It was a quiet day in the library - not many visitors had come in to check out books or do some reading, so most of the staff were just waiting or doing minor organizational work. Haru was in the latter half, having been assigned to reshelve some returned books. They'd learned how to do it from Trent a while ago, and were confident that they could do so without any trouble: a belief that was already being tested. Haru was balanced precariously on top of a stool, trying and failing to reach the very top shelf of a particularly tall bookcase. This was the last book in their pile. After they put this back, they could go do something else. Haru bit their bottom lip, straining and trying to stand on the very tips of their toes to reach. This was fine, they thought. Nothing could possibly go -

Haru promptly fell to the floor, crashing backwards and accidentally kicking at the bookshelf in front of them before landing in a sprawled position. "Ack!" They yelped ungracefully, landing hard on their back. Before they could even get up, the entire contents of the bookshelf then fell out, landing directly on top of Haru. After a few loud, painful moments, everything went still. Haru was laying on the floor, covered in books with a toppled stool next to them and an empty bookcase in front of them.

Taking a deep breath, Haru let out a quiet, high-pitched whining noise. They didn't even get up; they figured life could wait for them to regain the will to move before they went to put the books back.

One of the few visitors at the library was Penny Umehara. One might think her cousin, Tarou would be here instead, but he had to work. And she wanted a book on flowers. So here she was carrying some book about gardening, when she heard a very loud crash. 'Libraries aren't supposed to be loud. Why the hell was there a loud noise then?' She wondered. The young girl followed the sound of the crash and saw, or well, heard someone emit a whining noise underneath a pile.

"Are you dead?" Penny asked. Of course, she was 89% sure they weren't, but you never know. Besides, maybe the whining noise was the last exhale of a corpse?

Libraries where usually quite places, especially on days when there were very few people there. Tatsuo had been sat down, reading a book he had picked from one of the shelves, when all of a sudden a loud crash rang throughout the building. What the hell could that be? Tatsuo thought to himself, as he went to see what had caused the loud noise.

Tatsuo found one of the bookshelves knocked over, with it's contents scattered across the floor. He stood there for several seconds in bewilderment, before he heard a quiet whimper from beneath the pile, as he realized that someone was buried underneath all of the books.

"How'd you manage this?" asked Tatsuo, irritated, but also somewhat amused.

Haru was about to sit up when two visitors came over to see what all the fuss was. Remembering that they were a worker there, and supposed to look somewhat professional, Haru shot up to a sitting position. As they did, a book fell off their chest and onto their hand, spine first, causing Haru to hiss in pain. "Ach!" Holding their hand, they looked between Tatsuo and Penny, massaging it lightly as they tried to reassure the two of them, "I'm fine, I'm fine! Not dead at all. Just, um... just fell."

They gingerly stood up, grabbing a book as they did so. Looking over the empty bookshelf, they sighed, scratching the back of their head. "Oh boy..." They looked over at the two and smiled sheepishly, blushing slightly. "Um... sorry for the disturbance. I work here, I can clean this up."

'Isn't your husband the God of the Underworld or something? So, you should know if they are dead then?' She asked her Persona.

A sigh echoed in her mind. I guarantee this child is not dead. Proserpine replied.

Penny raised an eyebrow. Well, Haru was hissing a lot. Perhaps they were a zombie? Penny didn't know, but she didn't care about that anymore. The poor thing was saying they would clean up by themselves.

Penny didn't even reply. She began picking up books, and trying to organize them into stacks. It was the nice thing to do. And it would help, right?

She looked up at Haru and the boy. "Well, are you going to help?"

The girl's words sent a wave of guilt through Tatsuo. He had been a bit of a jackass when first coming onto the scene, and now he wasn't even helping. He then looked over at Haru organizing the books, as he thought about how embarrassing the entire situation must have been for them. He then quickly snapped out of his thoughts as he realized he had just been standing there for several seconds without responding to the girl.

"Uh, yeah...sorry" Tatsuo said, before picking up some of the books and organizing them into their own piles

Haru looked between Tatsuo and Penny, pausing their organization of the books on the floor. "Wait, huh?" Upon realizing what they were doing, a flash of guilt appeared in Haru's expression as they shook their head and waved their hands frantically, signalling the two of them to stop. "N-no, it's okay! This is my job, you don't have to help!"

Their face flushed, embarrassed. Sure, it would be nice to have the help, but they would feel bad about two random library-goers doing their work for them...

"So?" Penny said with confusion. Was it wrong to help someone? Even if it was their job in the first place? Penny didn't think so, she thought it was perfectly acceptable. Being a good Samaritan was the normal thing for a person. She was a Canadian after all! (Despite only living there until she was two.)

"Well, if we're together cleaning books, we might as well get to know each other. I'm Penny Umehara. You?"

"It's fine, we can't expect you the clean this all up by yourself, even if you do work here" said Tatsuo trying to sound a bit more friendly. He knew there was nothing wrong with helping, but he could also understand why Haru was so embarrassed by it, having two strangers. Having two strangers help clean up a mess you caused can't look good to your boss.

"My name's Tatsuo Ishikawa, I just moved here a couple days ago" said Tatsuo as he turned to face the girl, who's name was had just introduced herself as Penny.
