Name: Sanae Miyamoto Gender: Female Age: 15 Class: 1-B (Reitaku High School) Clubs/Occupation: Cooking Club, Fishing Club Personality: Sanae is a sweet girl with an uneventful past with the very simple and naive desire of making people happy. She is very kindhearted, and one could easily say this is to an extreme. It’s rare to catch her without a smile upon her lips, or without a word of good cheer to share with anyone whom may cross her path. Due to these traits it’s easy to befriend her, and she has become quite the social butterfly throughout the course of her childhood. She has never been bullied because someone would always come to her defense; she has never been hurt because the threat would be taken down. She never experienced pain to its fullest extent, but is able to sympathize with those who do. Since she’s very inexperienced in life, she has a positive outlook in things, thinking there’s something good in everyone and is always willing to give them a second chance. Having an undiagnosed form of ADHD, it is very difficult for her to maintain her attention in class as well as do well academically in general. She misunderstands this by classifying herself as unintelligent, which brings her slight grief - she thinks every romantic approach is based on her appearance alone, thus sheltering herself from it pre-emptively. As a side effect of ADHD - perhaps a good one - she is able to hyperfocus on things that she truly loves such as cooking, music, etc. She has a special passion for the former which she has picked up on ever since taking on house duties, loving to mix and test new flavors for her own amusement (and possible others’ chagrin). She’s proven to be quite talented and adaptable in such endeavors. Sanae is extremely naive, making her a prime target for manipulation and influence. She doesn’t think people will take advantage of her as she has a kind heart and has no intention but to make things easier for others, thus making herself out to be the best person to carry out ill will in their place. She is naturally attuned to emotional intelligence. This is spotted via her ability to empathize with others despite having not gone through situations which they have experienced. She actively attempts to learn from these situations as her life has been too mundane to provide her with knowledge itself. Despite her initial difficulty in learning various things, she displays grit and doesn’t give up until she’s at least competent in such actions. This makes her adaptable, as seen when she had to pick up the slack around the house - she never once complained about the workload, taking on it seamlessly despite the heavy load. Over time she’s grown to be a very good cook, and as the chores stabilized in quantity she still willingly helps around the house and with budgeting. History: Sanae Miyamoto was born in Nagashima to a wealthy family. Her mother is a housewife, and her father a businessman. She has always been very attached to her family and had the luck of having such passion be reciprocated. Her childhood was not problematic at all past the occasional argument she’d overhear between her parents, but it was never anything too serious. Sanae soon found she had the distinct ease to get along with people, putting it to practice. She lived her social life to such an extent that it was what was blamed once her grades started to drop over time. Despite this, Sanae found it difficult to leave something she loved to do behind. As the years went by, her father’s business took a gradual dive. She was 14 when his job really hit the rocks and he was eventually fired due to mass cuts. Their luxurious lifestyle was soon eliminated. He found a small time job and her mother managed to find one as well, and to their surprise Sanae took this change quite well. She picked up the slack around the house and never complained about them lacking monetary resources. Her grades didn’t seem to improve despite the slight dive in her social life adventures. No matter; she was about to start from scratch in a new school. Her friends went en masse to Taiyoutono, while she had to go to Reitaku both due to her grades and economical condition. She’d start from zero, and was looking forward to it. Appearance: Sanae has narrow green eyes and black hair worn straight (most commonly). She makes a point to change her hairstyle and color every now and then due to being fashion conscious, though less so ever since her family fell on hard times. She stands at around the average for a Japanese girl, 5’3’’. She has a slender build and compact muscles, keeping in shape with jogging and working out at home. Her beauty has been known to turn many heads on a whim, and she resents it. It’s certainly part of what has made her popular to begin with. She is commonly seen in her high school uniform, even out of class - she had to sell a good portion of her clothes, only having kept a handful of skirts, shirts and dresses which are to be worn on special occasions. This uniform is slightly modified as she wears a pink cardigan rather than the regular jacket. Weapon: None yet obtained, no combat experience. Mask: An eye mask with slits open where her eyes are so she can look through. It’s made of white buckskin. Persona: ![]() Credit: Legends of America Ptesanwi is a sacred woman of supernatural origin, central to the Lakota religion as the primary cultural prophet. It was another day, but not any day, oh no. It was her first day of school in Reitaku. She had been barely accepted into the student body, set to take on the first year. Hopefully not by the skin of her teeth like every