Yes… I’d sell the souls of all humanity to the devil if I thought it’d get us a happy ending.
Aiko nodded along with Ryouta's own sibling answer. "I'm kinda in the same boat too, but a little in the uh... opposite direction? I'm due to be an older sister in a while, so I guess I won't get to enjoy the free labor for quite a while, huh?" she said with a smile. There was also the fact that she would have to get used to y'know, having a sibling and everything too. That was a world-changer she... wasn't sure how she was going to handle if she had to be honest. Though I guess there's not any use worryin' about it? Not like I can un-pregnant my mom...Oh god that was a thought I didn't want to have

Aiko shivered a bit as she desperately tried to shake an unpleasant train of thought from her mind. The need to jump back in to the present conversation was very, very important now. "Yeah you uh, probably needed all that rest with the haul you had. Did your sister just get paid or something recently? Maybe a promotion? I mean I hope I'm not seeming nosy or something but... Well this looks like something I'd do after I won a lottery. Just replace the clothes store with a convention or a horror shop online." No reason for her to carry all those things home, let the mail take them right to her door~

That was a fantasy that was a bit far off for her though. That was unless the gems in her pocket were really that valuable... Oh right, Ryuunosuke asked what she was doing! "I'm actually headed for a jeweler's! I recently uh, came across some gemstones when we were cleaning out my... grandmother's house, yeah! They weren't set into anything so my family decided if we could maybe sell them or turn them into something. 'Course, I've never been to one before so the plan was pretty much 'wander around until I bump into one' for the time being."

At least half of that statement was true!

"W-well, there isn't an awful lot of rest to be had if she still forces you to carry all those bags, I feel..." Ryouta scratched the back of his head a bit, his words tinged with disbelief ever so slightly.

It seemed to be that Aiko had some stuff to say too, and the things she said didn't make him fill with disbelief, which was good. In fact, they were good things! "Ah, you're going to have a little brother? Or sister or, well, ...human? Congratulations!" He genuinely felt happy for her... which was a bit weird considering the fact that he'd only met her once, and their meeting had involved him being intensely ashamed because of how his moustache had been soaked in milk.

That wasn't all she said, however. "Oh, you like horror that much? I... have to say you're manlier than me. I seriously can't stomach a horror movie..." The man scratched the back of his head. It was clearly a joke - there was no way an average Japanese girl was manlies than a hulking and handsome (albeit really nice, polite and shy) mass of muscle, but it was still a rather amusing idea to have.

Another amusing idea was what exactly had prompted Ryuu's older sister to buy all of these things. He was sure he'd met her before, but he couldn't recall what she was like terribly well... did she get a raise or anything, or is this just a regular occurrence?

It seemed to be that Aiko had some stuff to do, herself. "Oooh, are you going to get some money for horror stuff, Aiko-san?" He wasn't exactly hurting for cash because his brother's job was quite well paying and he... well, he tried his best, but it wouldn't hurt an awful lot to have more money to buy video games or manga or protein or something...

Ryuunosuke scratched his head sheepishly at Ryouta's comment. "Eheh, you're probably right..."

Apparently, Aiko had a younger sibling due soon. Ryuunosuke blinked in surprise. "O-oh!" He bowed his head. "Congratulations! That's really exciting." He brought a hand up to his face thoughtfully. "I've always been the youngest sibling, so I don't really know what that feels like. And, uh, my sister just got a new job here in Nagashima, so... maybe that's why? I don't know. She just... does this some times."

Inside the store, hiding behind a rack of clothing, Momo frowned. Was Ryuu shittalking her?

Also Aiko was here to sell some jewelery, which was pretty unusual. "Um... I don't know any jewelery stores around here, to be honest." He paused. "Uh, there's a blacksmith I'm familiar with, though. I don't know if he'd be interested or not, but maybe? Actually, is Imoto-san even still in town? I don't remember..."

Momo tapped her foot, scratching her head. Why was Ryuu muttering to himself? Why was her little brother so awkward? At least he was talking to people, which was a plus, but come on, make friends! Talk!

