Yes… I’d sell the souls of all humanity to the devil if I thought it’d get us a happy ending.
"Mooooooooooom! You didn't tell them the right time!" Aiko shouted as she raced down the stairs of her home, towel still wrapped around her head. It had been such a simple plan, or so she had thought. The last movie time she hosted had gone wonderfully, had a blast, saw some good films. Why not have another? Maybe this time invite another friend over to help share with the good horror times. Maybe her friend she wanted to introduce was Sandra and it would be great if she got to see her more introduce friends to friends and have more friends? Maybe Akemi could join them for some horror-ing as well. Wouldn't that be great?

Except sometimes not everything went great. The best example of that was the very friends she invited over calling to check the meet-up time while she was in the shower, and her mom picking up and giving them the wrong time of thirty minutes early. And then not telling Aiko that until after she stepped out of the shower. Which then meant that Aiko only had twenty minutes until her friends were about to show up at her front door and there was nothing she could do about it.

"Oh I'm sorry honey, I must have gotten something mixed up. Do you want to call them back and reschedule?" her mom replied apologetically. Always the voice of reason no matter how crazily her daughter rushed around the house. Years of practice would do that. The dark-haired girl zoomed into the laundry room and frantically began pulling out fresh clothes from the dryer, not paying too much attention to if anything matched or how wrinkled it was as she tried to get ready.

"No! No it's... it's fine, sorry. Should have written it down or something, mom." Aiko sighed through the shirt the tugged down over her head. I gotta try and be a little less angry towards her if I can... We've got the new kid coming along and I... don't want to stress her. Ugh. I hate to sound ungrateful sometimes, but man did they pick a lousy time to do this... "Have you seen my jeans?"

"They're right there beside the dryer. You're going to need to have that one leg cuff sewed up though, the tear is starting to get bigg-"

"Okay, found it thanks!" Aiko hopped on one leg as she desperately tried to shove the other in, nearly losing her balance. Oh this day's just gonna be graaaaaaand

A tight adherence to organization was not the strong-suit of this group of girls! That was totally okay, the whole point was just to hang around and enjoy each others companies and movies they liked in the first place. The rest could just take care of itself, right?

But at least Hanako did her best to be punctual! Which in this case, meant being too early by at least a half-hour! Well, perhaps a bit earlier than that. The last time they had a meeting they were talking about space-themed horror movies? Everyone seemed to have a preference for subtitled American movies, so she brought John Carpenter's The Thing, Alien and Phantasm.

The last one wasn't exactly aliens from space, but when the antagonists are interdenominational invaders vs interplanetary ones, the distinction was minor, at best. She also recalled they were planning to do it at her place for the second time? But she didn't object so long as they got together.

She did her best to dress a bit casually: Blue graphic tee, knee length blue skirt, white knee-high socks and a denim jacket. She'd brought along the violet castro cap she'd grown fond of and her silver earrings were dangling from her ears as usual. She hummed to herself and rang the doorbell.

As per usual, she made sure to offer anyone else going a lift if they wanted it

Not being part of a club or any kind of official thing'd never stopped Akemi from inviting herself to fun happenings around her, and a change of laction wasn't going to change that! It didn't matter that horror movies weren't really her thing, or that she didn't know some of the person who'd most likely be present - it was a promise of a fun time between girls neitherless. Fun girl time - something she'd sorely been in shortage of since her arrival, her hangouts with Aiko and Gally notwithstanding.

To make up for her unplanned-for presence, she hadn't arrived empty-handed - two bags of rather alluring candy were safely tucked under her left arm. Her attire consisted of a dark green, knee-lenght dress with a red floral pattern blossoming from the bottom worn over a white tee, her black winter coat, and striped stockings. The usual black polish adorned her nails - as usual, she was looking mighty fine, if she did say so herself.

She arrived on time, for once! Her Brazilian brain'd have melted had she been aware of the fact that she was actually half a hour early. "Hey, Aiko-chan! I brought some candy!" she called out happily.

The sound of a running motorcycle could be heard nearby as Kaya soon arrived onto the scene. Dressed in a faded green jacket over a black shirt and matching pants with a backpack slung over her shoulders, she looked for a place to park her vehicle. Finding an empty space on the sidewalk, she parked her bike nearby and made her way to the group.

Tonight was going to be a simple night. A "Girl's Night" as it's called. And that was all she's going to ask for.

Nodding towards the girls, she greeted them with a simple "Hmm" as she rustled the backpack a bit, letting out some clanking noises.
"I brought some drinks. Mostly soda and energy. Brought some films as well. Let's party, I guess."

Taking a deep breath, she gave the group a smirk and a wink, one that didn't say "Stroke Victim" for once.

Things might be looking up.

A strict adherent to a personal policy of always causing a good impression on others and always arriving to events properly, Sandra Arboleda didn't need to call to verify the time she should arrive at - she had memorized it perfectly.

A strict adherent to a personal policy of always causing a good impression on others and always arriving to events properly, she arrived half an hour earlier anyways just because she could.

It appeared to be that the girl didn't really know how to dress casually - dressed in a black blazer over a white blouse, with dark blue pants and her trademark(?) high-heeled boots, she might look slightly out of place in a casual meeting between friends. The simple, elegant black purse she carried didn't help matters at all.

