"Me? I'm doing just fine~!" Even when she was at her most elated, Hanako was never that lyrical with her voice. But today? She was proving a point. "Been busy though, I'm afraid I can't stay long, but we should catch up!" She wasn't really going to get into the argument that Shou and Hideki were having. Instead she took the card as offered and glanced over it. She parsed the english letters once, then twice… …Oh! metalworks! "Huh, I work part time at the Ichiban Metalworks, Maybe we can set up some sort of professional correspondence?" She gave Noriko a more subdued smile than her usual attempts to rub salt in the wound caused by Trent's blunder. Maybe she could have stuck around a little longer. "When is the best time to contact you?" |

"...Well, okay then." Minoru tapped his chin thoughtfully as he looked over the unfolding shenanigans, a small smirk showing up at the sheer hyperbole of the situation. He gave Shou an approving look and stood up, vacating his seat. Really, he was expecting the Trent fellow to get more flak for his cafe-au-faux-pas, but at this point he had his fill, both of coffee and entertainment. It looked like their distinguished host wasn't interested in talking with him, nor was anyone else particularly. "Whoa there, angry. That looked like it hurt." Minoru stood up and walked over to the soda fountain, where he poured out a glass of water. As he passed by Hideki, he set the cup next to him. "I should probably head out. It was nice enough meeting all of you." |

Yes… I’d sell the souls of all humanity to the devil if I thought it’d get us a happy ending.

Noriko eyed the weird people after she passed her business cards out. Some took them immediately (those got the most of her attention) while Minoru and Shou didn't even pay attention to them. Welp, that was two cards that she saved then. Better than then throwing them away a few feet away from the table, so I guess I got that going for me. Probably didn't need their business anyway. ...Eh, that's a lie. Noriko let out a small sigh and continued to sip her free coffee while she silently observed them doing... their weird nerd things. Which mostly involved on the Hideki kid getting made fun of. Welp... there's my wonderful customer base right there. 'Ladies man' my ass. The Minoru guy seemed to be done with hanging around all these people though, and stood up to leave. Didn't bother her one bit. But when Hanako finally spoke up after reading her business card and suggested an... interesting proposition. "Ichiban... Metalworks?" she asked, lone eyebrow raised in visible contemplation. Huh... sounds pretty familiar. Pretty sure they're around town somewhere. Noriko stopped drinking her coffee and stared down into the murky liquid for a few seconds as she contemplated Hanako's offer. 'Professional Correspondence'... Definitely networking in a sense of the word, but I'm not sure what they'd be expecting. We got plenty of stuff to run without any issues, so I don't see what they'd be offering that we couldn't take on ourselves... Maybe share a customer base? The college student's visible eyebrow narrowed slightly as that thought crossed her mind. What, so they could steal ours? Hmmph. After a few seconds of silence on her part, Noriko looked back up and met Hanako's eyes. "Monday to Friday 3PM to 10PM, Saturday and Sunday 8AM to 9PM. Number's on the card." |

Unsurprised, Trent looked on at the exchange taking place between Hideki and Shou. He had no idea whether he was supposed to laugh or cry. Everyone else had already proceeded to continue talking, be it about the metalworking business or whatever topics they were touching on, but none of it interested Trent. Minoru had left, and he wasn't exactly sad about that. The pale young man had already zoned out, looking out through the window while sipping on his coffee. |

Of course, Hideki was too busy trying to recover from his burnt tongue to really pay attention to everyone. Thankfully Minoru gave him a cup of water to quell his ails. Carefully, he picked it and took a sip from it, trying to calm the pain, and even though his tongue was still sensitive and sore from the sudden gulp of hot liquid, at least it wasn't hurting as much now. "G-Geez Shou, don't you know things like that spread like fire? I don't want to have a misconstrued rumor about me fly across the city and beyond." He answered, doing a pout. He did raise an eyebrow at the 'don't take me seriously' comment. "Wait, why shouldn't I take you seriously?" Now he was confused. Edited by Silverion, Jun 7 2016, 11:21 AM.

Shou's eyebrow raised ever so slightly as Hideki expressed his odd fear of rumors. It was almost ridiculous to think that Hideki being a 'ladies man' would be a rumor that could "fly across the city and beyond." "I think you're exaggerating just a tiny bit." He took another sip of his coffee and sighed as the pun went RIGHT over Hideki's head. Tomoyo was a little better at this huh? "Never mind." He gave him one final grin and went back to his drink. Having to explain a pun ruins the pure and funny nature of said pun. At the very least Hideki's confusion had given him a momentary respite from Shou's teasing. Even if it wouldn't last too long.
