"I'll take you up on it." he flashed her back a smile as she offered to give a more comprehensive view of Nagashima than he'd been able to get on his own. Of course, the notion that there was something beneath Nagashima was because of the ruins, but if Sanae-san hadn't so much as acknowledged it, then either she had yet to awaken herself or knew better than to try and slip it into everyday conversation. This was some interesting food for thought, as he'd now have to consider protocol whenever he did decide to bring up the part of Nagashima that he wished he could forget. Putting it out of his attention for the time being, he instead focused on the prospect of looking over this city beyond the cursory knowledge he'd acquired over the little time he'd spent here. It was a difficult thing, this shifting of priorities, as for all his want to push the thoughts of monsters out of his mind, he couldn't help but be intrigued by it.

Speaking of priorities, he then recalled he really did have an essay back home to finish, and before he could groan at this realization he found himself shifting his position back to face Sanae. "-Ugh- I should probably get back to that essay however..." looking a bit dismayed, "I'll see you around sometime at Reitaku then..." he began towards his goodbyes before motioning towards Asuka and Hideky, giving a slight wave-off "It's been a pleasure -oh!- that reminds me..." he interrupted himself as he suddenly dug into his satchel bag, producing 3 vouchers bearing the Adyton's logo. "It's the place I work at, you can exchange it for a pastry or a slice of cake when you get some coffee at the shop; you guys should check it out when you have the chance." He closed up his pack before moving away from the group, towards the apartment complex on the other end of Ruwashi park. "I apologize I can't stay any longer, but I really need to get that started, it was nice meeting you all." he ended on a somewhat happy note as he took on his usual walk back home, leaving the 3 to their means.

Asuka couldn't help but chuckle in good humor as soon as Hideki mentioned the payment being in yen. 'Oh, you sweet, innocent child.'

"Information is a valuable thing, Tachibana." She opted to reply. "I'll do your sorry homework if you keep me updated on Branson's stupidity. Fair deal, eh?" Oh yes. She was one to hold a grudge, and she would never forget what Gwyn did to her in her first day of school, almost a full month before.

She would get her revenge.

Sanae's grin only widened as Ryou accepted her offer. She now needed to think up of a nice route to show the boy around! That would be really fun, she thought. It left her feeling somewhat giddy, looking forward to such an outing. The contentment glinted in her gaze. "Alright, I promise it will be fun!"

She seemed a bit surprised when receiving the coupon, inspecting them slowly. She wasn't a big fan of coffee or spending money, but it just seemed courteous to go to that shop after that offer. Perhaps in the next afternoon she had free. "Thank you very much, Arakawa-san. I'll go when I can."

Asuka, however, was a big fan of coffee. "Count me in." It was her response as she received the little item, pocketing it immediately. She gave him a lone wave of goodbye as he left, while Sanae was a little bit more enthusiastic in that department.

"It was nice to meet you too, Arakawa-san!" She called out as the boy walked away. And, with that, she jogged lightly to join Hideki and Asuka under the tree.

Hideki, of course, remained pouty and confused when Asuka chuckled at his question, not knowing what was so funny. What did she have in mind? This was a question she'd soon answer, by telling him he'd need to keep tabs on Gwyn if he wanted her help. "Wait, you want me to be a snitch?" He asked, his face turning to a more incredulous expression. "Well, uh, I don't exactly hang a lot with Gwyn-san to be a source of such thing. Remember how she was in that weird getup when we met? I have no idea what caused her to dress like that." Gwyn was his friend, or at least, they were friendly with each other, but he didn't run into her quite often, which is one reason he was so surprised at her change in appearence.

But even then, he wasn't too comfortable with being Asuka's personal information broker about weird girls.

Before he could give her a proper reply however, Ryou gave them a vouche for a coffee shop. A free pastry? That sounded pretty delicious! "Oh, thanks Ryou-san! I'll hold on to it." He said, putting the vouche safe in his backpack. And with that, the boy left, leaving Hideki alone with Asuka and the recently joined Sanae, which was definitely a plus, considering she seemed like the nicer girl.

Not to mention, the cuter one.

As Hideki did a small cough noise to shake the thought away, he turned his attention back at Asuka. "Like I was saying, I don't think I'm the best person to be given the job. And even then, isn't that a bit... Intrusive?"

"A snitch? What a horrible way to put it, my friend." Asuka forcefully slapped the back of Hideki's shoulder in an 'amicable' way, letting her hand rest there. "The correct term would be 'information broker'. And remember, I'm paying you~" She found it rather sad how easy it was to wrap people around her fingers, having them do her bidding.

She was accurate in thinking Hideki was just a pushover and an ass-kisser when they met, wasn't she?

"I don't care how she's dressing, she could run around naked for all I care. I want to know what she's doing." The scheming first year specified. "The more humiliating, the better. If she thinks she can get the upper hand on me, she's very wrong." It was also great that she had access to the school newspaper! Blackmailing was a hell of a drug.

Sanae caught up to the pair, and sat beside them. "Ah, I'm sorry for taking so long." Sanae apologized as she made herself comfortable under the tree. Asuka just waved her off and shook her head.

