"Yup, which Is why Nasa almost has that, they already made galactic tours and planning to colonize mars...Plus they found a lot of planets that resemble or have the same air and type of materials as earth...I don't know about you, but If this earth ever ends...You know where I'm going." Momoe said smirking at the last part as Tohru felt Ayano's sadness about getting strange looks at school should they ever talk about these kinds of topics. "Yeah...School life's shit." Momoe said as she looked around to see If anyone caught that...When It was safe she looked back at Tohru and Ayano.

"Pardon, my language...But I'm just laying the hard truth." Momoe said to the two as she decided to start another supernatural topic since the three were still in line and were still not moving near the counter since Ayano displayed interest, this time, Momoe decided to include her in this discussion since she'll most likely to know because she was about to join It.

"So Ayano...Heard anything about Rokujima since your about to join It? Mainly any urban legends or sightings of the supernatural?"

"Chuunibyou, eh?" Ayano mused at the word. "It's a shame interests such as these don't appeal to many. Then again, it takes believers and those willing to persevere in proving them to be true."

When asked abut any oddities at Rokujima, Ayano let out a soft chuckle and shook her head.

"I'm afraid not as of yet," she said. "After all, I'm only starting my first semester there this school year."

She then paused for a moment and pressed on her chin with her finger.

"My grandmother is a professor there, however," she said. "So she might know a bit or two about such matters. I wish you the best of luck, however, on your journey. If you're interested in something, do you perhaps know about the pseudoscience of morphic fields?"

Tohru listened as Ayano and Momoe talked about Rokujima. He couldn't help but agree with Ayano as she talked about how the public perceived people who held interests in the same fields that they did. While he listened, the cashier spoke to him.

"Sir? All of your items have been scanned." He said. "That will be 1000 yen."

"Oh. Of course." Tohru said, then went on to pay for the books. He took the bag filled with books and stood aside to let the line advance, then turned back to Ayano and Momoe.

"I've read a bit about morphic fields." He said. "I'd say that the exact functions of these fields could hold similarities to stem cells. Both involve the differentiation of cells and having them assigned a specific function within the organism, after all. Though, that's probably just my thoughts on it."

Momoe listened to Ayano as she simply told the girl that she was about to start the semester there and so doesn't know much about the oddities there...Yet. "Oh...In that case, whenever we meet again, which will hopefully be when the semester starts, please tell me If you found anything...Odd, at that place...Because I'll start investigating before you can sa---However before Momoe can finish, the cashier called for Tohru as he paid for his things before speaking to the girls again, mainly at Ayano about organisms.

Momoe decided to listen close in case she can manage to but In on the two's discussion and add her two cents on the matter...Of organisms, mainly the morphic field, when she finally did have a chance, she wasted no time in asking a question. "Can It lead to...Diaster?" Momoe said to the two, waiting for them to answer, "The morphic fields I mean." Momoe said grinning in the process.

"By the way...Can I pay next?"

Ayano made room to allow Momoe to pay.

"By all means, please do," she said. "You got here first, after all."

The girl smiled at Tohru's definition of morphic fields.

"Well, actually, the ones I'm talking about aren't those of biology," she said. "Rather, I was talking about the Rupert Sheldrake ones. Morphic Resonance is another term. It's a process whereby self-organising systems inherit a memory from previous similar systems. In its most general formulation, morphic resonance means that the so-called laws of nature are more like habits. Trying to not go into detail, it basically says that biological systems can 'resonate' memories. Of course, there's no real scientific evidence to back it up, but it does raise a bit of conspiracy and it's best demonstrated in a series of experiments performed."

Ayano raised one finger up.

"For example, an experiment a long time ago had to do with an optical illusion. A random group of people were selected for it and had very different opinions about what it was. It was then revealed to them that the picture was actually a dog. Now, fast forward time onto a different place with new people who never heard of the experiment had to do the same and this time a significant number of people said it was a dog. Now, this could be purely coincidence but several more experiments wherein a species learns something and a different set know this on the first try tried to prove morphic resonance. Imagine if such a thing existed? There'd be a whole new definition to espers. If such a power was also controllable, then, yes, it could lead to disaster."

Ayano then chuckled.

