"I better get moving. Classes should be over."

That voice in her head again. She knows it's probably right, but she doesn't budge an inch. She sits comfortably outside in the courtyard, sitting on top of one of the tables. Her posture looks relaxed, leaning back slightly with her hands resting on the table top slightly behind her. The smoke coming from her cigarette is a steady stream; she doesn't seem to be actively giving it a drag, just letting it burn away at its own pace.

"I should seriously stop."

With a long, drawn out sigh, she pulls the cigarette free from her mouth, with no real urgency. She sits up and slouches the other way, leaning forward a little, before she uses her free hand, gives her thumb and index fingers a lick, and pinches the burning tip to put it out. She does keep herself concerned about the littering; she's not a savage. For now, she decides to pocket it, and reminds herself to find a trash can later.

"Let's see. I still need to make it to class another twelve times to still be able graduate. I guess I should just get them over with. I'll have plenty of free time soon."

She folds her arms and her gaze goes skyward, excited by the prospect of being able to finish her dull school life. College was another matter, if she were able to go. No one knows who she is, no recommendations will be given, she knows. Perhaps a working life wasn't so bad after all? Or, maybe it will totally suck. Maybe her volunteer work will get her into the good graces of her teachers and the administration.

I could...no, then everyone would know. I don't want that kind of attention.

Perhaps thinking about the future isn't going to be as easy as she wanted.

From the building directly opposite of Ayano's location - the second year building, at the center of the campus - emerged a redhead. Suzu was, unsurprisingly, the first to ditch the class. The teacher was asleep anyway, so she packed up right before the time was up.

Not to mention, fuck cleaning duty sideways.

For as much as she liked to stay behind to talk to Seiji, Suzu decided it was time for a change of pace. Instead, as she left the building, she retrieved a surprisingly functional 3DS from her school bag, booting up Kid Icarus: Uprising as she walked, not paying attention to her path.

She was at Chapter 18, last time she played, about to face Pit's Body. She engaged it immediately with undivided attention, unable to see where she was going. "Oh come on, you motherfucker, just die already..." Suzu muttered under her breath while battling the boss, it having an abnormally high amount of hitpoints.

Her progress, however - both on foot, and in the game - was halted as she was quite brutally swept off her feet. The redhead had walked right into a table without spotting it.

"Oof!" She fell forwards, onto the person below. Her left hand managed to clutch the console safely during the fall, but, surprisingly enough, her grip on the stylus was rather delicate, and thus it went flying on impact, forever lost under one of the many tables nearby.

Clearly, she'd seen the younger girls coming toward her, but she didn't bother to stop her, or move, or warn her, or anything. She didn't even so much as flinch when she was fallen onto. She folded her arms across her chest, towering over the figure with an aggravated expression, despite being seated. Eventually, she looked down to examine the culprit, and noticed her strong grip on her gaming device. Clearing her throat, she'd finally speak.

"Weren't really watchin' what you were doin' there, were ya, Cyborg? Hold that thing any harder, and it'll be attached to ya."

Her tone didn't seem to bring any actual malice, but it didn't bring any kind of amusement, either. She looked down, expecting her to get off, or at least explain herself.

"Ngh..."

Suzu's mind expected pain over the impact - it was, a table, after all. But, instead, her face met something... Soft?

Human?

"Eh?" The redhead slowly peeked up from the cushion. Just in front of her was a torso, and just above it, a face of a not so nice individual staring down at her. Only then her mind made the connection she was on that someone's lap.

'Oh.'

She was standing up straight just as quickly as she had crashed back down, her stance rather defensive.

"O-Oi! Cyborg?! The fuck're ya talkin' ab--..." Suzu trailed off her speech once her gaze focused on what she was gripping exactly. The intact 3DS... "..." She proceeded to stand there like a complete idiot, actually daydreaming about how it would be like to have a handheld gaming device connected to her body.

'Heaven...'

Ayano wasn't about to let this strange girl's sudden quietness go unnoticed, following her gaze to the device as well. For a moment, she remained just as quiet, wondering is she had insulted her, but that thought changed when the facial expression on the daydreaming girl looked disgustingly content.

