Ah, there. That was nice. Kind of like what she'd been expecting before the serioustalk. Or the start of it, anyway! Tender kisses would lead to heated kisses and that would lead to--oh, use your imagination.

After a bit, she pulled away and grinned impishly down at her boyfriend, who was still hanging off the side of the bed from the shoulders up.

"I think we should move over a bit," she said seriously. "We ain't sittin' in an expensive hotel room so we can do it on the floor! And these beds are like trampolines. Like, seriously. If the ceiling weren't so low I'd be jumpin' up and down like a two-year-old right now! So!"

Yoink. And she gave Hiroko a hearty tug (it was at this point that she consciously registered for the first time that she was getting... a bit more physically strong than the modest-and-lean muscle visible in her arms would actually suggest). Hiroko would be yanked up into a sitting position and then steered around and then... well, their positions were reversed! Guy on top of girl, only this time her head was on top of one of the pillows. Speaking of which...

She was stunned for a moment by pure fluffiness, blinking up at Hiroko with a dumbfounded look on her face.

"These pillows're better than the ones the sheep drop," she said in tones of pure bliss and disbelief. "I didn't know that was even possible..."

Oh my God, I LEFT THE STOVE ON AT HOME!

"Ah-!"

The amount of strength in the tug surprised Hiroko a bit, but he didn't see it as a pressing matter. However, the pillows were as he felt the pillows upon Kyo praised them in a breathy tone that were usually reserved from post-steamy time afterglow. He closed his eyes peacefully.

"Think they'll notice if we took them with us?" he whispered conspiratorially. Despite how it sounded like he was joking, he seriously wanted to take these fluffy little cushions of blissful softness back home for them to sleep on.

Kyo blinked a few times at Hiroko, and then burst into giggles. "They m-might!" she laughed. "But if the pillows go missin', it's Spencer who'd get the bill! I say we take 'em anyway!"

Just like that, all the dreariness and tension was gone. All there was was laughing and the delicious feeling of warmth and weight and love. It was so refreshing that it hit Kyo like a freight train in that moment just how tense she'd gotten used to always being. Nagashima, Persona, Shadows, the ruins, vigilantism, hate crimes, revenge, gangs, Yakuza, doppelgangers, life and death...

...She wished it could be like this forever. For the first time, Kyo really, really envied Shizuka Setsuko for just getting up and going away.

"...ahaha, ah jeez..."

The laughter died down, and Kyo looked up at her boyfriend with sparkling eyes. They were still yellow, but Shadows never looked so happy or expectant. A grin was working its way onto her face. She brought her hands out from Hiroko's sides and ran her palms over the front of his shirt.

"Hiro-kun? Y'know all those things we're usually in too much of a rush t' try 'cause you've got work in half an hour, or I'm runnin' out for patrol in a bit, or we're late for school but we have just enough time before we really gotta leave, or 'cause I went and got myself hurt in the ruins again, or 'cause of this and that?"

Kyo said all this in a very calm and collected voice. And then suddenly, devilishly:

"I have a checklist. I may or may not've packed a few things in that second bag, too, y'know... the one where you were like, 'how much luggage do ya need for three days, anyway?' And I was like, 'You have no idea' and then you sorta rolled your eyes and grumbled about it bein' heavy..."

Her eyes flitted to the side, where that bag had been... well, knocked to the floor when the two of them had tumbled over into a proper laying-down-and-straddling-each-other place.

"Think we can go down the whole list before the trip's done? It's a long one! Kinda daunting, even for me, heh."

Hiroko liked where this was going as his eyes met Kyo's. While he missed the gorgeous emerald color her eyes used to have, they were still lovely nonetheless. "Depends," he asked coyly, reaching to pick the bag up off the floor. "What's on the list?"

Well, the answer to that question was, uh...

...
...

Oh, use your imagination. Long while, fade to black, etc.