other year… That was always a bummer. No matter how hard she tried, she always fell short of the ideal in terms of grades out of mistakes she deemed quite silly and unbecoming of someone as hard-working as she was. But no matter, she’d keep trying. Practice makes perfect after all. She was full of energy that morning, resembling an Energizer Bunny. It only took the first sufficiently powerful rays of sunshine to hit her square in the face through the semi-closed blinds of her bedroom’s window for Sanae to be up and about, not even needing her alarm clock to wake up. Unfortunately she rose up too fast as was her habit and dizziness struck her as surely as the sky being blue. “Ngh... “ The girl closed her green eyes reflexively, staying still in her sitting position mostly if not for the hand she rose to her forehead. With the slight vertigo came a slight headache. After a few seconds she managed to shake it off, rising to her feet and stretching her limbs to get the blood flowing. After her bed was made - she couldn’t leave with a single thing out of place after all - Sanae spent a fairly lengthy amount of time in the bathroom. Not out of nervousness or laziness; rather, she needed to look her absolute best. She took a shower and took care of her hair, styling it as soon as she got out. She put on her uniform and took care of the light makeup for the day. Eventually she skipped out of the bathroom and onto the kitchen before her parents woke up. Of course, she had always been the first to wake up in that house. Well, the first since their recent financial predicament. Since her mother didn’t have the luxury to have time to take care of the house anymore, Sanae had picked up the slack - and that meant cooking as well. She didn’t mind it, actually. Sanae had taken a genuinely liking to cooking and cleaning as time went by, even proving to be quite good at it. She even went the extra length so to prepare a proper breakfast for them every morning, and that took quite some time. Enough time for them to wake up and shower, apparently. “You forgot the orange juice.” A voice reached her ears and a slight smack was felt on her head. It was harmless as it was provenient from a newspaper her father was holding. As she turned to look at him she saw a goofy grin, and couldn’t help but grow one of her own. “I did? I’m sorry Father, I’ll handle it right away.” She knew he was joking in his scolding, but he was right - she had forgotten. It was the bane of her existence, forgetting such little things so to ruin otherwise perfect works of art. She did take care of it as soon as she finished up, and served the food in the living room where both her parents were waiting. She sat with them as they consumed their breakfast. The television was on, broadcasting the morning news. To be honest, Sanae didn’t much care for those herself for no reason in particular. Instead she focused on her parents, immediately noticing they were sharing looks throughout the meal as if having a mental conversation. Were they planning something? She could tell it had something to do with herself. Why else would they keep silent? The gazes betrayed apprehension. Perhaps she messed up the food? No, that couldn’t be it, they were appreciating it just as much as usual. Did it have anything to do with money? Of course, her second guess wound up being the correct one. It usually was the reason of everything happening in that house as of late. But that time it wasn’t in a negative way, much to her surprise. “Honey? Come here.” She overheard her father once she was done cleaning the dishes and heading towards her bedroom. She stopped by the door and turned around with a questioning look before obeying. “Please, take this with you.” Towards her was extended a ¥1000 note. Sanae’s eyes widened slightly and she reached for the money reflexively, but once her fingers touched it she realized what she was doing and pushed it back towards her father’s chest. “D-Dad, you know I--” “Stop right there.” She was cut off rather abruptly. “I know what you’re going to say, but for once let us pamper you. Please. It’s eating us up that you’re taking on all of the slack around here, at least let us reward you with this.” She briefly opened her mouth to retort but quickly closed it. There was no point in arguing, was there? She sighed out in defeat and couldn’t help but smile a little with her parents’ kindness despite their difficulties. It pained her greatly to be a money sink for them at that age, but on the other hand she was proud of being someone they willingly wanted to support. “...Thank you, Father.” She let go of the note so to hug him tightly for a few seconds, kissing his cheek before letting go and retrieving the money. She probably wouldn’t spend it right away, or if at all, but at least she had some backup cash if push came to shove. After thanking her mother as well and gathering her things she was out the door. The only thing in her mind then was the people she was about to meet. She was aware one of her friends was going to Reitaku as well, with everyone else having successfully entered Taiyoutono and other prestigious high schools. It made her sad that she would rarely get to see them anymore, but on the other hand she would get to meet new people in this school. That reminded her. She had never taken a bus to school before, every other school being within walking distance or her father driving her there when they still had a car. So she was about to take a bus for the first time. “...Where was the bus stop again…?” Have you read all the stickies? (NOT AN OPTIONAL SECTION) But of course.
