As usual, Machi had arrived first to the club's sparkling clean room, a small smile filling her lips as she slid the door open, stepped in, and closed it. It would take a good ten minutes, at the very least, for other people to arrive - classes had just ended, most had to pack up and go to their lockers, while others often stayed behind to talk with their friends. That was, if they didn't skip altogether. The blonde girl decided to change to her kimono right there and there. There was no one in sight through the window - it led towards the back of the school, and most were leaving, rather than exploring. Out of practice, the change was very quick, and soon enough, she was sporting her traditional blue kimono, with white flower patterns in a rising, spiraling design across the cloth. Once that was done with, she carefully folded her school uniform, stepped off her shoes, and put her belongings inside her own messenger bag. It had a compartment just for clothes in general. The bag was placed on top of the sole desk present in the room, much like most people's bags usually rested on. Five minutes to go. As she decided to start preparing some Tamaryokucha at a slow pace while waiting for others to arrive, she wondered who she should choose as her successor for the club's leadership, but decided to focus on brewing the tea first. At least it would spare them the trouble. Edited by Natscookie, Feb 21 2014, 06:16 PM.

As soon as classes ended, Eun gathered her belongings and left as fast as possible. She had signed up for the Tea Ceremony club a while back at request of her mother, and although she had been able to get away with attending meetings before, Sayo had gone as far as hiding the kimono in her bag while she was asleep. After noticing it and realizing her mom wasn't going to let her skip anymore, Eun decided to just throw in the towel and show up this time. She at least wanted to be one of the first to arrive, though, so she wouldn't embarrass herself by walking in late. After locating the closest bathroom to the club room, she ducked inside in order to change her clothes. After finishing up - the obi took longer than she expected, especially since she wasn't used to tying it - Eun stepped out of the stall she had been using and checked herself in the mirror to make sure everything was in order. The kimono she wore was mainly white at the top, with a few orange flower designs that grew more numerous as they reached her legs. Her hair was also tied up in a loose bun, allowing a few strands to fall on both sides of her face. After she was absolutely positive nothing looked wrong with herself, and that the hallway wasn't too crowded, she quickly walked the rest of the way and entered the club room with a soft "Excuse my entrance..." The first thing she noticed was that she was not alone in the room. A girl in a blue kimono was busying herself by brewing the tea, and Eun silently cursed herself for taking so long with the obi. The second thing she noticed was that she actually recognized the girl. "Ah, hello Kijimuta-san," she said, walking over to where Machi was working. "Anything I can do to help?" Hanako had waited for everyone to clear out of their homeroom, then she changed. She didn't even have her usual Kimono, this one was a gift from her older sister. It showed in the style, it was a very light green with a pattern of songbirds on it. It was definitely Kasumi's style over her own. Oh, well, it was the only one she brought with her. With a smile, she approached behind the girl. "Oh, hey, Eun-san! You got here right after Machi-chan, right?" Hanako had been around long enough to know Machi being first was just a given. As sure as the sun shined and the wind blew, her BFF would be the first one in and the last one out when tea was involved! |

The bad thing about joining the Tea Ceremony Club might have been finding an ornamental kimono on short notice. Which, for something in Sayuri's size, was purple and pink blossoms--in the painful purple and pink fashion. At least she didn't have part of it fall in the toilet again when she was changing in the bathroom. Yay for small victories. Though it was the accompanying sandals that were more ill fitting, being for feet actually bigger than hers. Sayuri was basically doing her best not to trip on the way to the club room. And ignoring the mirror on the way out because she probably should have done something with her hair but Sayuri didn't want to be late. There were a few people already inside when she poked her head in, before going all the way through the door. |

Daichi Nakamura felt in one word, extremely awkward. The tall young man was wearing the dark forest green kimono that Machi had bought him. Which in and of itself caused him a sort of odd shame and embarrassment. Not even the sandals on his feet had been bought with his own money. It had been a nice enough gesture, and the girl had probably meant it as a sort of fresh start. Still...he couldn't shake the feeling like he was a charity case. Complain about how some of the wealthy people act, then turn around and act like he didn't want their help. Oh well, hypocrisy was just another reason to hate himself. Well, time for that later! For now, he had to get through tea ceremony. He stepped into the room quietly, his gaze shifting to each person. He recognized three out of four. This was good at least. Sayuri, Hanako and Machi...the fourth girl he didn't recognize aside from possibly seeing her in the hallway. "Uh...greetings. I hope I didn't arrive late, apologies if I did." So very awkward. |

