Name:Tatsuo Ishikawa

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Class: 2-F (When the next school year starts)
Reitaku

Height: 5’10

Clubs: Art

Personality:

Tatsuo is a hot-headed and violent person, often breaking out it bouts of uncontrollable rage anytime someone brings up events from his past (will go into more depth in history), or if they insult him or are just being especially irritating. This short temper usually results in Tatsuo getting into a fight, which would happen all throughout his school life. However unlike most other delinquents, Tatsuo actually doesn't like fighting, he's just unable to control his temper, and is almost never the one to provoke the fight in the first place. Tatsuo’s general dislike of violence causes him to constantly beat himself up over his violent tendencies, hating himself for constantly adding onto his family's financial instability.

Tatsuo’s attitude results in him having very few friends, since most kids in his school are too afraid to even talk to him. However Tatsuo actually values the few friends he has, and would do almost anything for them, usually being freely volunteering to help when one of them has a problem.

Tatsuo is also actually quite knowledgeable on subjects that interest him, such as literature, drama, and especially art; just don’t ask him to do math. Unfortunately though, his hot headed attitude easily overshadows this. With most of his peers thinking of him as just a dumb brute, which pisses him off even more.

History:

Tatsuo’s life began with tragedy. His mother died at childbirth leaving his father to raise him alone. Tatsuo’s father was a successful artist whose paintings were shown off all across Japan, garnering much critical and commercial success. Tatsuo looked up,to his father greatly, often spending hours of his time studying his father’s art, and trying to replicate it.

However when Tatsuo was ten, tragedy struck. His father was in a car accident, and while fortunately surviving, lost most of the control of his right hand, making unable to paint again. This lead to Tatsuo becoming depressed and angered out how unfair the entire thing was, which all came out when a classmate of his began mocking Tatsuo's own art.Tatsuo responded to this by punching the kid in the face, breaking his nose. This would be the first of many fights that Tatsuo would have through his school life.

Tatsuo continued to get into more fights throughout his school life. Eventually his fights became so well known throughout his school that Tatsuo ended up getting a delinquent reputation, which pissed him off, as he felt his reputation ended up overshadowing everything else about him.

All the while Tatsuo slowly watched as his family’s financial situation got worse and worse, as his father began having to take odd jobs here in there in order to get by. Eventually Tatsuo decided he would have to step in order to make ends meet. He began working at a local Peace Diner, which he hated. Having to come in day after day to serve people who were often times rude, just added to Tatsuo’s already immense anger, and he was just barely able to hold back his anger at the customers.

Eventually, when his first year of highschool,Tatsuo ended up getting into a fight with a third year student, after the student mocked him for his interest in art. While the fight was broken up fairly quickly, the student happened to be the son of the school’s principal, who promptly expelled Tatsuo.

This caused Tatsuo to move to the nearby town of Nagashima, with his father staying in Izumi for work and financial purposes. Despite passing the entrance exam, Tatsuo was rejected from the Taiyoutono due to his violent history. This forced him to attend the much more rundown Reitaku High school, as well as causing him to have a bitterness towards Taiyoutono and it’s students. As well as leading him to swear to get over his violent temper, so that he may one day attend Rokujima University and make enough money to support him and his father.

Appearance: Tatsuo has medium length blonde hair, which is very messy since he rarely bothers to comb it. When not being forced to wear his school uniform; Tatsuo can often be found wearing a white dress shirt and red gloves on top, and black dress pants and shoes on bottom (Though he often has to buy new ones, after each set is destroyed in a fight).

Weapon: His fist, after years of getting into schoolyard fights Tatsuo has developed a relentless, yet flawed fighting style, with him attacking as recklessly as possible, with little thought for defense.

Mask: Don’t know at the moment… Will add before awakening.

Persona: Samson, a hero from christian mythology. Samson was the strongest man in the world, until a woman named Delilah seduced him and cut his hair (the source of his power) making him lose his strength. Afterwards Samson was captured by the Philistine and blinded, but pushed two pillars within the temple he was held in apart. Causing the temple to collapse, killing him along with the philistines.

As Tatsuo’s persona, Samson appears as a large red man, with a loin cloth covering his pelvic area. His hair also falls down covering his entire face. He’s also chained to two pillars, which he constantly carries upon his shoulders, only taking them off in order to hit a shadow.

Hey, Thomas! Nice to see you on the forum.

  • Taiyoutono uses the number-number classroom listing, Reitaku uses number-letter.

  • The big thing here is in the history. I don't think that injuring a writing hand will necessarily be the end of the career of an author? The natural thing would be to learn to use his left? There's other means of getting words on paper after all. Typing isn't impossible with just one hand and there's even talk to text programs. If all else fails, his father could have dictated his words to someone else to write or type him on his behalf.

  • In regards to having to get a job to make ends meet? It'd be more likely he'd work at the local Peace Diner than become a published author himself as a teenager.

  • Getting into a Japanese public high school is a matter of testing. Prestige or connections have nothing to do with it. So long as he got the minimum marks on an entrance exam and can handle tuition, he's in

That should fix everything, thank you for your criticisms, and I will be sure to look out for things like that in the future.

1. Simple oversight.

2. This is the way I though to address the most of your concerncs I could come up with without just killing him. Which I didn't want to do as that's a bit cliche.

3.While the idea about becoming a author as a teenager isn't impossible, as it happened right in my town. It is still very far fetched so I did change it (plus having a very violent person work at a place called a peace diner, is kind've funny).

4. Similar to the first one there's really not that much to go into here, I made a mistake and I fixed it.

Mmm, it's shaping up. I'd say there's probably just a couple of more things to be cleared up.

In his personality. It's mentioned he has favorite subjects, but just what are those?

'Peace Diner' is a proper noun, so should always be capitalized.

The biggest thing is this fight incident? How did he manage to mange a group of older students so badly one of them suffered a broken limb? Beyond the logistics of it, it makes it somewhat unlikely Tatsuo would ever attend a public school again, nevermind whose son it was hurt. Taiyoutono's something of a higher-end school and it's highly unlikely he'd end up there as opposed to some private school where most of the worst undesirables go. Injuring another student like that on school grounds is the kind of thing no one stands for, after all.

Like Non said, the principal, Kawabata, wouldn't admit him to Taiyoutono if he's got a violent track record following him.
