"...does this clockwork hand follow you... or guide you?"
"...'Cause y'can be gentle and firm at the same time," Kyo answered simply, without pause. "'Cause y'know what it's like t' not be allowed t'be whatcha want. Not sayin' ya'd be perfect at it, just... a thought, is all."

The green-haired girl looked up, and smiled. "I think there's always hope for anything and anyone, you know that," she said. "But, practically speakin', it'd be difficult as hell." She glanced to the side, frowning. "One way or another, y'can make it work if y'try. That's what I say and I'm stickin' with it."

Kyo held up her bottle, giving it a little shake and watching the contents sparkle in the firelight.

"With us Persona-users, it's as much a question o' whether ya think ya can as it is a question of if ya actually can. Can't have the second in the first place without the first. That was my mistake before... it's a mistake a lot of us're makin'." She raised her eyebrows, and sent Aleksandria a sidelong look. "Normal life's the same way, albeit a bit less flashy, y'know what I'm sayin'?"

Aleksandria smiled. "Thank you. It is... pleasing knowing that someone thinks that way. You speak as if you and I are the friends I claim we are. I apologise if this sounds like i am testing you again, but I simply cannot stop myself. Not even my father talks like that, as if he knows me." Perhaps then, when she and her Roza were all grown up, they could adopt...

"Perhaps so. Either way, I will have to leave Nagashima once the Persona problem has been solved. My crimes are too long to list. Perhaps I will find somewhere else with my Roza, or perhaps I will leave alone." The Russian shrugged. "I will make it work."

She chuckled. "Mmhm. I understand. You have once again given me a lot to think about Kyo-san. I... enjoy talking with you like this. Perhaps if you and I had met earlier, the sins I had committed would have never happened. Perhaps then we could have gone out in the sun, rather than hiding in the shadows. In the shadows of my former self, I might add." As she motioned to the broken boxes bearing the Fyodor logo.

This warehouse was her fathers. That was why she came here, because it was still hers, in some twisted way.

"Aleks, even if y'wind up havin' t' leave her, y'can find love with someone else," Kyo said, propping an arm up on her knee so she could rest her head on it. Another gulp of Vodka followed this statement, followed by Kyo setting the bottle down and stoppering it up--she wanted to save some of that for another occasion, she decided. "...I might not feel like it now, but happiness ain't somethin' each person can find in only one place apiece. Just never stop lookin' for a slice of it yourself and you'll be fine... eventually."

And then, her smile became a bit rueful.

"We are friends y'claim we are. Dummy. Maybe it's not somethin' I can label as cleanly as you, but fuck." She leaned over, grabbed her first bottle--the ordinary Vodka--and took a gulp of that. It definitely wasn't as good as the vanilla. She looked around at the warehouse. "Once we're done with the ruins and Nagashima, hell, maybe you'll be able t' just move away from all this--metaphorically, I mean. I wanna say y'shouldn't dwell on it all the time, but I know that ain't possible when it--well, it kinda rules your life and stuff. So instead o' thinkin' about how you'll hafta leave Nagashima, think o' bein' able t' move on. That's a goal t' shoot for, right?"

A gulp of Vodka. A sigh, and then:

"When're we doin' the hangout thing at your place with the others? I'm lookin' forward to it. It's been a while since the bunch of us just chilled together, forgot all the serious-business stuff for a bit, y'know?"

Aleksandria sighed. "I know that. I am worried about her. I abandoned her Kyo-san. I do not deserve her love, but she will crumble without me there. She has been waiting for me, I cannot simply turn away. Whereas I can find love again, maybe someday, I would rend her heart to pieces." The Russian gave a small sigh.

"I've been searching for that happiness longer than you think. I thought it existed in a place far away from Russian Government, where my men got the respect they deserved. It didn't exist there. That slice of happiness was ripped away from me by my father, so I carved another in the form of the Archangels. Perhaps now I must... find another."

The Russian nodded. "Yes. I plan to move away. Originally I was going to turn myself in, but I feel like that is a waste of my talents. Do not think me as callous, I regret the lives I have taken every day. Every day Kyo-san, I walk to Ruwashi Park and I count those names in my head. The people that died in that disaster."

She drank a swig of vodka. "I carved their names onto my heart. I will never forget them. The mothers who lost their daughters and sons. The children who lost their parents. I remember every single casualty." Aleksandria sighed once again, unsure what to truly say. "Oh, the hangout? As soon as you're all ready to, I'd imagine."

The girl smiled somewhat bashfully. "My apartment is not as big as it used to be, now that I am a free woman. I am sure you will all fit regardless." Aleksandria wasn't totally sure if she wanted them all to see her apartment. It contained a lot of keepsakes. Those were the only thing that the Russian cared about. Keepsakes.

Memories that shook the heart.

"...T'be honest, I thought she knew ya'd left," Kyo said uncomfortably, rubbing at the back of her head. "...It was a bit of a surprise when I found out she didn't. Kinda couldn't help bein' a little angry at the time."