"But it's far from being proven. Sorry if I talked on like that. I'm just yammering about a bunch of random stuff I learn. Such as the fact our consciousness doesn't really exist and rather we're just a series of slices in time and the possibility that motion is an illusion."

Tohru listened as Ayano explained her definition of morphic fields. He had not realized the concept like that before, especially not the concept of espers. Granted, an ability to control people's memories would create a lot of chaos and hysteria. No doubt about that. He couldn't help but feel enthused by the conversation.

"I always felt the same way about things like motion and such. Especially gravity." He said. "Like, is the Earth really pulling us towards itself or are we pulling the Earth towards ourselves? And is time really moving forward or is space just moving backward? Will there ever be a point where the Earth and the Universe ever end simultaneously?"

His eyes widened as he pondered this thought, he then held up his hands.

"How would the universe end, if it ever ends?" He said. "Would it stop expanding at some point and then just collapse in on itself? Or would it just keep expanding and expanding until all of the energy within it is used up, thus causing a heat death? Or, really, would the universe even expand at all?"

Tohru blinked for a moment as he thought about this.

"That would make space exploration all the more complicated."

Momoe listened as her question about Morphic fields were not answered, but at least she can next now, she bowed down to Ayano for her gratitude. "Thank you," Momoe said as she went to the cashier and paid her book with the yen she had...And to not listen to Tohru's depressing theory about the universe...Like It would collapse like that, oh please.

After paying for the book, Momoe walked back to Tohru and Ayano who were still talking about space travel and optical illusions, although Ayano's topic seemed to be interesting, she wanted to hear her own opinion about space travel. "Who knows If It will end like that...But It will sound interesting If It did...But that will most likely happen in five million years or so when the Human race Is already extinct because of selfishness or other bad habits that can lead to disaster thanks to humans like us." Momoe said...Before gulping at what she just said and looked at the two.

"But...That history lesson of Optical Illusions was great Ayano...San."

Momoe quickly blushed at saying the last part...She never really used honorifics before.

"Momoe-san is right, though. There's very little chance we'll know when such things happen, and when we find out, it'll no longer matter," she said. "Though, for one to ponder is a good thing. It proves we're more than mere organisms that respond to stimuli and needs. And no need to call me 'san', Momoe-san."

Ayano grinned widely and made a peace sign. "You can just call me Ayano. Or if you're up to it, Onee-chan. San makes me feel like I'm at another seminar."

The girl tossed her hair back and turned again to Tohru.

"Tohru-san, since you seem rather curious about matters of the universe, I think you'd probably enjoy a few of the reference materials I have. A lot focus on philosophy and metaphysics, but I have a few astrophysical ones as well."

Ayano went up to pay for her own book and remembered something.

"Oh, Momoe-san. I just remembered. There is some sort of strange thing going that I've heard around at Rokujima, though it's not isolated there. Rather, it has to do with the city itself. Have you...heard of magic people?"

Tohru blinked and shrugged as Momoe and Ayano contested his theory on the fate of the universe. In hindsight, he realized that humanity probably would be extinct long before either the Earth or the Universe ended. "I guess you're right." He said.

Tohru then smiled as Ayano offered him some reference materials that were written with the matters of the universe in mind. "That would be great. I'd love to read some of them sometime soon." He said, smiling.

Tohru's eyebrow furrowed in confusion as the next topic was brought up. "Magic people? Do you mean like magicians, wizards, witches, sorcerers, enchantresses and the like?" He asked. "I've definitely heard of those, but I'm not sure what they have to do with Nagashima."

As Ayano and Tohru talked, Ayano quickly corrected Momoe and said she can just call her Ayano or Onee-chan. "Uhh...I'll just call you Ayano, Onee-chan sounds weird," Momoe said to Ayano as the girl offered to give Tohru material about the matters of the universe, sparking Momoe's interest. "Oh...I want to know about the matters of the universe to." Momoe said to the two as Ayano turned back towards Momoe again.

To tell her something about Rokujima, mainly about magical people.

"Magical people?" Momoe said sounding confused, why would there be magical people in a place like this, It's a bit obscure even to her as Tohru sounded confused on the term magical people.

"Yeah, sort of like that Tohru, but Ayano, why in Rokujima exactly...Is there a spot In which they practice their magical powers around Rokujima...And If so, how do you know there real?"
