Akeno laughed at Hideki's question in good humor. "Replaced? You talk like I'm swimming in money." She didn't seem at all offended, however the question piqued Toki's interest. Anything to take his mind off that one bitch after all.

"What does he mean, incident?"

"Ruins trip. Everybody got charmed. He accidentally set me on fire." She shrugged. "By the way, didn't you run into some Charm-related problems in the R--"

"--We don't talk about that." Said Toki with brightly reddened cheeks.

"Boo."

"Hehe, I guess not. Then again, the seasons are getting warmer." He said, doing a small chuckled accompanied by one of Akeno's. At least it seemed that she wasn't reprimended for losing it, which was definitely good to hear. But then Toki asked for details, and she delivered.

Hideki's smile turned into a wavy one, as he remembered what happened after that trip. He remembered passing out for a moment, and wake up with Bart trying to carry both him and her out of the Ruins, while her jacket was charred. For a while, he believed that it was the fault of some fire Shadow that passed by, but only a few days after that event, he had a nightmare. One which revealed to him that he was responsible for the burning. Given how Akeno appeared non-chalant about it, it seemed that she had no beef with him.

It didn't stop him from blaming himself however.

But then Akeno alluded to something that happened in the Ruins with Toki. "Wait, 'charm'? What's up with that?" Did Toki get charmed and performed something embarassing?

Akeno noticed the shift in Hideki's mood. It bothered her somewhat, so she harmlessly flicked his nose with a finger. "Hey, hey. Accidents happen. It's the nature of that place like I told you, don't beat yourself up over it." To be fair, there was no way they could have guessed such strong enemies were to appear on the first floor; plus she was way stronger at that point than she had been during that trip. Maybe they should go again sometime!

"No. No charm. Nothin' happened." Toki let go of his beer, crossing his arms. Akeno didn't like his behavior one bit so she leaned back on her chair and kicked him on the foot, under the table. "OW!"

"Don't be such a party pooper." She goaded him and he took the bait. After a glare the man took a deep breath, his face flushing somewhat, and he told the great Charm tale of his awakening.

"Uh... Back in my first day... Quite literally, I awakened in my fucking boxer shorts. Then they caught on fire. And that Yoshimatsu guy took pict--anyway, we ran into these sheep like Shadows and they charmed me. Long story short, I nearly kicked Aleph's head off while not really wearin' much at all."

Akeno snorted, covering her mouth with her hand. "Hahahaha, nothing of value would be lost." And then she burst out laughing. From what she had read on Bedlam, that fucker was the single most incompetent being on the face of the Earth!

"... Ngh!"

The flickering was unexpected, and Hideki responded with quickly putting his hands on this nose, a slight blush in his cheeks while looking at Akeno with an incredulous look, one that said 'what was that for?'. Admitelly, he shouldn't hold it against her, it's just that it was something that caught him off guard, after all, last person who flicked his nose was Ma-

No, not now. Not in front of them. Deal with it later.

Halting his thoughts just now caused him to completely miss whatever Akeno said. But given her tone, and how she brought up the incident a moment ago, he thought that she probably said something among the lines of 'think nothing of it'. When she finished, he merely nodded and placed his hand back to his cup, taking another sip.

But then Toki made a mention of the charm again, and after a loud yelp of apparent pain and some persuasion by Akeno, Toki decided to recall his tale, with Hideki looking at him confused.

"Wait, really??" The 'really' was mostly about him having to walk around in the Ruins with only his boxers. He was aware that sometimes some Users got the short end of the stick in terms of attire when they awake for the first time just like what happened with Noriko Don't think about that.

Oh, and Aleph got kicked. That was bad too, poor dude.

"Wait... Burned boxers? Does that mean...?" He started, and then pulled his phone to rapidly to go Bedlam. Searching through the threads, he found one and clicked the link to one specific post. "You had to get out without them??" His tone and face expressions denoted complete surprise, as Hideki could not believe how shitty Toki's luck is.