"You're thinkin' up something kind of weird, aren't ya, kid?"

While she spoke, she moved off the table to get back to a stand at full height. She took the time to appraise the clumsy girl, mostly to check if she wasn't actually hurt. She'd never admit it, but she didn't avoid the fall because the table would probably cause more pain.

"...?"

Suzu blinked, the other girl's voice bringing her back to reality. Then she closed her eyes and shook her head abruptly, as if trying to forget that beautiful, incredible, impossible daydream.

"Weird? Who isn't, this is fuckin' Nagashima for crying out loud."

The girl sighed out in relief once her gaze fell on the handheld once again. It was a good thing that it was intact - after all, just a month before, she persuaded one Yuki Ishinomori to buy her a PSP, after her own broke from crashing into another student, no less.

But...

"...Where the fuck is my STYLUS?!" She proceeded to look around frantically, in a panic. Oh no... Oh no no no no n--

Before the outburst, she shook her head with a sigh. She agreed, to a point, with what this girl said; there are some...unique...personalities that inhabit the school. However, she didn't really think she fit that profile, but she didn't protest too much.

"Well, I'm sure there are some-"

Ayano rubbed her eyes with one of her hands, interrupted by the outcry of a missing stylus, trying her best to drown out the obnoxiously raised voice. It didn't take her long to grasp the situation, and reached out with her thumb and index fingers making an 'o' shape...and then proceeded to flick her on the forehead with her finger.

"Enough already! Look, if I help ya find this thing, will ya please stop all that whinin' and that swearin'?"

She turned her head away to avoid eye contact, wanting to make it seem as if she didn't really want to go through with this.

Before Suzu could gather her thoughts, she felt a bit of a sting right in her own forehead. Startled, she took a step back, only then realizing that the unknown third year - of course, assuming so, due to that monstrous height - flicked it.

Needless to say, the redhead's gaze then formed quite the glare thrown Ayano's way.

"The hell? Ow!" She rubbed her forehead with her free hand. Of course, by then it didn't hurt at all, but the girl was a bit slow. "Whaddya do that for?!"

Her protests were, however, shushed by quite the bribe. The hand stopped its rubbing, though stayed in place as she considered the offer, making her stance seem rather odd to any bystander. It seemed... reasonable.

"...Deal." Eventually, Suzu let her 10 foot iron wall of stubbornness crumble somewhat, and her energy spike seemed to die down a little. "Better find it fast!" One last look, and she was off to look for the tiny white pencil-like object, completely missing it hiding under one of the nearby tables.

Ayano spent a little time just observing the strange, strange girl, but not before she rolled her eyes.

"Why do I get myself into these things?"

She shook her head slowly before she got to the search as well, but she looked around close to the table she was at. After all, it couldn't have gotten that far, but the size of the object may create some difficulty in locating it. The search started right where she was at, the fated table that brought misfortune in the form of a loud, potty-mouthed girl. She tried to crawl herself under it, but only succeeded in hitting her head on the table top from underneath.

"Urk..."

She got out from under the table and rubbed the top of her head. This wasn't going to be an easy task.

"Where could it be..."

Suzu thought to herself out loud whilst tapping her chin with her right index finger, glancing around her premises while the other girl went to look for the thing. Much to her chagrin, other students were finally exiting and flooding the area, which would prove to make things more difficult.

Upon hearing a thud, her head turned towards where it came from. Briefly, the redhead considered using a weak healing spell so to eliminate the pain as a way of displaying 'gratitude' for the help on the search; however, that idea was quickly discarded when her scanning ability decided to remind her the person in question didn't have a persona.

Having pain disappear just like that would be plain weird.

"I'll look over there." She pointed to a location actually not so close to theirs. Indeed, it defied the laws of physics applied to the situation, but it was Nagashima - there was something tampering with odds as it was, so, why not?

And so she went, ducking and peeking under a few tables, after a few glares towards bystanders that shouted a plain 'don't look' threat.
