Tomoyo looked extremely concerned. She hadn't taken the guy for being chipper so his shift in the personality was probably from the coffee, right? It was hard to tell which one, though. Did he die from the literal sweetness of Non-Racist Panda coffee and was reborn? Or was it the Black Death coffee's super high-concentration of caffeine? Oh...oh, dear. Meanwhile, Miharu had the smuggest grin upon seeing Trent energetic. He didn't die and he was rather alive instead. She rubbed her chin. "I know, right? It's the best thing that ever happened to me when I came to Nagashima," Miharu said. "Be careful, though. Too much and your superhuman abilities will backfire on you." She chuckled. "Joking aside, I was just worried it would affect you badly. But this isn't bad at all." "You just resurrected the lifeless," Ren said. "Of course it's bad." Miharu waved her little cousin off. "I'm afraid we weren't talking about much," Miharu said. She lifted a finger. "However, I'm glad you've taken a liking to the coffee. Since it didn't kill you, I'm sure you can purchase Death Wish coffee beans at the counter." Miharu looked around. "Do you want another cup by any chance? Or do you want to head out?" |

"Oh, no, no, it's not a bad thing at all, Ren-chan, this is amazing, and I want more, and it's amazing..." He continued tapping his foot against the floor at an ever-accelerating pace. One thing that was beyond strange was the fact that he'd actually called Ren by her first name and used a -chan honorific. Chances were that Miharu would notice it... Immediately as Miharu mentioned he could buy Death Wish coffee beans, Trent stood up. Rather harshly, mind you - he actually somehow managed to make both the chair and the table shift with his sudden movement. "I can? Can I? Can I buy them? I want to buy them. Where can I buy them? At the counter? I need to go to the c--" He was interrupted as he heard Miharu's question. "I am going to buy them. After I drink another cup." As rashly as before, he sat back down. "I want another cup. Another Black Death coffee cup. Please." The pale young man appeared to be becoming increasingly more agitated as time went. This isn't good... |

Ren's body stiffened upon being called "-chan" by Trent and she pouted furiously. "This guy's definitely not right in the head," Ren stated. "Sedate him now." "Eh?" Miharu said. "But look at him! He's so happy! I've never seen Proctor-san this chipper." Tomoyo, who had been staring quietly all the while, tapped Miharu and glanced at Trent nervously. "Mi-chan, I think I'm going to have to side with Ren on this one," she said. "Um, Proctor-san, why don't we all just sit down and--no, wait, you'll just get restless. How about we ditch this place and go for a nice calming walk in order for the caffeine to wear down." Miharu clasped her hands together. "Great idea! Let's get Proctor-san's coffee beans and be on our--" "We're not getting him more coffee!" Ren and Tomoyo exclaimed in unison. However, the counter was right there and Trent could easily just zip out while they were still talking. |

"A walk? Did you just say a walk?" Once more, Trent got up from his chair. He was still shaking. "Because I can go for a walk. I can enjoy a walk. I can walk. Let's go for a walk. I like walks." His head turned towards the counter rather suddenly. "But before..." In a rather staggering display of agility and dexterity, Trent made his way through the group and then skillfully weaved between the people in the coffee shop at the highest speed he could, making his way to the counter. He somehow got there without bumping into anyone, but he left a trail of very confused bystanders behind. Once at the counter, he began tapping his fingertips against it, waiting for someone to take his order. "Hello. I want a coffee. Death Wish. I want a Death Wish. Coffee beans. I will buy. Coffee." Something was very wrong... |

"Um..." Trent would feel Tomoyo's hands on his shoulders. Pulling him back from the counter, she smiled sheepishly at the new person in charge. "Sachi, I think it's best we don't give him that yet," she said grinning. "Huh? But why?" Miharu asked from behind. Tomoyo turned around and frowned at Miharu. She pointed to Trent's face, which appeared to be extremely chipper. "Mi-chan, if you ever dream of being in the medical career, then you should know this guy's not doing well," she said. She turned to Trent and smiled sweetly. "Hey, Proctor-san. Why don't we go out for a walk. They're still restocking, so we can just pick up the beans on your way back, okay?" "I'll put on my rollerblades again," Miharu said happily. "NO! Tomoyo and Ren yelled at Miharu again. Miharu pouted. Her head dropped and the three ushered Trent out no matter what his response. The day was a little brighter now, which made the weather slightly warmer. "Proctor-san, how are you feeling? You don't feel palpitations or anything? Shakiness?" |

