You've just sat around playing video games since you got here! It's a beautiful day, Taichan! Go out there and make some friends!

Aunt Hinata was just so cheerful and insistent, that he couldn't deny her. Well, saying 'no' was always an option, but he was loathe to say it for no good reason. And he really did need to get to know the place he was going to be living at from now on, right?

It wasn't as though he could have just stayed in the attic of Aunt Hinata and Aunt Keiko's place right up until school started. Right? Nah, probably not, he was already in Tanjiro, it was the point of no turning back.

He looked good! He always looked good. He cut a nice profile, and the blue-haired boy's jeans, white belt, yellow t-shirt with the English words: 'HIGH VOLTAGE' and white canvas loafers Were all picked out specifically to make a good first impression. On who? Whomever he happened to see.

Taisuke was meandering. Getting a better feel for Tanjiro. It was about the same as the mall back home, just everything was different, yeah?

In the meantime, Asuka Harada was all too happy to stay away from home. She hadn't stayed long enough to know if she was grounded for visiting her dad - had Mai even told those dumbasses, that is - and just exited her house as soon as she could. Not knowing the city in general, she decided to start with one of its landmarks: the Tanjiro shopping center.

And knowing she would have no other opportunity to spend money anytime soon, she took all of her allowance.

From exploring the first floor alone, she had already made two purchases! A book (Is Christianity Good for the World? - Christopher Hitchens translated version) and a videogame (Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD). She wasn't paying much attention to these though as she crossed the main area of the mall in a quick pace, blasting right past Taisuke as she went towards the escalator.

However, halfway through her path, she halted her step abruptly. She remembered that, indeed, Mai had stalked her all the way to Yuki's dojo. Reflexively, she looked backwards to see if she was being followed. Her gaze could easily be mistaken for doing a double take on the young man...

"Why Are We Here Again, Friend?" Mu asked Yuu in her regular giddy tone, causing Yuu's eyes to roll.

"Vigilance, Mu. We're keeping an eye out for any suspicious activity here."

Here being Tanjiro, were a lot of people came to shop the hours away. Since it was a hotspot for a lot of people, she has thought that keeping an eye out for any strange activity would be productive. Her current priority was trying to get more information about that mysterious group of people bent on killing off any Persona User, but besides that, she was willing to attend to the aid of anyone that needs it.

Plus, catching a criminal in such a public location will get her recognition for future cases, so it's a win-win.

To do that, she was sitting at one of the benches of the mall, reading a mystery novel. She was both reading and looking out for something out of place, allowing her to not raise any awareness. "But This Is Boring! Hey, Why Don't We Go To The Arcade Again?" Mu asked, doing a pout.

Yuu was about to protest when her eye caught someone walking around, followed by a girl that got nearby and suddenly looked at him. She seemed, annoyed by something? Since Yuu was a few feet away from the situation, she decided to keep the cover and observe them, pondering what was going to happen from that.

"Oh, hello?"

Just because he looked good didn't meant that he knew how to react to the attention he was getting at all. A polite smile was all he usually offered. This time seemed a bit different. It was more with intent than just some girls he passed by giving him sidelong, smiling glances and giggling about it among their friends. She was looking right at him and that was much harder to just brush off.

"C-can I help you…?"

As the boy a few steps in front of her spoke up, Asuka found herself snapping out of her inspection, shaking her head in an effort to do so. "Um, what?"

It was apparent that Mai was nowhere to be found - that was a good thing. She made a mental note that she glanced his way attentively on pure accident. Perhaps that was what threw him off?

"Not really, sorry about that." She waved the apology. Either she had been completely enraptured by his looks, or the exact opposite was true and she didn't notice one single thing about it.

'Great going, Asuka, just creep people out on your first week why dont'cha...'

"Now this is an interesting development."

If Taisuke and Asuke were too look at a side, they'd realize that Yuu was now standing next to them, her arms crossed with one hand holding her book. The tip of her fedora obscured her eyes a bit, although if they were to pay attention, they'd notice she was looking at Asuka. Her own grin did not fade, as she was about to present her case.

"I have come to notice that you seemed to be in a hurry. And then the sudden halt and ogling of this stranger came completely out of nowhere, such are the signs of paranoia." Yuu began, her voice souding rather flat. "Is there something you are running away from, miss?"