"Heh, thanks. Truth be told I'd at least be a little more interesting if it wasn't a human Murakami-sensei, but I suppose I can't change that at all." Aiko shrugged sarcastically as a smile played on her lips at the little jokes between the three of them. Yeah it was still going to be weird having one more flesh and blood human around all the time, one that kinda ruined her plans for another room but... *Sigh* Gotta stop thinking of that, Aiko. Babies need rooms and if the spare one has to be it... Well I guess I'll have to rent a storage unit or something.

"Ohoho, the 'just got a job money'. That's a powerful motivator. I truly wish for all the help for your mortal soul with that, man." It was just as bad as 'freshly promoted money', but a little more dangerous as well. She knew it well~ "Pffft, I doubt I could be any manlier than you, Ryouta-san! You're like... four of me. Everybody's got their genres they're not too big fans of, after all. I can't stand musicals, for one." Partially because I can't sing worth a hoot, but I'm totally not jealous or anything.

Ryuunosuke didn't seem to know where there were any jewelry stores either, so that was a bit of a bummer. Guess it meant just a bit more work walking around trying to find it herself then! "Hey, don't sweat it. There's bound to be at least one of those things around here, right?" He then went to say... well something about a blacksmith. She couldn't exactly catch what was being said. Kinda trailed off near the end too... "Oh yeah, I know a blacksmith too. Just not certain if it's the right kind of place to take these. Not like I'm looking to have them made into something, y'know? Just wanna sell these shiny rocks at a high price, hehe."

"Ah... a new job, yeah, that might explain it." The man scratched the back of his head. He wasn't too keen on commenting on Ryuu's sister's habits because he didn't really know her too well - in fact, he wasn't even sure he had met her at all - but still...

"That's... interesting!" It was fascinating to hear that Aiko would be more into the idea of a sibling if it was a nonhuman. She... isn't serious, right...? The man chuckled a bit.

Aiko's following comment caused the man to look down at his rather wide and bulky frame. "...well, yeah, I guess you're right, Aiko-san, but..." Suddenly, he wondered how easy it would be to pick the girl up. She didn't look really big in any way - as it was to be expected of a rather average Japanese teenager - and he wasn't sure it'd be too appropriate to ask.

There was nothing Ryouta could really say about the jewelry thing. "...maybe your sister knows a place, Ryuunosuke-san?" He didn't really know, but he couldn't stand to just stay in silence and feel dumb and unhelpful.

Ryuunosuke blinked. "Oh, yeah, you're right. She might know." He smiled sheepishly. "She's already been everywhere in town, I swear. She's only been here a month, but she already knows the shopping district better than I do." He paused. That was a little sad, huh?

He glanced back into the store. "Um... I think she's still shopping though? Where is she, actually...?"

Momo was definitely still hiding. She was peeking out between two dresses, watching Ryuunosuke talk. He was looking back! He was trying to find her! Momo clenched her fist. Don't retreat back to your sister! Why are you so awkward?! She was getting very visibly frustrated when a voice piped up behind her.

"Ahem, ma'am? May I ask what you're doing?"

Momo glanced up to see a slightly perturbed store employee standing behind her, crossing his arms. She shot back up, smiling sheepishly and trying to wave him off. "O-oh, I'm just, uh..."

Ryuunosuke blinked, watching. "Oh. There she is." He watched the conversation rapidly begin to devolve, accusations and defenses beginning to fly as Momo got louder and more agitated. She began to make wild hand gestures, and the store employee was beginning to call some of his coworkers over. "Oh, uh... I think she's getting into an argument."

Huh… Is it just me or are these two guys, I dunno, a little awkward? Aiko thought as she raised an eyebrow. She had to admit that technically it was really her only first meeting with Ryuunosuke , and second with Ryouta, but it was hard to shake the feeling that they weren’t the most sociable of people deep down. Eh, oh well. Not like it bothers me all that much anyway. Not like I spend a lot of time with these dudes! There was still a spot of hope for her, though! It seemed that Ryunnosuke’s sister might have an inkling of where she could find a shop for her shiny shadow rocks.

