"It's okay, don't worry..." It was kind of true, after all, sometimes he manages to hurt by himself, but Asuka definitely did not need to know that, specially given how there are other people around him. Still feeling a vague sensation of pain and pressure, he heard how Ryou and Asuka believed that there was no fish that caught the line, a deduction he agreed on with a mere nod.

"Actually, I didn't come here to fish, I'm just here to do some homework outside." He said, shuffling his backpack a bit to signal such intent. Of course, he frowned a bit as Asuka said that it was useless to care about clubs, a notion he declined. And apparently Sanae agreed as well. "Well, there are people that are dedicated to their club, it doesn't necessarily mean they are wasting their time." He may a bit biased over being part of the Drama Club and taking it very seriously, but he still wanted Asuka to not have such a negative view about them.

Even if he knew she may ignore him. Or talk about how useless it was regardless, that wouldn't surprise him.

Ryou felt a tug within him that gently anchored his person to the people he was currently engaged with, as a sort of suggestion implied that he may in fact enjoy the company of these strangers. Relinquishing his flight instinct, he found himself scanning the trio as they engaged each other in conversation; as far as he knew, he was but a mayfly hovering over their heads, and he was perfectly content with that at the time. Still, something built up inside him, inciting him to say something...

When clubs were mentioned, this prompted Ryou to reflect on his current situation... as working at the cafe didn't exactly leave enough time for after-school activities. Rather than lament the fact however, he shrugged ('cest la vie), remarking that his situation would not allow, or rather that worrying about it could produce nothing except grief and so he tried not to think on it much. Still, clubs may have proven interesting, at least for a little while... until he tired of his company.

"I suppose that if one can company, it'd be nice to have someone that shares your interests." his response seemed to surprise him, doing double take as he analyzed the words that'd come out of his mouth. Thankfully this light reverie was interrupted by talk of homework. "Ugh, don't even remind me, I still have an essay to bash out for Literature..." (There that's a bit more like us...).

"I guess I'll go to Ruwashi Park next time. That's where everyone goes... Though it's hard to concentrate..." Given her recently diagnosed ADHD, Sanae was very easily distracted. She just knew that fishing in a place as populated as the park was would be almost impossible for her.

Asuka had already figured out there was something wrong with her from observation alone, but decided to be tactful for a change and didn't voice her thoughts. Instead she spun the subject away from her. "Homework outside? Why, are you hoping a bird will shit on the paper so you don't have to hand it in? New version of 'dog ate my homework' I guess."

"Asuka-san!" Despite berating her friend, Sanae couldn't help but secretly finding the quip humorous. Poor Hideki, though. He was free to do the homework wherever he wanted. "What year are you, um...?" That was when the girl realized no one had introduced themselves yet. Her eyes widened slightly with the realization, and she laughed nervously. "Ah, I don't think I quite caught your name! I'm Sanae Miyamoto, nice to meet you." She introduced herself to the two boys.

"Oh, yeah. That." Asuka sighed aloud before resigning to her apparent social fate, offering a lone two finger wave to Ryou. "Asuka Harada. Cheers."

"Have you thought of fishing at the port? Maybe you can go there at a time when no one is around." He mentioned as Sanae wondered about other locations to practice her fishing. Just as long as she doesn't accidently have her hook grab a freaking anchor. But then Asuka mentioned the unfortunate consequence of doing homework outside. "Uh, actually, I was thinking doing it next to that tree." With that said, he pointed on a tree nearby. "I think it'd shelter me from, that."

But then Ryou lamented something about a Literature homework he himself had. "Oh man, I wish I had that. Instead, I have History homework, it's pretty complicated." 'But what about the help he got last year?' Well, second year increased the difficulty, hence why he couldn't just rely on a trick he learned the previous year. However, Sanae asked something about years, which lead to the two girls presented themselves. "Oh yeah, I'm Hideki, Tachibana. I'm at year 2 in Taiyoutono."

"Arakawa, Ryou." he replied in an almost practiced manner, the fact he nearly always had to preface any school-related introductions with it had almost everything to do with it. He followed his curt introduction with a meek nod of the head, "Pleased to meet your acquaintance." his follow-up springing from a place of more sincerity as he returned himself to his usual stance. "I'm a second year at Reitaku." he felt pressured to add, as Hideki had done in his own intro.

He felt that anchoring sensation slowly subsume in light of his present company, but couldn't help shake the feeling that something yet held him there. He'd have gone into why, if his attention hadn't otherwise been engaged... (History, huh?), he mused as though pondering the recent subjects covered in school, "History's been treating me right -thankfully-, which is more than I can say for calculus.", the aside had come from nowhere, as nothing in the conversation had prompted him to add that little factoid of his.

In the end, he was merely distracting himself from the pile of things that needed doing as soon as he got home, and the essay was something he didn't need at the time. He'd nearly forgotten about it with that early leave he'd taken today. I dunno, night-fishing may work better but I wouldn't go at it alone. He wasn't sure if anyone else had had the rude awakening he was subject to a week prior, but he didn't wish it on anyone.

Sanae shook her head at Hideki's suggestion. "It's not up to me, you see? It's the club's regular meeting location. I can't just alter it as a new member... This is already a place I shouldn't be in." Or so she thought. Sanae found it rude to even request it - she felt out of place suggesting the river bank immediately after signing up after being informed of the usual ongoings, let alone after everything settled...

"You gonna sit down? Wait for me then." Asuka held up a hand for a moment while turning away as if trying to reinforce what she said, before jogging over to the remaining fishing material - namely a bag, and a bucket. She picked those up so to help her friend before returning to Hideki, waiting for him to go towards the tree. "Before ya mention it, welcome." She told Sanae with a nod, whom responded with an appreciative smile.

