One would think that the comment Gwyn made seemingly went over Yuu's head, after all, the abrasiveness of Gwyn wasn't a mystery to her. On behalf of trying to harbor a more civilized atmosphere, she opted to not comment about it. She was however, about to comment on Asuka's words, already giving her a silent stare that'd probably unnerve someone, especially because Yuu still had her smile present. When suddenly, Gwyn placed an arm around both Asuka and Taisuke, something that even she could see it was not the best more to perform. And as seen by Asuka, it was indeed not a good idea. Yuu merely stared at how her combat stance slowly went back to normal, and then she ultimately accepted the offer. "Most excellent. You shall not regret this." She said, as the group was finally assembled for a snack. "So, Branson-san, which place do you suggest we should go?" |

Gwyn had gotten a bit lost in the moment, the prospect of two new friends (maybe a new disciple in Taisuke's case) having riled her up, but she relented when it became apparent the two weren't exactly as hands-on as she was. "Sorry, sorry, I forgot myself in the heat of the moment," she said, turning around to the two to apologize properly as a sheepish grin escaped her, before turning back around. "Of course! If you want, I'll cover you as well. After all, I offered to already, didn't I? In fact, you may wish to take me up on the offer..." she added, glancing over her shoulder at Asuka. "Well, let's go!" It was a short trek until they came across a parfait parlor; not just any, mind you, but a rather up-scale one. How up-scale? Well, for starters, as soon as they walked in, a chorus of young male voices greeted them. "Welcome! ... Ah, is that Gwyn-sama I see?" one of the young waiters said, coming over to the group. "A-A-Ah, h-hello Minato-kun!" Gwyn instantly turned red, giving a weak chuckle as she did. Her speech instantly changed back to her usual proper tone. "You're back again... but with friends, this time," he said, giving her a soft smile. "I'm happy for you." Once he set down the menus, he excused himself to give them time to order. Gwyn, of course, had invited Taisuke to sit next to her. "Uhuhu... This is most definitely the prized jewel of this Tanjiro center. I encountered it after a shopping trip to cheer myself up from the student elections... It's ingenious, isn't it? After wearing yourself out searching for something to buy, you can come here and relax to such delicious treats, not to mention the staff are all exceptional gentlemen who will happily listen to your troubles." There were a few things to note about this place; for starters, Taisuke was the only male in the place not wearing a butler-esque uniform. Every other patron was a woman, most in their 20's and 30's, with a few groups of high school girls scattered here and there sharing a parfait. That was, of course, because... "Might I recommend the Melon Parfait?" Gwyn asked once they were sitting down and looking at the menus. Each parfait was rather expensive, though with a guarantee that it all came from the high-class fruit parlor next door. The parfait Gwyn suggested apparently used a melon priced over there at about 20,000¥. The parfait itself was more "reasonably" priced at 3,000¥. "Get what you want, it's my treat," she added, making sure the object she had been carrying was carefully hung up on the wall next to them before giving the menu a look over. She seemed nonplussed at the fact that despite this being a parfait parlor, one couldn't help but feel that this also might've been a host club on the side. Particularly because off in the corner was a wall full of wine bottles with names written on them. Proudly set up in the middle and standing out was a bottle of sparkling apple cider, non-alcoholic of course, with Gwyn's name elegantly written on the sticker covering its front. There was a story to that, but that was a story for another day. |

With Asuka reluctantly agreeing, it seemed this was awkwardly happening. That was…well, it wasn't really good. It also wasn't really bad and that was the most Taisuke had ever asked for in a situation. So he withheld any complaints. At least until he got a good look at the establishment that Gwyn was taking them to. He probably should have known something like that would have happened when they went in the opposite direction from the food court. "…" He did a double take around the place, looking for hidden cameras. But nope, Gwyn was apparently quite sincere. She went right ahead about the parfaits and warmly greeted the staff and he could take no more. Taisuke leaned in and whispered to Gwyn in his most diplomatic voice. "Branson-san. You are aware this is a host club, right?" He was never listening to Aunt Hinata's advice again. So long as he lived. |