As Hideki made the conclusion Toki was wholly embarrassed about, his face turned into a deep scarlet and he looked away. "J-Just forget about it. Way too fuckin' long ago, I don't wanna think about that anymore." He crossed his arms as his mood soured further. It wasn't bad enough over his ex-girlfriend as it was, right?

"Hey, hey! Toki, you got nothing to be embarrased about." Akeno smirked in quite the teasing manner. "Trust me, Hideki. He called me after to bring over some clothes. I was not disappointed." With that line, it was her turn to get kicked in the foot. "O-Ow! Hahaha, okay, okay. I'll drop it." She then pat the older man in the shoulder. "My bad, couldn't resist."

"...Yeah, yeah..." Toki sighed silently. What a mess...

His answer was a blink in surprise, as Toki was feeling pretty embarassed about the event. Once Akeno stepped in to further embarass him about the clothing thing, Hideki quickly covered his mouth. To suppress a chuckle.

But despite his best effort, a smile was seen out of the corner of his hand, over the sound of stifled giggles. He was glad something like this hasn't happened to him, as he'd probably immolate himself alive out of embaras-"Oh wait..."

"Wow... Damn, sorry to hear that. That must have sucked." It was all he could muster once his giggling fit was over.

"Yeah, laugh it off... Dicks..." Toki grumbled under his breath. Akeno squeezed his shoulder lightly in a friendly manner, attempting to get his attention.

"Oh, come on, don't be like that. You know we're not trying to make you feel bad, we're just chilling." The girl said, actually meaning it. "Cheer up. It's a good story to tell. I'm jealous, I don't think my 'being set on fire' story is half as good as your burnt boxers one."

"I'm... I'm never gonna live this down, am I?" The man asked, scratching his cheek. Akeno shook her head with a bright grin on her face.

"Nope, not a chance!"

To try to cover up his giggle, Hideki took another sip from his cup. "Hey, no worries, silly things like that tend to happen every now and then." He said, before realizing that Toki might not just accept an answer like that. Hideki would have to prove his point.

"Okay, just to make it even... I guess I can mention something really embarassing that happened to me." He said, his eyes shifting from one direction to the next, making sure no one else he knew was around. "So... Some time ago, I was walking the Ruins, when suddenly, I entered a room and found a woman lying on the floor. She was wearing a nightgown and was very confused over what was happening, not to mention, very grumpy. As I tried to help her get out, we were attacked by Shadows. One attacked me, and the force of the attack pushed me towards her and..."

And then, he stopped, his face feeling warm and his face showing signs of embarassement. He couldn't believe he was retelling this to someone else.

"Hah, speak for yourself. I don't have any interesting Ruins tales save for human torch." Akeno joked, and then realized how she worded it. "Actually... That sounds kinda cool... Hm..."

"Yo, you don't have to." Said Toki, but Hideki went on anyway. He found that his eyes eyes were widening steadily as the boy kept telling his tale. "W-Wait, wait, wait... You fell onto her--"

"--Boobs? Hah, you kids get more action than me these days."

I think that's difficult, sweetheart~

"Eh, that's fine. Not your fault, y'know." Toki tried to cut down the embarrassment Hideki was feeling. "Coulda been worse. At least she was wearing something."

Once Akeno completed Toki's words, Hideki's face went full red, knowing exactly what happened during that expedition. "H-Hey! It was still pretty embarassing at it was!" He stammered in reply, a pout visible in his face. He tried to think of something else that was embarassing, but he wasn't able to think of something. All he could remember was the time Ryouta's shirt was destroyed during his awakening, or when he found Sandra and Aiko too close during the former's awakening, but nothing that could top running around naked.

"It doesn't help that later on we were helped by some... Lady cosplaying as a maid. Like, an actual meido. Or was that her profession? I can't recall, she was pretty quiet anyway."