"Huh? What's happening? Something's happening." Trent felt some pressure on his shoulders as Tomoyo placed her hands on them. He tried turning his head around to see what was happening, but he could only hear what they were saying. "Why can't I have coffee yet? I like the coffee. I have a money. You want money. I can give you money for coffee. Problem solved." The waitress(?) proceeded to explain something to Miharu. "Oh? But I am doing well. I am doing better than ever. I like coffee. I want to have coff--okay, we can go for a walk. I like walks." Apparently, the coffee he had just drank had had a rather intense effect on his thought process, simplifying it to an astonishing degree. The pale young man didn't put up resistance as he was practically pushed out of the store. It appeared to be that Tomoyo worried for his well-being... "I feel like I'm shaking. Look." He rose his hand and showed it to Tomoyo, demonstrating that his fingers were trembling quite a bit. "But it feels good and nice. I'm okay. I am good. I'm ok." This was going to be... interesting, to say the least. |

"Uhuh..." Tomoyo said as she kept both hands on Trent's arms from behind him. "Mi-tan, why don't we just bring Proctor-san home or something?" Miharu tilted her head. "Eh?" she said. Tomoyo looked at Trent warily. While she was usually the reckless one in the group, she knew when bad news was bad news. "Well..." Miharu sighed. "Come on, he's not drunk or anything," Miharu said waving her off. "And if he's hyper we should let it wear off. If we sent him anywhere with four walls, he'll probably go mad." Miharu turned to Trent and smiled. She placed her hands behind her and chuckled. "Hey, Proctor-san, since you're feeling awake, do you have anything you want to do in particular? Arcade games? Sightseeing?" Ren looked at Miharu blankly. "You do realize we were supposed to deliver these home the instant we got them, right?" she asked flatly regarding the coffee beans. |

"Ok, you can take me home. Home is nice. I don't have anything to do but home is still nice. Home." Soon after, he was asked by Miharu if there was something in particular he wanted to do. "Arcade. There are games in the arcade. It is nice. We can go. It will be fun. Nice." Perhaps it would be a disaster when they got there but, who knows? It might also be fun. Not for the actual characters, mind you. |

Tomoyo tilted her head. "I guess it's to the arcade then," Tomoyo said easing up a little. They could at the very least try to wear him out. That would be a good thing, right? ... What? It's not like you've been of any help! Tomoyo thought angrily at her rather absent Persona. Miharu on the other hand seemed thrill. "Oh, good! Ren loves the arcade. Don't you, Ren?" Ren crossed her arms. "The only game there worth playing is Time Crisis 4. House of the Dead series is too boring." "I thought Time Crisis 4 was boring," Miharu frowned. Tomoyo smiled at the two arguing and she patted Trent on the back. "Well, whatever the case, we're going to the arcade so Proctor-san can vent out his newfound energy." *** The four would arrive there and fortunately since it had just opened, it was rather empty. Tomoyo grinned. "Oh, great! Dance, Dance Revo's up again! You want to maybe bust some moves, Mister?" Tomoyo joked at Trent. |

Trent had not yet realized that something was very wrong with the way he was acting, but he was in a state of mind far too altered for he to care. "Ok. Arcade it is. I like the arcade. It's nice. It has games. I like games." Upon their arrival, it seemed to be rather empty, which gave them a rather good variety of games to choose from. Trent would have gone straight for the Bullet Hell cabinets the arcade had, if it wasn't because he heard Tomoyo make a suggestion - one he immediately accepted and took to heart. "Yes. I can bust a few moves. I can move my feet. Dance. I like." Although he certainly had the skills for it, he didn't like the dancing games too much, since they made him feel exhausted afterwards and he felt a little too showy when he played... however, he didn't care, and he wasn't really at risk of running out of energy now. The trembling wasn't decreasing with time - if anything, it had gotten worse. God knows what hell is going to break loose in the arcade... |