"Don't worry about it, you're fine."

As soon as she placed a hand on his shoulder, Hideki flinched just a bit. The way she was trying to goad him into doing her bidding was making him a bit uncomfortable, plus it felt a bit insulting. Since when was he someone's henchman? Granted, he did decide to humor Gwyn's weird honorific quirk, but only because she saved him from certain death, but that didn't mean he was some lackey.

"You don't have to get this fixated in her, you know? It's kinda creepy." He said, displaying discomfort in both his voice and face. Sure, the reward itself was tempting, given how he wasn't good with history, or homework in general, but was he really going to sell off his integrity just so that Asuka can get back to some girl at least 2 years younger than her?

And then Sanae came around, thankfully she will get him out of this pickle. "Ah, no worries Sanae-san." He said, acknowledging her apology with a handwave.

Hideki's statement actually caught Asuka's full attention. It was like she had been stabbed with a needle, such was the jerk movement her head made to look at him proper. Her eyebrow was raised in pure annoyace.

"Excuse me? I'm creepy? Are you sure the creepy one isn't the thirteen year old girl whose ass you've been kissing all this time? The one who has such a major stick up her ass that she has to control every other student's lives? Now that is creepy to me. You got your priorities switched there, mate."

"U-Um..."

Had Sanae walked up to them at a bad time? She felt out of place, and didn't have a clue of what or whom they were talking about. The sudden hostility emanating from Asuka at Hideki's comment was a bit jarring, too. "Am I interrupting anything...?"

"Nah, not really. Tachibana here only needs to learn some manners first."

"I don't think calling him out is all too polite either..."

Hideki blinked at her confused when her face changed to one of more annoyance. What was up with that? Was it something he said? Apparently it was, as she began defending herself over how his judgement was misplaced, and how the one that deserves to be called creepy is Gwyn. "Well, uh, Gwyn-san is just pretty weird, yeah, but it still doesn't change the fact that it's you who wants to stalk her through me." He said, his brow furrowed a bit. Just because she was talking about a girl that was a bit out there didn't cancel out that Asuka herself was also rather out there.

And when Sanae was trying to figure out what was happening, Hideki was about to answer her, only for Asuka to beat him to the punch. "Hey!" He let out, doing a pout at Asuka. How can she talk like that and accuse him of needing to learn some manners? It was so rude.

"I'm not stalking her." Asuka argued in return, despite the evidence stacked against her. "I'm enacting my revenge! That stuck up little bitch needs to learn a goddamn lesson already." And Hideki would help her, of course! "Unless you wanna keep kissing her ass. You know, that's all you seemed to do back then."

"Language..." Sanae interrupted, though that only earned an eye roll from her friend. The Reitaku student sighed and tried to mediate the situation somewhat. "I apologize for my friend, Tachibana-san--"

"Bite me."

"--, and I don't think this situation is helping either of you. Harada-san, you should try to get along with people more. Tachibana-san, I don't know the circumstances of this conversation, but I don't think provoking Harada-san will do you any good..."

The way Asuka described Gwyn was definitely not to Hideki's liking. She was... well, Gwyn was kind of stuck up, sure, but Hideki was very aware that Gwyn wasn't exactly like Asuka was picturing her to be. He has seen her at a moment of weakness more than once, not to mention the fact that she helped him during his awakening. He was a bit disappointed that Asuka was probably not a User, and thus cannot explain why he succumbed to looking like some sort of lackey, but he knew well that he wasn't a lackey, and thus wasn't going to just sell her out.

Plus her rebuttal was rather weaksauce.

"Hey, I wasn't kissing her ass! We were just trying to get you back in class, since you were skipping it." He replied, his pout turning into a frown. However, before she could continue, Sanae interrupted them, apologizing for Asuka over her actions, while at the same time warning Hideki that winding up Asuka was not good at all. "But she wants me to tell her stuff about someone." He said, crossing his arms while looking like some kid punished into a corner. "I'm not some lackey, I'm Gwyn's friend. I can't do something like that."

It always stuck out like a sore thumb when people defended others regardless of what they do; and when they antagonized someone, that person represented everything bad in the world and thus they should be punished. That was how Asuka was perceiving Hideki at the moment. Gwyn was his friend thus should be allowed to do anything, even if it stepped all over Asuka.

'Fuck that.'

"It ain't any of your business what I do with my time. Last I checked she's not even in the Student Council, she has no authority. If she had a problem, she could very well call staff instead of getting in my face. Besides, by definition, what I was doing didn't affect her in the least. Sounds like someone has such an empty life that they need to get into other people's businesses to feel minimally good about themselves."

"That's enough, both of you!"

It was a quick change from the happy go lucky demeanor to the visibly upset expression that now graced Sanae's features. "This isn't going anywhere! You two keep provoking each other to see who gets the last word? That doesn't matter." The Reitaku student shook her head. "Asuka-san, whatever it is you're doing with this girl, you should stop it. Tachibana-san, just avoid bringing up the subject altogether." She was entirely unaware of the failed deal that nearly took place, but she figured something sparked the argument.

"Tch..."