WHERE THE FUCK IS MARIO

Treo Ashdown owned a Kimono. It was something he had purchased on a whim, following his arrival. It still fit, which was a relief, because until today when he had bothered to research proper etiquette, he was under the assumption he could have arrived in a waistcoat and trousers and maybe been okay. I mean, sure. That was still possible, but how rude would it have seemed? Not acceptable. The teen walked slowly, getting used to the geta on his feet as he clacked into the room. His kimono was a ice blue, with swirling mist designs. The mist had caught his eye, along with the ice blue. Treo didn't wear much blue but found himself drawn to clothes that were blue. Like it was his place. He put the thought out of his mind and bowed to the others, his normally unkempt white hair combed back a little. He noticed Daichi and gave a smile, along with one to Hanako. "Ah. Ito-san. Its good to see you again." Turning to the boy he gave a nod. "You wear it well, which is a hard thing to do." He gave a slightly awkward chuckle. "You'd be surprised how hard it was to find one this size." |

"...?" While the blonde waited for the water to boil, her head turned slightly, glancing over her shoulder to see the second person arriving. Machi smiled ever so slightly, turned full, and bowed. "Good afternoon. It's quite alright, though I appreciate the offer. Please, have a seat." The water took a while to boil. The historian took the opportunity to tie her hair up in a messy bun, using a couple of chopsticks found inside her school bag - always prepared. Machi smiled as her best friend walked into the club, though, much to her surprise, the often considered 'boring' activity was becoming rather crowded. Sayuri, Daichi, even Treo... ...What was going on, exactly? Having gotten a taste of Sayuri's inadequacy with large crowds, the blonde couldn't help but feel somewhat uneasy at the situation. "...Ueda-san, is it? Welcome!" She flashed a broad smile, before motioning the newcomer in. "How may I help you today?" |

Holy hell that's a lot of people... Eun couldn't help but to feel a little nervous a little nervous after watching people crowd in one by one. Thankfully there was another familiar face in the crowd, so she believed it shouldn't be too hard to get through the meeting. She also recognized the tall, silver haired boy as another face from her class, but couldn't quite place his name. "Hello, Hanako-san... Everyone," Eun said. After going through formalities, she retreated to the far side of the table and took a seat. Kijimuta, Hanako... Silver... and two more people... Damn it, Mom, didn't you say this club wouldn't be popular?! |

Of course Machi was there! It was why Hanako showed up regularly too! Eun, Daichi, Treo, and even Saiyuri Ueda! She knew and was quite fond of them all! Except Saiyrui…not that she wasn't fond of her, just rather that she didn't know the underclassman with the unique hairstyle. She kind of left very quickly that time on the roof, but she seemed nice! "Hello Ashdown-san! Daichi! Eun-san!" She beamed, but there was one bit of a problem. The one day someone like Saiyuri came was the day it wasn't its usual laid-back affair. She didn't want to put the girl off, as she seemed very shy in big groups. So she'd have to subdue her enthusiasm a bit. Eun seemed like the type who wasn't big on groups either. Maybe she could have helped? "Sorry about the other day Ueda-san. Have you met Eun-mi Choi? She's new to Taiyotono as well and I just think she's a real pleasure to be around!" Maybe it would have been easier for everyone involved if they tried to ease Saiyuri into getting to know everyone one or two people at a time? She of course deferred to Machi to see what she wished to do, but if it was fine, splitting those two off the crowd until it was a bit easier for them to socialize without getting overwhelmed was perhaps a good idea? |

"A-Afternoon," Sayuri said, not quite yet comfortable around the other club members and especially her sempai club president just yet, defaulting to good respect. The slight discomfort became much greater as an avalanche of people walked in behind her. Maybe not an avalanche but some of the older male students, including Daichi would would have been a trusting presence given his involvement in her last time in the ruins but that also resulted in his seeing her worst--or Phooka's worse, however it worked-- --so Sayuri could just be seen as trying to stay even more out of the way as possible, with low murmured helloes parroted back and her eyes kept at a downwards angle. |
