Unlike most people born into the lifestyle that Momo had been privileged with, Momo did not require a whole lot of personal belongings to function. Basic toiletries, a laptop to do work and research on, and bedding were most of what she needed. And clothes; lots and lots of clothes. She'd brought the toiletries and the laptop, and the apartment had come with a pretty reasonable futon, along with a few other pieces of furniture, so the only thing Momo had been missing were clothes. Had being the key word, there; one day of shopping later, Momo had successfully bought all the clothes she could feasibly carry back to her apartment, and then some. Momo prided herself on being in-shape, but this was just a little too much for her to handle. She stopped outside the entrance to the apartment complex, placing a few of the bags on the floor and panting. She glanced up; the sun was just beginning to set, so she hadn't been out too long, but wow, it felt like she'd been carrying these bags for much longer. She paused and sat on a bench in front of the building, glancing around. Maybe someone would be courteous enough to help her carry these back up to her apartment? |

WHERE THE FUCK IS MARIO
|
Reiko was making her way home, wearing a grey sweatshirt with tracksuit bottoms and white trainers, her hair pulled back into a ponytail which was covered by her hood until she noticed the woman sitting on a bench in front of the building. The boxer pulled her hood down, because someone approaching you hooded was a sure fire way to get stabbed. Giving a small smile she waved, before unzipping her sweatshirt, needing to breathe after the long jog. Making a few deep breaths, Reiko looked to Momo. "Need some help there?" She offered, wiping her brow. "I just got done training but I think I can help out, it would be good for my weight training." It wasn't hard to see that from Reiko's underclothes being a simple tank top that she was proud of her physique. Her hands were covered with white tape, a hallmark of an amateur boxer, or someone who fought on the illegal fighting ring. White tape usually meant you liked punching people. |

Momo's alarm bells went off when she saw the hooded figure approaching before getting silenced when Reika took off her hood. She smiled gratefully at the offer. "Yeah, definitely! Just bought a little too much to handle." She shrugged off the rest of the bags, keeping half of them and handing the other half to Reika. "I just moved into the fourth floor of the building, here, so I'd really appreciate it if you helped me back up to my apartment." As she spoke, unable to help but admire the other girl's physique. Damn. She gestured towards the entrance, then started walking towards the apartment building. "What's your name, by the way? I'm Momo Makoto." |

Reiko took a half of the bags, splitting them between her arms as she gripped the handles tightly. "Ah no worries, it happens. If I had a hundred yen for every time it happened, well I wouldn't be trying to make money as desperately." The boxer scratched her neck slightly, jostling the bags before she put them back level. "Fourth floor? No way, that's the same floor I live on!" The boxing amateur smiled slightly. "So its no problem at all." Reiko started walking to the door and offered a small bow of her head, unable to do much else. "I'm Reiko Yamauchi. Pleased to meet ya!" |

Momo blinked. "Oh, really? Wow, what a coincidence." Maybe they lived near each other on the floor? She smiled, bowing back. "Likewise! I would shake your hand, but that's, uh, not really feasible for either of us, right now." There were a lot of bags. Shouldering her way through the door, Momo poked the button of the apartment's elevator with her elbow, waiting for it to come down to them. "Out of curiosity, what apartment number are you?" She asked. It's not like they would be neighbors or anything, but maybe they could be friends or something. |

"Yeah, means you don't have to worry about me leaving you with the bags on the second floor." She gave a grin implying it wouldn't come to that as she chuckled at the girl's own statement. "Mmm. We'll stick with the bow for now." As they stood by the elevator waiting Reiko looked up at the tiled ceiling, tapping her foot as if to remember something. "4.....05 I think. Yeah, 405. That's the one." Reiko gently nudged the girl with her shoulder. "Why are you 404, or 406?" The girl gave a little smirk. So far she seemed nice enough. The elevator made its way to the bottom, several suited men walking past them, their slight stagger giving away exactly where they were both going. She stepped in the elevator and waited between the doors, giving Momo time to enter. |

Momo blinked. "Uh. 404." The revelation that they were neighbors waited a few moments as the two stood there silently, waiting for the suited men in the elevator to pass, but the second Momo stepped into the elevator, the doors closing behind her, an irrepresible grin popped up on her face. "Wait, wait," she said, reaching over and prodding the button for the fourth floor with her elbow. "Are... are we neighbors? For real?" This was quite the coincidence, she thought to herself. |

"Wow.. guess we are." The boxer added with a slight shrug, leaning against the railing inside the elevator. Gently lowering the bags to the floor she stretched her arms, showing off a little. "Well, its nice to know that you're close." Reiko tested the air with a bit of shadow boxing. Training could be done anywhere, after all. "So what's life for you?" A deep question to be sure. "I mean, like what do you do." Reiko hastily added, tying herself up with words. "I'm at college but I'm training to be a professional boxer." As if that wasn't obvious from the display. The doors of the elevator opened slowly, leaving them on the fourth floor. Reiko picked up the bags and nodded to Momo. "404, right?" |

Momo was a lot more excited than Reiko was that she'd randomly found her neighbor outside the apartment building, giggling and resisting the urge to jump up and down happily. "Oh, that's so neat! It's like fate or something! We just randomly happened to bump into each other." She leaned back and watched Reiko's shadowboxing, surprised and somewhat interested. "A boxer, huh? That's pretty cool." And she was pretty into it, too, if the sudden training display was any indication. The elevator doors opened then, and Momo hefted her bags back up and stepped outside. "Yeah, 404. It's, uh..." Momo paused, then glanced twice in opposite directions before pointing the way her room was. "That way, right?" They started walking, and Momo said, "Oh, right, I didn't answer your question. I'm a chef! I finished up culinary school a while back, and just got rehired at a local place here. You ever been to the Peach Grill?" |

Reiko shook her head, giving a puzzled look. "Never heard of it. I don't get out to restaurants much, if you guessed." The boxer patted her stomach, prideful of her somewhat masculine, yet still feminine appearance. Great care was taken to strike the balance. "I always manage to eat something that doesn't agree with me." The fact she was admitting this sounded like a thinly veiled request for something to eat sometime. Not that Reiko was that shallow, right? Stopping at the door for 404 the girl smiled. "Do you need help getting it inside? I'm not busy right now." She offered, clearly not taking no for an answer by how she hadn't let go of the bags. |