"History homework is complicated? Good god, you are a pushover." She commented. That sort of thing - most subjects, really - came really natural to her. Despite being aware of her usually superior capacity of learning such things, it was very hard for her to picture someone having difficulty. And thus she came out as an ass often, but at least it was well meaning.

As Asuka followed Hideki, Sanae let the grabbing end of the fishing rod rest against the dirt. "Arakawa-san, I haven't seen you before in Reitaku." She confessed, wanting to strike up a conversation with her apparent colleague. "Have you been in school for the past year, or are you a transfer? Out of curiosity."

"Ah, I see... Although, I meant just, fishing elsewhere to train. That is, assuming you are training right now." His voice became a bit stilted, as he wasn't completely certain of what was Sanae's goal. Maybe she just wanted some fish to cook, and they just intruded her?

Once that was said however, Asuka spoke up something about sitting down, and as he turned, he saw that she went to set up all the fishing equipment at the base of the tree he was planning to sit down next to. All the while, he stared at her with an incredulous look on his face. Did she just steal his idea? Possibly. "... Huh?" He said, before she turned to him again to tell him how much he sucks at history.

"H-Hey! History isn't just my best suit unlike you and Ryou-san." He said, pouting as he looked elsewhere, feeling a bit awkward about his difficulty to grasp dates and events. Then again, a lot of things aren't his best suit school-wise. It is a wonder he was accepted in Taiyoutono.

But in any case, he went ahead and walked towards the tree, with Asuka seemingly on toe. "Well, could you at least give me a hand if it's easy for you?" He did feel a bit bad for practically demanding that to her, the words just sort of came out of his mouth due to the slight frustruation of her practically making fun of him.

"I'm a recent transfer..." he replied absentmindedly, his gaze darting away from Sanae for a moment as he looked back to the spot where her line had been cast. ( Maybe the line caught onto something?), he pondered for a moment before he found Sanae had in fact continued to speak to him and now an answer was expected of Ryou, he made it a point to make eye-contact with Sanae as he elaborated a bit about his situation "I -uh- don't blame you for not seeing me much at school; as pretty much when the bell rings, I've just enough time to get to my part-time job." he expressed this without condemning his situation, just as a sort of 'matter of fact' about his life, to put it bluntly: It was, what it was. He didn't mind the job at all, really; but he did feel he was missing out on some of the things that seemed 'typical' of most High School students, a prospect which he'd slowly become less and less enthused with as time passed.

"I'm in 2-B, though I spend more time in the library than in the classroom if I can help it." there he went with that charm of his, but then he wasn't about to change the entirety of his person based on that one experience. He let his gaze move elsewhere from the conversation, and to the Nagashima skyline that crept up from the concrete walls on either side of the channel, "This place is a bit strange, isn't it?" he said to no one in particular, "It looks like a regular city on the surface, but I can't help thinking that there's something more beneath it." he added, snapping back to reality; "But maybe that's because this is all new to me still, I'm hoping it'll go away as I settle in."

"What about you, Sanae-san?"

"What?" Asuka couldn't help but laugh at Hideki's request. "How hard the mighty have fallen, I'm a first year dude. You're literally asking for help from a first year. C'mon, don't be that guy." Of course, standard knowledge aside, Asuka was well versed in Hideki's subject - she looked up that sort of stuff for fun on the regular, having retained a great amount of information over the years.

"If you want me to help ya out, you'll have to make it worth my while, Tachibana." She decided to give him something to work with as they finally reached the tree. She set down the equipment on the cool grass before she sat directly under the shade, leaning back against the wooden trunk. "If you do something well, don't do it for free etcetera."

Unlike Asuka, however, Sanae didn't seem to be too bothered to talk to Ryou like she was with Hideki; in fact, she seemed positively thrilled to know another colleague. "Ah, I see. We're in different floors... That certainly gets in the way. I'm a first year." She smiled warmly nevertheless. The coloring of her uniform indicated such a thing, but it didn't hurt to mention it again.

"..." For a moment she was taken aback over Ryou's comment about there being something beneath Nagashima. She knew full well what there was - was he testing her to see if she knew about it? Or did he slip up? "In any case, I'll be happy to show you around, Arakawa-san. Maybe that can help." She recovered gracefully, her smile not wavering.

Don't trip over this subject, child. The price to pay may be too heavy.

"I've always lived here, so if you want to find any specific location, I'm the one you should ask!"

Oh. Right. It took a small moment for Hideki to realize that, despite her being boastful by insulting him, she was indeed a first year student. For a moment he couldn't believe how he was distracted from the fact that he was supposed to be a year older than her, a fact that was very visible in his face, as he looked like he forgot his unprotected cellphone back at school.

He was about to clarify that his words came from said boasting, or that he didn't understand what she meant with 'that guy', but all he'd do would boil down to opening his mouth, and closing it to avoid any conflicts, followed by a displeased grumble.

Small moments like that made him wish for Gwyn's return.

But then, Asuka spoke up about wanting to be repaid for her actions. Her cynical and lucrative way of working things out would definitely make a businessman smile, but it didn't win any bonus points in Hideki's book. That why he'd be a terrible businessman. For a moment he considered not asking for her help, and probably ignoring her for the rest of his stay, but despite being mean about her skills by berating him, she was the class rep, which meant she knew what she was talking about, right?

Besides, history being hard never stopped being a thing.

"... Er, should I ask about what you have in mind? Or just fork in some yens?" He asked, hesitation being clear in his voice. Hopefully she won't poke fun at being some personal teacher.
