Ugly Crying
"That's so cool! Your mom sounds awesome!" Atsuko cheered. She usually heard that people like Hideki's mom always pushed kids to take similar jobs, but she thought it was great that she wanted her son to pursue filmography! If only every parent could be like that...

"Would you say we're friends, Hideki-kun?" Atsuko asked, her hands resting on her lap. It was a strange question, but a question. "I feel like we are, but the only things I really know about you is you have a Persona, and that you will probably find a career in filmography!" She let out a soft chuckle and smiled at the boy,

Hideki simply chuckled when Atsuko complimented his mom. He had a feeling she and her would be friends almost right away, since they both shared that sparkle of enthusiasm.

However, things took a different turn when she asked him the state of their friendship. He raised an eyebrow and gave her a confused look. "What do you mean Atsuko-san? Of course we are friends. You and many others saved me from becoming Shadow food back when I awoke, plus you are pretty kind and cool, I don't see why we wouldn't be friends." He answered, trying to give her a reassuring smile. "Yeah, we may not know everything about each other, but hey, it's not like we can't, right? You don't have to worry."

This was actually a first for Hideki, was she perhaps feeling insecure? The same girl that was 'pumped with adrenaline' back in his first Ruins run?

"Yeah. I'm just being paranoid about things!" Atsuko chuckled sheepishly. She never got the chance to speak with Hideki that often. Seeing how they went to different schools. They had limited time to just be friends. But she saw this as a chance to actually get to know him more.

"So, still liking Taiyoutono? I bet you have a couple admirers there!" She giggled softly. She imagined a bunch of girls following him around. It made her laugh thinking about it.

"Hehe, do you want me to call in Chinedu-san for a confidence boost?" Hideki joked as he held his phone. He actually didn't have his phone number, but hey, it was all on the spirit of teasing, right?

But then, the guns were not aiming at him. "Oh? Yeah, Taiyoutono is pretty neat. Definitely more demaning than my last school, but still pretty good! As for admirers..." He said, before trailing off, his thoughts suddenly going towards Mari as he began blushing a bit.

It was then when he realized that this was not going to go in a good direction, so he did his best to avoid it and change the subject. "I mean, uh, there's not much going on with that, haha, I'm still pretty new! But, what about you? How are things going on in Reitaku?"

"Pretty great! Art Club is awesome! And I joined the Fishing Club too! Chinedu-kun is in it, so I have a friend there with me!" Atsuko cheered. She wished all her friends were in the same clubs as her.

"As for me, I also don't have many admirers. But that's alright, I would prefer people to get to know me before they fall for me!" Atsuko giggled.

"Wait, Fishing Club? I had no idea you had interest in the fishes." Maybe Atsuko was some sort of camper and he didn't know about it. At least she didn't make any remarks for his answer, he was safe. "Yeah, I understand, who would want to date a stranger? Honestly, hehe." God, he only hope Mari wouldn't hear that.

"In any case, do you have something planned for the break? Graduation is drawing closer."

"Hehe! I went with my dad sometimes! But I joined because Hestia urged me to join another club, and their was a flyer advertising it." Atsuko explained. A wide grin on her face.

She smiled slyly as Hideki said he wouldn't want to date a stranger. "But there's always an adventure in it! Like you guys could soul mates! Or have the same last name! Oh! Or you might be long lost relatives!" Atsuko giggled cheerfully.

"Not much. Might hang out with some friends if I get the chance, pick up some more shifts at the restaurant. And I might go to the Ruins a few times." She replied.

"Oh my, that's pretty neat! Were you two able to catch big fishes?" He asked, wondering if they fished for sports or for food. It'd be nice if it was the former rather than the latter, although given how her family ran a restaurant, he feared those caught fishes faced a fate worse than just having a wound on their lips.

"Oh yeah, hehe, it would definitely be quite something if it I were to date a lost family member, hehehe." His laugh began sounding a bit forced, as he's yet to know if Mari was just someone with the same last name, or an actual lost relative. He'd have to ask his dad soon, just to be sure.

"Ah, cool! At least you'll be occupied in the break."
He said, before his face expression slowly turned from buoyant to one of longing, almost like if he was... Missing something. "You know, my family used to go on vacations for every spring break, since that was when my mom would have a break from work, but since we arrived to Nagashima not too long ago, it seems that we'll remain here this spring break. It's a shame, it would have been nice to return to Osaka, at least for a few days."

Why his hometown specifically? He was just there a few weeks ago. Well, there it resided something special to him.

"Actually, I joined just as the year was coming to a close, so not much fishing..." Atsuko replied with a sheepish chuckle. She didn't want to bother anyone while the last days were finishing up, that was bad for everyone. Besides, she could always call up Chinedu to go fish.

"Hehe! Don't worry, Hideki-kun! I don't think it's possible to be related to every Tachibana in Japan!" She laughed. The possibility was highly unlikely, but it would be a disaster if it was true.

"Well, if you ever get lonely, I'm usually here or at home! Just give me a text or show up, and I will usually be able to hang out for a bit!" She suggested. Atsuko loved the idea of spending time with a friend.

"Ooh, I see. Heh, it's kind of similar with me, I joined the drama club as soon as I got in Taiyoutono. Guess I'll have to wait for the next year to see how it unfolds." Hideki answered, wondering what sort of things would happen in that club.

And of course, he laughed with Atsuko about the Tachibana thing. He really, really wished Mari wasn't some sort of lost relative, or else things would get very awkward between them.

"Ah? That'd be neat! Although I don't want to be a bother, but I'll consider it." Atsuko seemed like a pretty nice girl, it'd be quite interesting getting to know her more. However, the sudden rumble of his stomach interrupted his thoughts.

"Oh yeah... When will the order come? I'm getting a bit hungry."
