All at once, a crowd of excited children, each running around shouting the name's of special moves and posing, burst from the theatre accompanied by their parents and caretakers, who had since given up trying to calm the kids. Near the back of the group, two teenagers emerged as well. Ren, like all the other children, was shouting the name's of special moves and posing.

'That was awesome!! Definitely the best Phoenix Ranger Featherman movie yet!! I still can't believe the new White Swan was actually Red Hawk's son from the future! And did you see that crazy new move?! "RAINBOW SWAN... DIVE!!!"' Ren shot his hands into the air in a grandiose fashion as he shouted the movers name. Several of the parents gave him worried glances, but the kids around them started shouting the move too.

When Ren calmed down a little, he looked over at Mai. 'Thanks for humorist me. I know I'm a little too old for Featherman, but it's just so cool! I guess I'm still a kid at heart, haha!'

He leaned a in as he walked and talked with Mai. 'Did you at least enjoy it a little bit? It wasn't completely painful, right?'

Well, that had happened.

An hour of spandex, blatant CGI, and surprisingly good acting later, Mai had finished watching the new Featherman movie with Ren. She wasn't sure how she'd ended up in this situation - she'd gone to Coco'Coffee, gotten something to eat, and then she'd met Ren and, the next thing she knew, there were men in bird costumes doing backflips. She smiled politely as Ren went on about how cool the movie had been. It... had certainly been a thing - Mai could say that, at least. Her eyes widened and she took a step back, surprised as Ren shouted the special attack move. She glanced around - no one she knew was around, right?

Her painted smile returned as Ren asked how she'd enjoyed the movie. "I... I enjoyed it more than I thought I would." She was being somewhat truthful - there was some kind of soul to the movie, behind all the camp and cheese. "This isn't the kind of thing I watch a lot, but I can see why you would enjoy it." Mai paused, considered her wording carefully, and asked, "So, you like Featherman, Ren-san?"

Ren laughed as Mai chose all of her words. 'I'm really surprised you actually agreed to see it! I was joking when I suggested it! Mostly, anyway.' Ren gazed ahead as he walked and talked. 'Yeah, I like Featherman. It may sound silly or cheesy or whatever, but that show was a really important part of my childhood. I know I was suppose to grow out of it, but it's just still really fun!' He glanced at Mai with a smirk. 'you gotta admit, it was at least a little cool, right?

'Did you want to go grab something to eat? Maybe explore a bit? I know the town pretty well!'

Mai chuckled awkwardly, holding her arms behind her back. "O-oh, were you joking? I... wasn't quite sure." It hadn't occurred to her that she had the option of other movies once he'd brought up Featherman. She smiled at him. "It... it was a new experience. I think I enjoyed it."

She was actually feeling a little drained already from the Featherman movie, but she couldn't very well say no to Ren's invitation. "Sure," she said, smiling politely. "That would be nice. I just moved into town, so I'd appreciate it if you showed me around, Watanabe-san. Where to?"

'Well, that depends on where you want to go, Mai-chan! We could explore some of the shops nearby, or just see the sights. I know there's a pretty cool unicorn fountain nearby!'

Ren chuckled. 'And I promise not to take you anywhere weird like a model shop or gaming parlor. I think a tokusatsu movie was enough torture for one day!'

A model shop? What on earth was a model shop? Like, a modeling agency? Was this Ren paying her a compliment? Mai had no idea and opted to just keep her mouth shut on that subject. Ren seemed like a guy with some fairly interesting tastes. "Umm, I wouldn't mind just seeing the sights. I don't know a lot of stuff the locals know about, yet. Although I've seen the unicorn fountain! It is quite impressive." She smiled.

He'd offered to do whatever she wanted to, which was an something she usually had some difficulty handling. "I guess just surprise me?" She said. She didn't know what she wanted, honestly, so this seemed like the best compromise.
