture for tomorrow's duties. Eventually, Ryou turned in his apron and slowly approached Yoshie if she were still in the coffee shop by closing time, politely reminding her in a most accommodating tone that they were closing for the night.

The front of the lounge was littered with the handful of employees still keeping with the Adyton as a place of employ, though lately it seemed to Ryou it was more a gathering spot for people to see one another that just so happened to get a paycheck while being there. Given how quiet it'd gotten, the staff was hoping that Golden Week would bring in something more towards the usual amount of customers before they got stuck in this rut, and soon each went about their separate ways. For his part, Ryou just hung around for until they'd all left, before approaching Yoshie; Not that he was uncomfortable with being seen leaving with a girl, but he instead had this notion that the less time users were seen together, the better for when these 'witch-hunters' started to seek each one of them out... it just made it less convenient for them if they didn't just find a huge clump of them to do.... whatever it is these groups did.

Ryou did away with these thoughts before suggesting they adjourned to a more private place, as Yoshie had suggested. He was drawing blanks as to the proper venue, and thought maybe the girl had a place in mind already. He entrusted her with his safety as they went off to this place, with Yoshie being able to expect that Ryou would conduct himself as professionally as one could in these circumstances. Outside of the ruins, he hadn't much called on Astaroth so this was an interesting proposition by Yoshie to say the least.

"Nice to meet you, Ryou-san~!" She grinned at him as she took another bite of her beignet.

She waved at the boy as he left, and she finished eating the beignets she was provided. As time passed she eventually pulled out a portable gaming console and ordered a second mocha.

Time passed some more, yet she remained. The second mocha got somewhat cold as she got more involved in her video game, but eventually she finished the beverage... and still she sat at that table.

When the cafe was empty and it had gotten late, she finally got up. It didn't take her long to see Ryou once again. "Well, let's go~!" As casually as she had approached him, she walked away with him in tow.

Maybe rumors would spread about Ryou having a cute girlfriend?
The girl kept walking and, after a while, they got outside of Nagashima. Maybe Ryou would recognize the path, but not too long after, they were at the entrance to the Ruins. "Tada~!"

It was all empty.

"Of course I don't really plan to go inside the Ruins, but at least here if someone sees us chances are that they're also Persona-users, so it's a bit safer." Her reasoning was sound... somewhat.

"Well, are you ready?"

Out of thin air, a funerary hat manifested in Yoshie's right hand and she put it on her head. Evidently, her mask wasn't much of a mask at all. She waited until Ryou summoned his Persona before trying to summon hers, however.

Not keen on the idea of being seen leaving with a girl (for exactly the same reasons one would presume), Ryou had to focus the entirety of his brainpower to not seem flustered throughout their little traipse through Nagashima... with varying degrees of success as his face contorted into various expressions of uncomfortableness. He seemed to get noticeably less awkward as the two rounded an alley and -finally- found themselves away from earshot of his coworkers; he'd nearly offered his arm to Yoshie too, but caught himself before doing anything especially overt. He sighed in relief as he came upon the familiar-feeling sights of the ruins (Wait -what?), as the prospect of encountering shadows seemed an altogether more comfortable prospect than owning up to the rumors of having a girlfriend.

He wondered if Yoshie was suggesting to go into the ruins themselves, and the thought of her idea of what a 'fun time' might constitute suddenly became a preoccupying notion in his mind... for what reason, he couldn't surmise. Thankfully, nothing of the sort was going on, and Yoshie seemed to instead produce her mask in the relative emptiness of the entrance to the Ruins. Leery of someone still spotting them, Ryou brought a closed fist up to meet his mouth, clearing his throat as if to punctuate the fact they might still be somewhat visible if left here. "Maybe we could chance a small step inside?" he asked, knowing full well there was a bit of danger to be considered in his proposition.

"He's just -uh- very big, and falls squarely in the field of things considered conspicuous." he was referring of course to Astaroth, the lug stood at an impressive 8 feet, and furthermore was RED, clashing with pretty much the entire surrounding area in Nagashima, and ensuring his appearance would serve as a sort of 'hail' for anyone around... or perhaps it was his own trepidation getting the better of him. Whatever the case, his restrained expression, denoted his being uncomfortable with bringing HIM out here.
