Name: Hitomi Tano Gender: Female Age: 16 Class: 2-5 Clubs/Occupation: Gymnastics Club, Shogi Club, Works part time at the Matechi Wild Duck franchise. Personality: Hitomi has had a clear goal for most of her young life. Get into a good school, get a good job, and see to it personally that the rest of her family wouldn't have such a struggle. She still feels somewhat guilty that she alone had it easier than her siblings or parents. That guilt is the main source of her drive to succeed despite any adversities she may encounter. As far as she is concerned, her time in Nagashima is just a temporary layover until she graduates. Getting the best grades possible and moving forward with her long term goals are the only things that matter. She adopts a style of demeanor that's most useful for interacting with the world that way. Bland, inoffensive and chummy but not too chummy. Hitomi has discovered this frees her up from getting too closely involved in others and distracted by their problems. Beneath the cheerful and dully pleasant act, the girl can be harshly judgmental of others. Rarely do her acerbic observations escape the confines of her own mind. A notable exception being whenever she enjoys a degree of anonymity. Not making waves matters a lot to her. Beyond her studies proper, She is an intentionally middling participant in her clubs. Never wanting to do too well lest she attracts jealously of her peers. It really doesn't matter to her too much, besides making a good showing as an ideal student. She has adjusted well to the life in the dorms as her upbringing has left her frugal and it's easy enough to keep to herself. She speaks with an obvious Kansai-ben but doesn't have a terribly high opinion of regional stereotypes or affectations. Among friends and family from back home, she is quite a bit more relaxed and dispenses with all attempts at palatable empty cheer. History: Isao Tano was a man with a dream. Nothing too ambitious or complicated: The Osaka resident aspired to open his own restaurant. It was his greatest goal in life since he was a small child. With the help of his childhood friend Rika, they came close. Very close. Along the way of his ultimate aspiration the two married and had two children. Unfortunately, Isao's restaurant suffered the fate of most small business start-ups and faltered and went under within a year. To make matters worse, they weren't able to pay off the loan that was taken out to try and make it possible. He hoped to take a second go at opening an eatery and take full advantage of everything he'd learned in the first. But before that was even an option, he needed to get out of the red. Financial austerity was the theme of the Tano's household for years to come. Belts were tightened and everyone contributed as the best of their abilities. Above, all every Yen that was saved went towards settling the balance. In time, the family would grow by one more. Not too long before their third child was to be born, Rika and Isao made an evaluation of their lives so far. They reached a conclusion that the only regret they had was they were unable to give their children everything they felt they deserved. When this was mentioned to the two children they already had, they were persistent in their desire to keep helping. Their third child was a girl they named Hitomi. By the time she came into the picture, it was understood she would be less burdened with responsibilities. Hitomi grew up to be a bright girl, and it didn't take long for her to notice the differences in the expectations of her siblings and her. Her elder sister and brother both held part time jobs and intended to get jobs as soon as possible, she was always encouraged to get into a good school as her top priority. Despite money being tight, everyone was willing to go without if it was for her sake. The more she considered it, the more this didn't seem right at all for her. When she attempted to follow their examples, they gently put her back on the path they had in mind for her. All the while, she found herself with no choice in the matter. Hitomi had made up her mind as to what she would eventually do: she would repay her family's support and kindness. If not sooner, then eventually. She pushed herself even further in school and kept a keen eye to her future. After she graduated middle school, she had options for several high schools to apply to. When it came to matters of the prospects later and the tuition price, Taiyoutono high based out of in Nagashima had obvious merits to her. Despite the fact that it would mean leaving her family behind in Osaka and living in the dorms. She considered it her turn to make a sacrifice that would ultimately be for the good for the family. Her first year at Taiyoutono went by without event. Hitomi's first priority has always been studying, not socializing. She watched the parade of colorful characters without comment, and focused on her studies. At the moment, she anticipates that her upcoming second year will likewise be mainly unimpeded shot towards her end goal. Appearance: Hitomi stands at 5'2" with a slender but a lithe and well-toned frame. Her skin complexion is quite fair and she has shoulder length rose hair with a right oriented side-swept bang and large blue eyes. She has a heart-shaped face. In both style of dress and demeanor, she prefers to dress modestly and simply. Weapon: Hitomi is athletic and while not a fighter is familiar enough wit hthe basics of self defense. She prefers to use blunt objects that aren't too heavy or unbalanced. Her ideal weapon would be a length of steel pipe or a Jo. Mask: An simple menpo made of black lacquered metal, light on material and obviously designed more for style than actual protective properties. Persona: Chiyome Mochizuki was a noblewoman as well as a legendary kuniochi of the Sengoku Era. At the behest of Daimyo Shingen Takeda, she recruited and trained hundreds of women to become ninjas to serve as a spy network. In her guise as Hitomi's persona, she appears as a tall, feminine figure covered in plates of carved ivory. She wears a dark blue kimono with short sleeves and a tattered lower fringe that end just above the knees. Her face holds a severe feature and it's expression does not change. It's eyes are a pair of smooth emerald gemstones in an almond shape and the Persona has ankle length, bright red hair that frames her face in a hime-cut style. When Chiyome uses spells, the Persona makes a the 'hand seals' motions traditional in popular culture. When it uses a physical attack, its right arm partially splits open to reveal a long slender hidden blade or projectile launcher. ~Name: Chiyome ~Arcana: Moon ~Drain: ~Weak: Earth ~Null: ~Reflect: ~Resist: Dark ~Skills: Analysis, Poisma, Dormina, Mudo Have you read all the stickies? Maybe I did, Maybe I didn't, who's to say? Edited by Nonsequitur, Apr 3 2017, 04:06 AM.

I'm not personally seeing any issues! My only concern is that since this is your ninth character, you might have issues juggling everyone, but you're also everywhere on site, so I don't think that'll be toooo much of a problem. So you've got my approval. |