Even moreso if said 'friends' didn't even know her.

She'd decided to take a taxi over to her destination and, after a short trip, she paid and walked outside. Seeing so many people half an hour early was somewhat weird to her - she expected to have to wait for some time before people began arriving - but she wasn't about to complain. "Ah, good evening. I see we all arrived early."

She'd heard a bit about the group of friends Aiko tended to watch movies with, and if this many people came early, she was frightened as to how many people there could possibly be in total.

"The doorbell!" Aiko gasped, hearing the singsongy tone echo through the house as Hanako pressed it. There just wasn't enough time in the day, was there? Her hair was still damp from the shower, wild and everywhere due to not being able to comb it yet, her black Ju-On shirt had been hastily thrown over her frame with wrinkles aplenty still on it, and she had just gotten the last bit of her worn blue jeans zipped up when she head the bell. Of course, that wasn't the scariest thing she heard.

"Don't worry honey, I'll get it!"

"N-No, that's okay mom! I'm just... nearby, don't worry! Totally getting the door right now!" She burst out of the laundry room and sprinted to the front door, taking a very brief instant to try and smooth her hair down with her hand before she opened the door with a grin. "Hey girls, glad you could make it! Looks like we're going to have ourselves a full house, huh?" Oh yes, everyone she invited had arrived, and they looked fancy~ Not almost enough to make Aiko feel underdressed in her own home, however. Mostly because it was thrown together in the last few minutes. "I'm so glad you guys could come, please, step inside! Looking good, by the way." Aiko motioned her friends to enter her moderately sized home as she prepared for the fun to be.

"Ah nice Akemi-chan, Kaya-chan! snacks are the most important part of movie-watching; looks like you guys really prepared for it, huh?" Aiko chuckled playfully and jerked her thumb towards a set of stairs that led to the second floor. "You guys can leave your coats and stuff here if you want, my room's just upstairs."

"Aiko-chan! Hey!" There were more guest than usual. Girls she'd never met before, either. It seems their dear horror movie buff was far more popular than one could expect. One of the girls was named Akemi.

The other? That was Sandra, right? She'd done a delivery of a baton to her. Seemed pretty guarded, kind of odd and a little staid but she didn't say she disliked her. Tonight, she seemed very proper formally dressed and serious. "Hmm? We're early? I checked with Aiko's mother, this was the time that she checked for and made sure everyone knew…?" She held out a hand in that western sort of greeting and had a big smile. "I'm Hanako Ito, by the way! It's nice to meet you!"

If there was a mix-up, Hanako wasn't in the loop for it. But the important thing was everyone made it! "I've been looking forward to this! I made sure to bring the films!" She found a spot to leave her coat and her outdoor shoes just below it. "Kaya! You're looking pretty nice lately, did something good happen?"

Two more girls arrived - she didn't know if that was all of them, but they'd reached the number of people necessary to turn some movie-watching into a truly enjoyable social experience. The "fun threshold", in scientific terms - and there was Aiko opening the door! She was even polite enough to introduce her to the others! Attagirl.

"Ear... ly?" Akemi looked befuddled by Sandra's statement, and Hanako's answer did nothing to help it. Early? EARLY? If she'd arrived early, she was gonna be pretty damn mad towards herself. A cardinal sin or any Brazilian worth their salt! "Nice to meet you all! I'm Akemi, last name Ribeiro, coming atcha from the coast of Brazil!" Better get that one in while she could, just to distract herself from thse unpleasant thoughts.

"We're gonna have ourselves an awesome night, is what's been happening." she commented with a wink.

Kaya was glad that the girls appreciated the drinks. She wasn't sure if anyone had any strange allergies though. That would be a problem.
"So I wasn't sure if you had any specific tastes, so I mostly just bought anything that looked good."

Her head turned towards Hanako as the girl complimented her looks. To be honest, Kaya was never accustomed to such comments. Maybe it was just her clothes, in which case she might consider wearing something similar more often. Either way, it was appreciated.
"Thanks. You too."

The confusion displayed by everyone else present made Sandra herself confused. She was absolutely certain that they had to arrive at a given specific time, and that she had chosen to arrive early on purpose...

She frowned, but didn't have too much time to think about it once the door was opened. "Ah, good evening, Aiko-chan." She looked agitated, for whatever reason, but the girl chose not to prod any further, instead turning to reply to the greeting of one Hanako Ito.

"Good evening, Ito-san. My name is Sandra Arboleda. It is indeed a pleasure to meet you, too." Even though it wasn't the first time that they met, it was the first time they actually stopped to speak with each other. Sandra didn't know if it was a good idea to bring this fact up, however, since she wasn't sure if the others were Persona-users too...

Even if that was true, she was indeed going to meet new people, starting with the other dark-skinned girl. Upon the revelation that she was Brazilian, the girl's eyebrows arched in surprise. Shortly after, she smiled. "Ah, another Latina, I see." For as much as her Portuguese was somewhat rusty, she was still very much capable of carrying a simple conversation. "It is a pleasure to meet you, miss Ribeiro." With that, she stretched her hand towards the girl, expecting a handshake in return.

Even though the other girl hadn't greeted her at all, she wasn't going to be ignored either. "And good evening to you too. What is your name, if I may ask?"

With that, it was time to enter.