Yuu's stare didn't faze Asuka all that much; in fact, it only made her eyebrow in a rather challenging manner. If Yuu had a problem, might as well come right out and say it. Asuka hated it when someone beat around the bush, or was passive aggressive. It was cowardly in her eyes. She didn't say yes or no to Gwyn's suggestion of covering her meal. She still had a little money left over from her allowance, and it was probably a good idea to spend it all before she was grounded... But then again she could probably spend the rest on something else, like prolonging her escape on the arcade. Yet to make up her mind, she followed. Of course, her weirdness alarms were newly rung as soon as they arrived to what seemed to be like a host club. She just shrugged. "Eh, been to weirder places before. Then again, you have to be pretty desperate to even go into one..." The younger girl, whose name she already forgot, was into some kinky stuff, wasn't she? Starting young, too. When noticing the prices, she scratched her forehead. "...Dude, one parfait here costs almost more than my monthly allowance..." She had to save up for three months for the two items she just got after all, and she gripped them tighter more reflexively, thinking they're worth gold at that point. "...Yeah, no way I'm even paying for a crumb here." |

When they were on their way, Yuu saved the book inside her pocket, and wondered what sort of place would Gwyn take them. Turns out, they were to spend the next minutes in a Host Club, in which Gwyn was apparently more than ecstatic about, if one of her greeting to the waiters was anything to go by. Personally, she didn't exactly mind being there. Her preference where the quieter locations, but even she had to admit, the waiters where rather handsome. Once the table was selected, Yuu sat across Gwyn and next to Asuka, as she inspected what the menu had in store. And just as the place suggested, the prices were indeed pretty costly, even for parfaits. "Yeah, I believe I underestimated how much these would cost... But if you insist Branson-san, then..." She began, trying to search something good to eat. "... The strawberry Parfait." Setting the menu down, she looked at Gwyn for a moment and asked "Student elections? Is it perhaps the Taiyoutono student elections, where I heard things turned quite awry?" Yuu asked, wondering what could have happened to Gwyn to land on a place like... This. Then again, she probably felt more at home with a bunch of waiters serving her. |

Gwyn, in an exceptionally good mood now that she'd gotten them onboard her plan, turned to Taisuke and gave him a brilliant smile as he voiced his concerns. That smile never faultered, even as she said something that, well, honestly wasn't too surprising. "A what club? Taisuke-kun, this is a Parfait Parlor." Of course she didn't know what a host club was. For all she knew, these young men were just the nicest staff she'd ever encountered... was what she wanted them to think. Gwyn knew damn well where they were at, but that was an awkward conversation she desperately wanted to avoid. "There's nothing wrong with Parfait Parlors, you know..." she added, glancing at Asuka before Yuu caught her attention. "Ah, excellent choice! That was the first one I had here as well, and it hooked me to this place," she explained, only to raise an eyebrow as Yuu brought up the election. "... E-Er, yes. It wasn't anything exciting, one of the young men running in it thought himself a mafioso-type, another used his brothers as a boy band, I think, then there was Fujiwara Seiji-kun and myself. Seiji-kun won, and... well, I was rather depressed from that and some personal events that had happened..." Gwyn trailed off, tapping her fingers against the table impatiently as she seemed to be debating something internally. Finally, she slapped her gloved hands down on the table, her eyes scanning the three. "T-Tch, you know what? I barely know any of you, so I'm just gonna` say it! I'm trying to turn over a new leaf, after all! I was crushed! I'd just met my brother, who I didn't even know existed before then, AND whose romantic life was vastly superior to my own! The boy I loved couldn't even look at me as a woman or acknowledge my feelings, my best friend has been so busy lately that we never meet anymore, and nothing was going right! It... It was a shitty time!" she said, resisting the urge to cover her mouth. Sure, she occasionally cursed in German, but never in a language other people around her could understand. It was something she'd have to get used to, if she was going to pull off her next style! "... I couldn't even help a girl who needed my help. She wouldn't even accept it. I felt weak again, and I hated it. So, I decided I was going to change myself again, just like the last time this happened." By now, Gwyn was staring down at the table in front of her, her feet dangling under it as she tried to keep a cool head on about the situation. Opening up to others like this... didn't feel comfortable to her, but that was a part of the whole changing thing she'd get over, in time. Hopefully. "... Sorry for babbling like that. As I said, pick whatever you want, it's my treat," she finally said, rubbing at her eyes a bit before smiling at the three again. "It's the least I can do after venting like that." Firstly, Taisuke didn't even like parfaits. When he wanted fruit, he wanted fruit and he preferred his ice cream or yogurt by itself. He was hoping for something simpler and tasier. A steamed bun? Some french fries with mayo? Maybe even some noodles but definitely not overpriced sweets served to him by "Um, er…nevermind, then." He was clearly defeated. How could she not know what kind of place this was? She was either really oblivious or some kind of naive kid. …well, if you looked at it like that, her attempts to be overly adult and cool kind of… Well, that fell apart when she actually shared a bit about herself. Much to Taisuke's surprise, he could absolutely relate to trying to completely change oneself to try and get over a hard time. That was essentially what he did right? "Gwyn-san, I had no idea…" Of course they had no idea. Yuu might have, but he and the…girl who still hadn't shared her name had just met her. Just the same, what she said struck a chord with him. He wasn't so much wishing he was anywhere else than where he was than feeling sympathy for the girl, and her plight. He had no idea who any of those other people were, but he understood heartbreak. He understood the need to reinvent. "If you'd like, I could help you." …that didn't change the fact that he really didn't like parfaits much. |