“Sounds great, Ryuunosuke-san! Guess I might as well head inside and try to find your sister then. I wouldn’t want to take up too much of you boy’s time with my little errand.” Aiko chuckled playfully at the two men as she started to walk inside of the shop, but was stopped as soon as she heard the raised voices and saw the movement of the store employees to one spot and woman in particular. “…Or maybe I’ll get lucky and find her right off the bat? At least I hope”

Aiko peeked around the corner to see Momo confronting the workers trying to deal with the agitated sister of Ryuunosuke, and took a deep breath as she thrust herself into the situation to try and diffuse it. “Heeeey, there you are! Me and your brother have been looking for you for a while now. Why didn’t you answer your phone?” Aiko tried to slyly wink at Momo to get her to play along, hoping that she could get the situation handled before the law had to get involved.

Indeed, it seemed to be that they'd found Ryuunosuke's sister... as she had somehow managed to get in a discussion with a bunch of employees of the store immediately as they were talking about her.

"Hahaha, uh..." One hell of a coincidence, that.

Aiko volunteered to go ahead and drag said sister outside, for which Ryouta was grateful - her suspicions were right and he was, indeed, somewhat awkward.

" - and how dare you, I am a loyal customer, and I have never done anything suspicious in my entire life - "

"Ma'am, you were just - "

"In my ENTIRE LIFE."

Before the employee on the phone could finish dialing up the on-lunch manager, the conversation was interrupted by Aiko. Momo's gaze snapped to the other girl tensely before realizing it was one of the people who had been talking with Ryuunosuke outside. She blinked in confusion before her expression softened and she smiled widely. "Oh, right, I'm sorry! I guess I just forgot while I was in the middle of shopping like a normal person." She shot a dirty look at the employees, willfully stoking the flames of an already tenuous situation. "I'll be going now, I need to see to my little brother."

"Ma'am, wait, we - "

"Nope," Momo replied, hastily exiting the building. She immediately went to where Ryuunosuke was, starting to pick up some of the bags on the ground. "Yuyu, hey, sorry for waiting, we should go around the corner before they can remember my face, cool," She said very quickly, picking up a surprisingly large number of bags before walking away very quickly. Ryuunosuke opened his mouth, closed it, and then looked to Aiko and Ryouta, confused. Figuring it would be best to follow along, Ryuunosuke hurried to get the rest of the bags. He seemed to be trying to get all of them at once, which hadn't worked very well last time.

“Hey no problem! Happens to the best of us, right?” Aiko joked as she continued to play along. Oh yeah, these clerks were pretty damn mad at whatever it was that Momo had done. Didn’t Ryuunosuke say she was just shopping for a bit? Maybe it was just that she was so used to ordering her merch online or only going to one physical location for her horror needs, but even Aiko hadn’t gotten store clerks angry enough to want to call the police before. Y’know, I’m starting to see why he was out there holding all those bags now… She thought as both girls managed to remove themselves from the nearly hostile shopping environment.

“The name’s Aiko Wakabayashi, by the way” she whispered as the safely managed to escape. If they were going to need an alibi for the next time she came to that shop, it’d be best to know who it was they were with, right? At least Aiko didn’t have that problem, just the few price tags she had seen inside that store were way more than her wallet would allow. Although maybe selling off these rocks will give me a little more yen… Eh, not like I need to get this stuff. All my stuff stills fits as it is.

Though it seemed that Momo was also in a hurry of her own, because she sure as hell tried to drag the three of them out of the immediate vicinity of the store they had just walked out of. “Yuyu?” she mouthed as she moved to grab a few of the bags herself. Ryuunosuke already had too much to carry again, so it was the least she could do to go back to holding a few of them for the poor guy. Besides, now she had a better chance to finally get to know this very persuasive sister of his. Maybe she could even pick up a few pointers… “Hah, you’re not kidding. Besides, I need to head up the street anyway. Let’s get a move on, gang!” Aiko waved at Ryuunosuke and Ryouta to follow her and Momo as they made their way down the street. Hell, at least things were interesting again!
