Hideki Tachibana

~Seeking a Dead Redemption~
While he grew up being a withdrawn person, a relationship he had when he was 13 with Kasumi Yukimura, caused Hideki to make his way out of his shell. But because of the break out and subsequent departure of his ex, Hideki spiraled into a pit of self-guilt, to which he still suffers it's effect to this very day. Believing he was the reason she took her life, Hideki became even more self-conscious, to the point that he chastises himself due to thinking negative things about others. As such, his Shadow represents his more assertive, more rude, and more dashing side, turning it into a undesirable and obnoxious brat. To ascend, Hideki must comprehend that her death was not his fault, and forgive himself for never letting her memory go the proper way. But to descend, he has to be responsible for someone's death, or have his love life end in a very negative way.

Osamu Oshiro

~Becoming a Supernova~

Being a big dreamer and very active are two things that Osamu is naturally, he'd be out of his element without one of the two, but ever since he was born, his mother and uncle tried their best to syphon these attitudes away, in order to turn him into an intelligent, educated, and well presented member of society, a desire coming from their own natural upbringing, and fueled by his father's sudden departure. Now, the dream Osamu has is finishing college and having a prestigious job, but now that he's out of his family's very authoritarian eyesight, the more rebellious side of him began to surface, causing his responsible tendencies towards his studies get mixed with his more bouncy and unleashed personality. This conflictive duality only has one thing in common, the fear he has of being ignored and reduced to nothing but a powerless bum, hence why his Shadow Self manifests itself as his younger, dreamy self, who excels in laziness and tries to goad Osamu into becoming a college dropout, by being pushy and obnoxious like him, but with more malice. To ascend, Osamu needs to understand that being a Pop Singer doesn't mean he won't have a future, and that he must not let a life imposed by someone else controls him. And to descend, he must either become a dropout, or actually finish college, as he'd follow the life that was made for him, instead of his own.
