At some point, she was pretty sure she had just invented some new, weird form of meditation. Focus on only what was directly in front of her and all the American prog rock songs she was humming and singing to herself were starting to become a mantra. Hanako was back at the cosplaying promotional job in Tanjiro. She didn't come alone, and Daichi had gotten into it with her. They were working with a theme that day, and the theme was JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Luckily, Daichi was a good match for some of the more tall and broad characters earlier in the series. Hanako? Well, she was Daiya Higashikata that day. She had enough advance warning to avoid the sun until her skin was on the fairer side again. a short dark wig, brown contacts and a pink outfit with black legging's like the girl. But looks were only half of the job, as far as Hanako was concerned. You had to act like the character and even react like them. "Shoot high~, break low. Aim high, shoot low…" She had never listened to much Yes before, but it was Daiya's favorite band so she got familiar with it. The girl was kind of childish and cutsey. When she wanted something she wanted it. She also had bad eyesight but refused to be helpless for it. So at least where the patrons could see, Hanako's pace was slow and deliberate not the way a fully sighted person would wander the mall. Curious people were given one of the dozens of flyers for the particular store that hopped to drum up patronage and there were fun little interactions of course. She knew she was pretty satisfied with the kind of work. She had come back to this two times. But she wanted to check on Daichi, it was hist first time and if he was struggling or having problems of course she'd go and help Dai-chan~! Of course, given Daiya's condition, she approached first feeling out with her hand and getting in close gaze mostly unfocused. She had the moment of realization and her face lit up as she spoke. "Oh! Johnathan-chan~! How are you today?" A little fun interaction with the characters might be good for business too. This was the first time she wasn't as a physically capable character. Just a nice conversational skit this time. |

This job idea that Hanako'd brought up to him was...well it was certainly a job that people did! It was definitely a needed change of scenery from the maid cafe, so there was no possible way it was a worse occupation. Plus he got to wear this super unique outfit—he'd never worn so much blue before had he—and wig! Admittedly he wasn't sure about the whole midriff baring part but hey, why worry about it right? No need to be so uptight when it came to an occupation where you got to dress up as characters from various forms of media for cold hard cash. Oh and the posing, the posing! It must have been the most fun he'd had in the mall ever. The hardest part was getting into character. Acting hadn't been something he'd ever had even a passing interest in until his cousin had come along and been all about the drama and comedy clubs. Luckily he'd managed to do some research into this Jonathan Joestar character beforehand! There shouldn't have been too much to it than acting a hell of a lot more personable than he did off the clock. "Higashikata-san! I must say there's just so many people here, don't you agree? You might be able to put the entirety of Birmingham in here if you had a mind to do so..." Daichi looked around, wide eyed and mouth ever so slightly agape with amazement at their surroundings. Shaking himself out of it, he gave Hanako a concerned look. "But are you alright Higashikata-san? Do you need my help with finding something?" |

Hanako had no problems acting in character. It was a simple matter for her to channel that enthusiasm she put forth in most things into watching her own reactions, and trying to act and sound like the character in question. Though Daiya had a problem the previous ones didn't. She was a minor character in a currently ongoing story. As such there simply wasn't all that much material to build upon. She had the looks down easily but most of how she acted had to be filled in with guest work and improvisation. "No, that's quite alright, Joestar-san. I can get by fine on my own." It was a bit of a cold response, bit it made sense. She couldn't see as well as most, but she also didn't want to be dependent for it. "You don't have to worry about me so much. But do we have guests?" The 'guests' being of course the main point of the enterprise. |

Entirely unaware of the JoJo related events happening at the Tanjiro Shopping Center, one Suzu Takaki wandered in cluelessly, aiming to waste away an entire afternoon in the absence of her close circle of friends. She couldn't stay at home anymore - the sight of those four walls in her room, which her parents forced her to stay in after a certain incident, was quite unbearable at that point. First on the card was the Arcade, so she headed straight in. The mall greeted her with some of the flashiest promotions she's ever seen, for a franchise called 'JoJo's Bizarre Adventure'. She had gotten familiar with it as of recently, having so much free time on her hand(s) that she started watching the anime on TV. Two cosplayers caught her eye. One she immediately recognized, despite the outfit and lack of ability to analyze the persona - Hanako Ito. She worked alongside her every day, having committed to memory the slightest of behavioral shifts to her. Whoever she was cosplaying as, she did not know. Perhaps it was from a future series? She didn't recognize the second guy, but recognized the cosplay - Jonathan Joestar. It was quite well crafted; most of all, she was quite impressed with the guy's build, and could've sworn she's seen someone like that in Taiyoutono before. However, only one thing came to mind as she commented from the sidelines. "...You have that body 'n ya don't show up as Tranny Joseph? What a wasted opportunity..." She shook her head in disappointment. Did people not have taste these days?! |

