Name: Takeru Yukimura Gender: Male Age: 17 Class: Reitaku 2-F Clubs/Occupation: Pretty much any sports club that involves a ball, track and field, kendo, and oddly gardening Personality: Takeru is a very selfless and generous person, always trying to help others in need even if it means causing harm to himself. He is very independent as well as skilled domestically and athletically; his skills include cooking, cleaning, and is quick to learn many sports naturally. He often acts on his heart rather than his mind, ignoring common sense for the sake of doing what he thinks is right. He’s weaker academically as he tends to focus more on clubs and work. He tends to act carefree and rolls along with whatever situation he’s in. Takeru’s not afraid to stand for something he believes in, often acting rather compulsive. He doesn’t think much about consequences before acting, usually opting to do what comes naturally to him. Though, he’s not completely without tact and he doesn’t act blindly. He won’t help people who have wronged others out of virtue. He's extremely loyal to his friends and looks out for others impetuously. Takeru also possesses a need to help others no matter what. While he looks out for those around him, he hates having others be concerned over him. He tends to keep his personal problems to himself no matter what, often dancing around any chance to let people come over his home so he can avoid them seeing his below average living conditions. Even though he is naively honest, he often lies about his father saying that he’s in the police force to hide that he never had one. History: Takeru’s family was always on the lower end of the social class. Living in a 3LDK was a dream of luxury for the young man. His mother, Saya Yukimura, was pregnant with him during her third year in high school. She had no choice but to drop out of high school when this happened. Takeru never knew his father. His mother never got to wear that dress. She was in a dedicated relationship, but things happened before he was born and in the end she and Takeru’s father had to separate. Takeru never bothered to ask the specifics. His mother would never have answered anyway. Despite it all, his mother worked hard to raise him, taking on multiple jobs. Without needing to name specifics, there were certainly plenty of occupations that a young woman her age could’ve taken that alone could give them enough money of expenses and then some, but she made it a point to never fall to such standards. Instead, she always worked hard and was always honest. Takeru didn't know squat about his father and he never tried to find out. Being raised in a single parent, lower class household, he grew up fairly independent. At a young age, he gradually developed cooking, cleaning, and other skills fitting a domestic engineer. Together with his mother, he never had any complaints about his life or how much hard work he had to do. He was always outgoing and positive and just like how he always looked out for and protected his mom, he looked out for others. Things were fine, but around his first year in high school, his mother suddenly fell ill. The doctors discovered that she had anemia after all the years of hard work and she became fatigued easily now. The treatment and living expenses weren’t going away on their own, so Takeru took the rest of the school year to work in various places, lying about his age so that he can support him and his mother during their time of need. As a result, he was held back a year. Just before he resented himself to spending another year working, his mother’s health got better and despite protest she convinced him to go back to school and she went back to work. Despite this rather prominent speed bump in his academic career, what he was more disappointed in was his mother straining herself for his sake again. In fact, he was disappointed that he went back on track. Time spent time learning useless things in class that could be spent earning money. Time was expensive. College was expensive. Takeru knew that his mom was barely keeping the house together as it is. If he went to college, she’d have to work that much harder. Even if he did go to college, he wouldn’t know what to do if he did. He just couldn’t figure what he ultimately wanted to do with his life, whether it was pursue a dream of his own or go straight into the labor force to take care of his mother. Appearance: His bleached hair and compulsive disposition makes him appear like a delinquent, but it is betrayed by his young face and a friendly smile towards almost everyone. His tanned skin is a light chestnut color and he possesses the lean but sturdy build of a natural athlete. He dresses casually in a t-shirt and jeans, either with a light hoodie vest or an aviator jacket. It's hard to tell his clothes came cheap from a clearance basket from various used clothing stores. Takeru Yukimura Weapon: IDK Mask: Persona: Ivan the Fool is a stock character of the lucky fool in Russian folklore. When he appears in stories, Ivan The Fool is usually portrayed as either a peasant or the son of a poor family. Despite this, he always works hard no matter the task. Unlike typical heroes, it is Ivan's simplicity and lack of guile that turn out to help him in his adventures. For example he listens to his heart, rather than his mind, he easily forgets offence and endeavors to help others even at his own expense. His naivety, kindness and daring help him fight villains, make friends, win princesses' hearts and ultimately he is rewarded with half a kingdom or some similar accomplishment. appearance ~Name: Ivan the Fool ~Arcana: I The Magician ~Drain: ~Weak: ~Null: ~Reflect: ~Resist: ~Skills: Cleave, Magna, Garu Have you read all the stickies? Well I hope I did, this is like my 5th character. Edited by Yamato Kurokami, May 26 2016, 09:45 PM.

Hmmm, I want more out of his personality? Could you perhaps build off the foundation you have here? I like the work you did on the art for Takeru and his Persona. I'd also say that perhaps Strength could work for the Arcana, over Magician? |

I still think Strength fits better than Magican, but I don't think it's a big enough margin to require changing. Approved. |
