Name: Momo Makoto
Gender: Female
Age: 24

Class: N/A

Clubs/Occupation: Chef, graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in Tokyo in the Grand DiplĂ´me program

Personality: Momo is constantly moving - she is a very intense, high-energy person who wants to be doing something at all times. She puts her all into everything she does, no matter how small it is, and her energetic personality has the tendency to inspire those around her. She is generally cheery and likable, always up for a chat when she's not working. Momo also has a soft spot for kids, especially teenagers, and will treat them with the same respect she would treat her coworkers or professors with. In particular, she loves her younger brother, Ryuunosuke, quite dearly. Momo has an extremely generous streak, often buying her friends gifts without any warning, and her greatest dream is to open some sort of culinary institution that gives food to the needy.

Her standards while working are extremely high, both for herself and for those around her. While she tries her best to be understanding, she has an extremely low tolerance threshold for incompetence. If some new hire kid forgets to peel the potatoes then sure, whatever - if a sous chef with years of experience forgets? Momo will chew them out with no mercy, showing a side of herself rarely seen outside of the kitchen. Some of her coworkers would describe her as two-faced, but Momo just takes her job very seriously. In that way, she is very much her father's child - she believes in the truth of hard work and diligence, and follows those principles in her everyday life. Despite outward appearances, Momo is actually happiest while working.

Although she has plenty of experience working in a team, Momo thrives when operating independently. It is also difficult for her to be productive under constant scrutiny and supervision - she likes to be in complete control of her work-space, and not have anyone interfering. This bleeds into her personal life as well, where Momo is an extremely self-sufficient person. She rarely ever opens up about her feelings, and is secretly insecure about her career choice, jealous of her older siblings and their prestigious office jobs. She fears that she hasn't been a good older sister to Ryuunosuke, since the two stopped talking much at all after Momo moved away to college.

History: Momo is the third child of Ichinose and Sayuri Makoto, born after their previous children Keiko and Kenji. The rest of her family were incredibly successful people: Ichinose was the head of a large company, Sayuri was a famous performer and singer, and Keiko and Kenji were the heads of their respective classes that moved on to well-paying jobs. Although Momo had a difficult legacy to uphold, it was apparent early on that she was a worthy heir to the family name. She performed impeccably on all of her schoolwork and was a respectful daughter and sister, earning the love and respect of her family and peers. When she was eight years old, the family was blessed with another child: Ryuunosuke, Momo's younger brother. She formed a close bond with him early on, although her busy studies and their parents's strict nature caused them to drift apart as she became a teenager.

Momo flew through high school and moved on to college; her parents were initially skeptical of her culinary aspirations, but once she got into Le Cordon Bleu in Tokyo, they were more than willing to support her. She struggled in culinary school more than she had previously, but Momo's natural talent and intuition helped her pull through, and she got away with a degree a few years later.

Right after graduation, Momo started working a semi-stable, but non-permanent job at an up-and-coming restaurant in Kobe. She found the work acceptable, but had greater aspirations for the highest tables in Japan. Before those plans came to fruition, however, she caught word that her little brother Ryuunosuke had recently been through some sort of trauma and was living alone in Nagashima. She heard this during a phone call with her mother, who tried to downplay the whole situation, but Momo had none of it, immediately wrought with worry for her younger sibling.

She worked out the time remaining in her contract and packed her bags, booking a ticket for the next train to Nagashima. Her current plans are to find a new job at some local restaurant and support her little brother in whatever way he needs. Plus, from what she's heard in the local news, Nagashima's a dangerous town, and Ryuunosuke's a fragile kid; what good is an older sibling if they aren't there to protect their little brother?

Appearance: Momo gives off a powerful presence in any room. Slightly taller than the average Japanese woman, Momo stands around around 5'5". She utilizes the entirety of her stature, always keeping her back straight and her chin high. Her piercing brown eyes and sharply honed sense of composure can seem intimidating at times. Due to her profession, Momo keeps her light brown hair cropped and short, although she often likes to put bows or clips in it.

Momo is remarkably thin and lithe, mostly due to the enormous amount of work it takes to be a chef, along with a fast metabolism. Her muscles are well built from her time in the kitchen and her regular exercise routine. She considers herself a bit of a fashionista, and when not in her work uniform, is often seen wearing a variety of trendy outfits. She tends to prefer bright colors, and will skew towards warmer clothing when the weather is such that she could go either way.
