-insert something witty here-

"I ended up buying a lot of books again today..." Isoroku sighed to herself as she brought at least three bags of books she bought from the bookstore. Using her hard-earned paycheck from her part-time modeling job, she bought more than two dozens of new books. Her aunt had been chastising her a few times for using 3/5 of her paycheck to buy books, and Isoroku needed at least two rooms to keep all the books she had bought.

Being a bibliophile and a bookworm, Isoroku simply couldn't help it. As long as she's not using all of her pocket money to buy books, she'd be alright for the time being. Also, being a model paid well.

Feeling a little tired after carrying all the bags, she decided to take a rest for a while. She went to a nearby bench, which was conveniently empty at that time and settled down before she whipped out her phone from her purse. After reading all the mails she received, she checked the Bedlam forum, where she could see and learn about the current events within the community of the Persona-users in Nagashima.

Isoroku furrowed her brow after reading the latest topics about some latest discoveries as well as the news about one particular Shadow person in the ruins. A lot of things had been happening lately, but she decided to just watch things unfold from the sideline instead of getting herself involved in them. It's because she already had had enough of them.

A lot of things had happened to her these last few months, and after enduring them all, Isoroku couldn't help but feel the fatigue. So, she decided to not get herself too involved unless necessary. It's not that she had grown apathetic over things happening in Nagashima, not at all. It's just that she wanted to return to her mundane life, the life that she had lost sometime ago, the life that she regained though not entirely. Due to that, she also spent less time in the ruins, and only went there once a week in order to keep herself and her skills from getting rusty.

Once in a while, she would offer her service to heal those who were injured. That's the least she could do to them.

Even so, she wished that everyone who wanted to contribute more to the community to succeed in their endeavors. Isoroku knew that there might be times when she had to jump again into the fray, but for the time being, she'd rather try to regain a semblance of normalcy in her life. It might ultimately be a futile endeavor, considering that no matter how hard she would try, she would always be a Witch, but at least she's trying.

After all, living has more than just being a Witch.

Isoroku smiled as she continued reading all the topics. Then, she received a message from her manager. Well, it's time to head to her workplace, then. But first, she needed to drop all the bags of books at her aunt's apartment before she could head to her workplace, where another job was waiting for her.

For her, any semblance of normalcy might just be an illusion. But she wanted to savor it regardless. There might be time when the illusion had to be cast away, and she would have to be a Witch once again.