"Ah, alright! Apologies if i've offended you at all Higashikata-san. I know you're more than able to get around by yourself." Daichi was really not the most well versed actor was he? Maybe this career wasn't the one that he was destined for. Still he needed to work to get that paycheck for now and that meant staying in character as much as he could! Even if that was probably more taxing than it was going to be worth. Got to live and learn even when you learn about how horrible cosplaying is for an occupation and that the people that have the strength to do it are likely the most powerful beings on the planet. Even without the magical abilities that some people possessed. Oh look it was someone! Thankfully he was saved the embarrassment of it being someone he knew or anyone whose opinion had weight with him. No, it was just some rude redheaded girl. Daichi rubbed his jaw and looked thoughtful. Really how horrible did somebody's manners have to be to just waltz right up to someone working and ask them why they weren't dressed as a tranny? With a total curiosity Daichi cocked his head to the side and blinked. "...I'm not familiar with any Josephs, sorry. Whoever they are i'll be sure to tell them you asked about them!" Yeah he was just going to glide over the more unsavory part of that. |

Hanako was at a dilemma. On one hand, it was a funny and unexpected thing, right out of the blue. On the other hand, she wasn't one to break character for any reason. That included hilarious outbursts from people she knew. "Hmm? What? I think I heard niichan talking about that?" So, the best bet was to play ignorant for the moment. She definitely wanted to talk with Suzu more later, when she was freed. But for now? She'd devoted her time and effort to staying in character. The vacant stare was getting somewhat easy for her. (The colored contacts she wore weren't the easiest things to see in, admitedly.) |

"Whaddya mean y're not familiar with any Josephs, he's yer grandc--" Oh. Right. Jonathan had never met Joseph. Which implied Jonathan slept with Erica before it even became that explicit in the series that the two were officially together. Details! "...Err, just some guy who looks like ya. Yeah. Beefcake type, always guesses what'cha gonna say? And ya boned his grandma." She couldn't resist. You just have to make everything awkward, don't you? She proceeded to take her cellphone out and, without asking for permission, she took a picture of the two. It would serve for hilarity down the road, she was sure. Faking a blush was a little too much for Daichi to accomplish. Looking offended because how dare this random passerby insult his beautiful, proper...Erica? No no, that wasn't it. Still he frowned and crossed his giant man arms in front of his chest. Looking for all the world like a puppy who was angry that he'd been kicked. "I'll have you know that the Lady Pendleton is not a grandmother. As a matter of fact we're to be married soon. I'm going to have to ask you to please not spread such slanderous rumors any longer." Gah, this was really going to be a strain on him wasn't it? The when and how and where of acting just felt stilted and stiff to him. "Higashikata-san? Whatever do you mean? Does everyone else know this Joseph but me? Is he perhaps a friend of Speedwagon from Ogre Street?" At the very least he could give all of his effort into making people sad about the character he was acting out. Yeah that sounded good. |

"No, not about the person, I don't think I've ever met this Joseph before. What I mean he mentioned just the word~" She answered rather breathlessly. It was a bit more precarious to stay in character that day than it was most of the time, so if Daichi complained about how tough it was later, she was hardly in a position to blame him. Pictures were allowed, and encouraged. Hanako was a veteran at the job by that point. When Suzu's camera came out, she was already deciding on a good pose for the shot without hesitation. After it was snapped, she answered Daichi. "Oh? Speedwagon? Ogre Street? Could you tell me more, Johanathan-san?" At about the time as that conversation was engaging, the manager of the store that had hired them out was approaching. He was thin middle-aged man who was checking his watch and seemed to be in good spirits. Quitting time was approaching for the two! |

"Sure she isn't. Dio didn't steal her first kiss either." Suzu taunted with a cocky smirk. Who knew other people's suffering served to amuse her so? I did. And uh... pretty much everyone who knows you minimally. "Where are you gonna get married? Under the sea? Great song by the way." It took everything of the redhead not to burst out laughing at that point. It was too easy; and to any people watching, it seemed borderline suicidal instead how a 5'4'' girl was standing up to that monster of a man. Well, at least she was really good at running. "Oh, right, Speedwagon... I wonder if a threesome ever happened..." |