"I guess I'll have the... uh... mixed berry parfait? Or whichever really, not like I actually can get one of these every day." Asuka shrugged, having no real preference between the various fruits. She was more of a junk food person anyway, sweets weren't her jam. '...Jam is sweet though... God damn it.' Asuka perked up slightly once hearing the magical word 'Taiyoutono'. Since she would be enrolling in that school in the upcoming year, she was curious about the various ongoings of that school. Unfortunately, all the rumors she had heard thus far weren't exactly thrilling. Gwyn seemed blissfully oblivious to what kind of place they were in (which made her question her mental faculties) and immediately proceeded to go on a rant which Asuka easily deemed to be 'way too fucking much information'. Regardless, given that she was effectively paying for the treat, the first year felt obligated to return the favor via helping out the situation. "I'm gonna go ahead and assume your goal wasn't to win, but to actually make the school a better place." She asserted, referring to the Student Council elections. "If that's the case, why not join that Fujiwara guy's Council? If you're capable you might influence the student body in some manner anyway instead of moping around in defeat." Regarding love and friends, given her inexperience in either - not total, mind you -, she had no productive opinion to voice. |

"So I heard, one of them apparently tried to strongarm one of the candidates to retire, but things didn't go well in the end." Yuu said, when Gwyn gave the quick summary of what happened internally. But then, Gwyn began a long winded explanation about her apparent lastest misadventures in life. Taisuke expressed his concern over it, while Asuka was giving her one possible way to continue her aim at the council. "She is right, if you aimed to make the school a better place, maybe you can try joining as a mere members. Despite the smaller role, your part can be just as important as the presidency itself." Yuu said, adding to Asuka's comment. "In fact, maybe that will give you an edge for the next student council, as you'd have more experience in handling such sensitive affairs than anyone who was not a member." |

Gwyn blinked in surprise at Taisuke's words, her cheeks flushing up a bit. Help her? How could he help her... wait, was this some sort of offer to help out her love life?! "A-Ah, I'd love that, I really would, b-but Papa always told me 'don't beg for it, earn it'!" she stammered, quickly covering up her surprise with a grin. The other two, of course, focused more on the school, which gave Gwyn a chance to recollect herself. Finally, a boy who was assertive (or so she thought)! "Er... w-well, yeah, I would like to help the school... but, well, I can't say that my goals are so perfectly noble. The truth of the matter... is that I wanted a way to make friends with as many people as I could. My goal in coming to high school was to make friends," she stated, looking back up at the three. "Until I came here, I... didn't exactly have anything like that. Before coming to Nagashima, I accompanied my mother and father on travels throughout the world, so there was hardly ever time to befriend someone, and then the one time I did... he stopped writing to me one day. That's why losing made me so frustrated; I lost in trying to win Seiji-kun's heart, and... it came at the same time I've felt like two of my closest friends have been drifting away from me. I'm... I'm not a child, I know nothing lasts forever, but I didn't want things to change so soon, you know? Things were going so well!" she complained, smacking a fist lightly onto the table. The table, in response, shook a bit. "... A-Ah, there I go again, babbling. Sorry, sorry, that's a strawberry parfait, a mixed berry parfait, and... er, Taisuke-kun, what did you say you were having? ... A-Also, despite what Papa says, he always told me to never turn down the kindness of others. I'm willing to hear your... p-proposal." Edited by Gue, Apr 10 2016, 01:20 PM.