"Oh…I-I see. Sorry!" He couldn't keep eye contact with the girl. He averted his gaze somewhere to the side and had a plastered-on smile when it dawned on him just how much of a fool he was making himself. Ah, this wasn't good, dad always told him to look someone in the eyes when you were talking to them.

He um…also said to always be fair with all your dealings too so…perhaps it was okay if he didn't follow his advice exactly? At least this once?

Then a girl in a fedora interjected into that sad excuse for a conversation he was having with the girl and her deductions and seemed to be clearly enjoying herself doing so. Meanwhile, Taisuke had taken a step back and had a deer in the headlights look in his eyes as he glanced from one girl to the other.

"Um…it seems you too have something to talk about so I think I'll just be on my way then. N-nice meeting both of you?"

As the sound of another person's voice reached her ears, Asuka reflexively turned her head to where it came from, and noticed another girl standing there. Odd. Why did their exchange draw so much attention? She ruled it out as them seeing the awkward stare, which earned a self scolding in the back of her mind.

"Hello. I'm not in a hurry, I just tend to walk fast." She explained, used to getting that sort of line. "I was just looking to see if a certain someone was following me. She isn't, so I'm fine."

Wait, why was she even explaining herself to strangers?

Before she could pursue that line of thought, Taisuke seemed to be wiggling his way out of there, looking nervous. "Hey, hey. Relax. I don't think any of us wants to bite your head off or anything."

"It's that so." She said, as he heard Asuka's reason to walking the way she did. So she was escaping someone? But whom? And why? "Are you in any danger perhaps? Being stalked by someone?"

But even if she was too enthralled with her questions, she noticed how the mysterious man was apparently trying to bail out of this. "And what are you running away from? We are completely harmless, aren't we?" She said, in a way agreeing with Asuka's assessment. He did seem too anxious to leave the scene before anything could be solved, would that mean there was something else going on between these two? Perhaps it was him who she was running away from?

"You know... I'm not one to really... talk about the love lives of kids and all..."

"But?"

"... Aren't you taking this whole 'rejection' thing a little far?"

"There's nothing wrong with changing one's image, and this has nothing to do with that."

"Well, yeah, but most people change their image to something contemporary. This type of getup hasn't been in style since... like... the 80's."

"... Old fashions are good too."

"... Whatever, just don't get all confused when people stop taking you seriously, y'know?"

It was that conversation that had resulted in Gwyn separating herself from Walker for a bit. Under normal circumstances, he'd tell her to get over it and keep accompanying her, but, well, the Branson family was a little on edge after news of Gwyn giving up on Seiji made it to the household, and drastic measures were being taken to let her mull about it all, even if she seemed in okay spirits. Even Walker would rather observe and report than risk setting her off and having to sit with her for the rest of the day, talking things out or whatever. So, Gwyn walked through the shopping center, one arm keeping the leather garment bag resting on her left shoulder from slipping. Sure, she was annoyed with Walker, but the utmost care was being taken in transporting her prized purchase, custom-tailored just right, so her grip was secure!

Which was good, because while she hadn't been paying attention to where she was walking, all deep in her thoughts, some total jerk bounced into her from the front! Fortunately for her, said jerk had bounced into someone who nulled physical, and so she stood there perfectly still as he bounced off, her eyes locking onto his. Unfortunately for Taisuke, she was still mad and that was all over her face, her eyebrows scrunched up and dark expression that only seemed to be enhanced by well-placed shadowing if he had the misfortune of getting knocked off his feet when they impacted. Gwyn clicked her tongue as her tightly-pulled lips separated at the right corner. She had caught herself before she apologized or assisted him, but this was a good chance to test out her whole work-in-progress thing.

Then she caught sight of the target in full. of course, Gwyn was, for better or worse, a bit vain, especially when it came to those whole "beautiful male-types". Whoever this guy was, he was lacking in Rin's feminine charm, but the bishounen edge was still working. Wait, how long had she been lingering on this thought? A solid few seconds, really, and finally, she began to speak.

"O-Oi..." she began, only to look up and spot the other two girls, one of whom was looking mighty familiar with a stylish hat, from the most recent trip to the ruins. "... O-Oh, hey, Yuu-kun. Who're your buddies?" she finally relented on her plans, instead relaxing as she focused on someone else who wasn't her type. Well, she still tossed a few glances, but still focused on Yuu and Asuka for now.
