Miharu smiled and nodded. "But of course you do!" she said. "The kimono really flatters you and the colors go with your hair and complexion." She sighed happily. "It would be so cool if we could go to a festival with one another in these, hm?" Miharu's smile suddenly faded though and she winced. She turned around and started coughing. "S-sorry *cough*, the cold's still affecting me pretty badly," Miharu said turning back to Atsuko. She chuckled sheepishly. "If it weren't for missing school, I"d wish spring would just come up already." |

"And all the girls could envy us as we walk through!" Atsuko chuckled. Oh that would be fun! Making everything see them as these beautiful and elegant ladies. She knew she was envious when she women dressed like this. She was interrupted by Miharu coughing. "Woah, Senpai! Are you alright?" Atsuko asked. "And I thought I was prone to coughing firs. Good thing I haven had one in a little while." She didn't want one ever again. They sucked and we're a nuisance. Why would she ever want one? Atsuko smiled at Miharu's remark. "Might as well enjoy our time off! And believe me, I enjoy Reitaku, but it's nice to get away from it." |

Miharu chuckled at the girls envying them. "I suppose that can happen," Miharu said. Apparently Atsuko had thought of the end of school when Miharu mentioned school ending. She chuckled ruefully. "Yeah..." she murmured. She slowly turned to the window. "Oh, by the way, Suko-chan," she said. "I might visit Kanemasa, my hometown, soon. So I don't know if I'll be around during the rest of our time. But I'll try to keep in contact.' |

"Oh, how could you abandon me like that, Senpai?!" Atsuko cried. Then she giggled softly. "Just kidding!~" She sat down and smiled brightly at the girl. But why was she going now? Atsuko knew they were on break, but it was still a little disappointing. If she went, Atsuko wouldn't be able to hang out with her. "Will you have access to the Internet, or even a computer? If you do, I'll give keep in touch over Bedlam. Oh! And I'll keep you updated on anything Persona or Ruins related!~" Atsuko promised. She didn't want the girl missing anything important after all. But Atsuko raised an eyebrow at the girl. "I don't think you told me everything about Kanemasa, or anything. I don't remember. Care to tell me some facts about the place?" |

Miharu laughed sheepishly. "I don't know if our house there would have wifi or anything..." she said. "But I'll try to write from you from there. Hehe..." Miharu's voice faded and she lowered her head, smiling a little sadly. "Kanemasa?" she asked. "It's nothing really too grand. It's a lovely rural town in the countryside with lots of hills and rice fields. We often get tourists there since it's a breather from big cities. Of course, my family shrine is there, too. And we have such lovely sakura in the spring." She smiled sweetly at Atsuko. "It's a wonderful place to visit. Maybe you can even go there in the summertime just to see what it's like." |

"It certainly sounds lovely. Probably great for my lungs too!" Atsuko chuckled softly. She imagined going to such a cute town. It sounded like it would a wonderful experience for her. "I would love to go! But only if you go with me! I'm not going alone, and my family would rather work." "You mentioned your family owned a shrine? Sounds like a tough job." Atsuko said. "If you don't mind me asking, what's your family like?" |

Miharu smiled. "Of course I would," she said serenely. At the mention of her family, though, Miharu frowned. She touched her arm uneasily and shrugged. "Well...they're generally really nice people..." she said. "At least, my future family is going to be. My godmother and my future father-in-law are all very gracious. My grandmother...she's a bit of the opposite. But she's mostly in it for the interest of the village." That was a lie, of course. Akane's interests were always just Akane's own interests. She obviously had wanted to keep the family line in power in the village. In fact, Miharu found it odd she still referred to the Hamasaki's as future-in-laws when she no longer... But you never did stop it, now did you? Cassandra said in her mind. Miharu stiffened for a moment. Your godmother may act like you still have a choice, but do you really? Miharu closed her eyes and shook her head. She then chuckled at Atsuko and scratched her cheek. "Haha, I think the best way to put it is that they're all super formal but also polite." |

Atsuko frowned when Miharu mentioned her grandmother was only interested in the village, and that she wasn't the nicest person around. She thought grandmothers were the nicest people around. Well, her grandmother. "Your grandmother was only in it for the interest of the village? Surely she must of had other goals?" Atsuko asked softy. "Well, my family is a lot more laid back. My grandparents, when they were alive, had some traditional views, but their main goal in life was to relax and have fun. My mom's parents are similar, but I rarely see them. They live Yokohama." Atsuko explained. |

Miharu laughed ruefully at Atsuko's words. "Not my grandmother," she said. "She just cared about the family name. Which is funny considering she only married into the family herself. How strange they all are..." She did brighten up upon hearing about Atsuko's own family. She imagined it must have been nice to have such grandparents. Youko herself would make a nice grandmother, but the only way that would happen was if... Miharu closed her eyes and breathed out. She smiled brightly at Atsuko. "They sound like nice people," she said. "Life should be all about that: appreciating the fact you're alive and having fun, right?" Miharu did a once-over on her kimono again. "Alright, let's try the other ones for you, shall we?" she asked. "I should lengthen the hem of this for you, too." She'd wait for Atsuko to get ready to change before looking down at her hand and sighing. |

"Well km sorry you have her in your family then. A grandmother should love all her grandchildren. They should be their main priority, same with parents." Atsuko muttered bitterly. She had a surprisingly rare scowl on her face. It looked very unnatural on her. "Traditions are important, but a lot of people are just so frustrating. If they had their ways, I would be a submissive housewife with no authority in my family or community!" She chuckled sheepishly at Miharu. "Sorry, starting to rant. And thank you for that lovely comment." She said, her usual smile returning. Atsuko looked st the new kimono and giggled. It looked so gorgeous! As she was about to go back to Miharu's room to change, she saw Miharu looking down. "If you're having problems with something, or someone, Senpai. You can tell me, I'm your friend, and I'm not going to judge you for anything." Atsuko said softly before entering the room again. Edited by kempan98, Jan 23 2016, 01:27 AM.