Mostly because it had been compounded by the whole her evil aunt cooked her pet pig into a stew episode. Man, that had been over-the-top. What was Reina's beef with Kinzaki anyway? (Or would it be more appropriate to say "what was her pork?") Kyo just didn't get it at all. It was almost as if, in the absence of any actual hardship or tribulation in her life, Reina's psyche had latched onto the first thing it could find to hate and be angry about. Or was there something else there? ...Kyo decided not to think about it. It was easier, in the end, to just see Reina as a cardboard cut-out villain, as vile and soulless as the Shadows she routinely slaughtered in the ruins.

Kyo pushed thoughts of Reina away and tilted her head back, considering what Aleksandria must have been feeling as she spoke of herself at the park. The idea of turning herself in sent a chill down Kyo's spine. Considering how much hell had been raised when Kyomu had been apprehended, she could only imagine what the forum would be like if The Trial of Aleksandria Fyodor! (punctuation compulsory) became an actual thing.

"...Well, if I can have a gatherin' of friends in my little dot of an apartment, I'm sure you'll manage," Kyo said, grinning and bringing her drink to her lips. "For now, though, it's just us. If y'want, we can hang out tonight and have a sleepover... prolly can't be at my apartment, though. Hiroko knows about you, I'm just not all that keen to um, make the introduction a surprise wake-up call. 'Wake up, rise and shine, it's two AM and that Russian I told you about is here! Come play Mario Party with us!' ...Wouldn't go over too well."

"I didn't tell anyone. I hate goodbyes." That was the best excuse for now. I hate goodbyes. Not, I was worried you would never see me again. "I had to do what I had to do. My Roza understands. If she does not, then I am afraid I do not know her as well as I thought. It would be a sign that I should let her move on, rather than drag her back to my level."

She grinned. "Mmm. You'll all fit, no problem." When she mentioned a sleepover the girl smiled slightly. "That would be fun. Of course, it would have to be at my place. I wouldn't dream of imposing." When she mentioned Hiroko knew about her the girl nodded slowly. "Few people should have the displeasure of meeting me in the early morning. I wouldn't mind meeting him sometime, though. Perhaps he won't think of me as the others do."

Aleksandria pondered her answer. "If you want to, I see no problem taking you back to my apartment."

"Mm, well, I'm sure she understands, the timin' was just kinda bad, really," Kyo allowed, scratching at her nose--it occurred to her that she had no idea what Kinzaki had shared with Aleksandria about the whole thing with Reina and her mad science stooge. ...Now was probably a bad time to bring up the specifics. She took a last gulp of Vodka and then stoppered the bottle. "I'll go put this in the fridge," she said. Then: "Oh! I mean, I took this old fridge outta the ruins and plugged it in, in the back room over there. There's a backstory t' that fridge, I'll tell ya all about it when we're at your place. Just lemme stop by mine and pick up my laptop or some games or something. I got like, sixty gazillion movies and shows on my hard drive, we can check out whatever sounds interestin' t'ya."

Hopping to her feet, Kyo snatched up the vanilla bottle.

"This I'm takin' with me!"

Aleksandria gave a deep sigh. "I met with her. I cannot say that I wanted to. I don't want to hurt that girl again. She found me and we talked for a while. I got her phone number, so I'm trying to work up the courage of calling her again." As she went to put the vodka in the fridge Aleksandria grinned, rummaging in her bag as Kyo mentioned the fridge had a backstory.

"I knew you'd enjoy the vodka... so." She withdrew another bottle of the Vanilla Vodka with a grin. "This one you keep. Drink it with your boyfriend, with me, with friends. It is my gift from me to you. The bottle of Vodka I have been guarding in Russia for the right person." She chuckled slightly. "Nah. I bought this one while I was at home."

She chuckled and nodded. "Lets stop by yours. I want to walk with you." She got to her feet slowly and smiled.

"If that's okay, anyway."

Kyo breathed a sigh of mingled relief and frustration when Aleksandria said she had at least spoken to Kinzaki, even if it hadn't been intentionally... and she could understand the reluctance, but at the same time, she just wanted to get the idea into Aleksandria's head that putting this off wasn't doing any good for either of them. And all she could do was say it and hope the idea stuck.

Saying it and hoping the idea stuck was something she'd tried a few times in the past, with a number of people. It never, ever, ever worked.

"Just talk to her. You know she wants ya to, right? So the only thing left is t' bite the bullet and take a step." And then Kyo turned to walk to the back room. She chucked at the Russian's admission that she had just bought the bottle on her way home, and gave Aleksandria a thumbs-up as she carried the ordinary Vodka (as opposed to the "Vanilla" Vodka) to the minifridge she'd scavenged in the back of the warehouse.

"Works for me, s'long as we don't wake him up. He's pretty usedta my comings and goings, though... it'll be fine."
