WHERE THE FUCK IS MARIO
Ayane nodded. "Its not much, but I can offer you hand to hand training, nothing fancy, just enough to keep you on your toes." She grinned. "We do crazy things for the people we love and they do crazier things in return. I wanna help you if I can. From one girl in love to another, you know? But even without my help, you'll find something June." The snake girl gave a chuckle. "Nah, it was fun. Its nice to know a few more people out there are still rooting for me. I might not be a vigilante anymore, but as long as the feeling I passed on is still there, then I know it wasn't in vain. So... thanks for that." She nodded slowly. "Mmm. Just get in contact and show me and I'll see if I can't pick out a design after my exam." |

"...does this clockwork hand follow you... or guide you?"
"Training? Really?" June blurted out, sounding breathless and blindsided, as if someone had sprung out of the ground and yelled "BOO!" behind her (if someone actually had done that, though, her reaction would have been to punch them in the schnoz). The girl stared up at Ayane as if she couldn't believe the offer. A moment later she realized she looked as fangirly as she felt, and coughed into her fist to cover the awkwardness. "Uh--I'd like that. It'd help. Not that I don't know how to fight, but... well, no actual, um, training, really..." In truth, June had always felt clumsy and unrefined next to Noburu, who was no less a self-taught brawler than she was--but who didn't need a weapon and always seemed to find a way to make a fool of his opponents somehow. Of course, the main reason Noburu always won his fights was that he knew which ones not to get into to begin with... something June and Shouta had never quite got their heads all the way around, no matter how often he lectured them about it. June coughed into her hand a bit and busied herself once more with her meal, trying to look less concerned than she actually was. "Well, even if you're not doing the Batgirl thing anymore, yeah, I'm rooting for you. I hope you pass that exam. Hell, if you can get your dream job, maybe I can. Maybe even..." Maybe even Noburu can, too. It was a hope she didn't want to voice, not least because it delved into her boyfriend's secrets and she wasn't about to go parading those around without consent. She glanced back at the one-time vigilante and gave Ayane a genuine smile, which was a rare thing for June to do in any sort of public venue--typically, these days, on Noburu ever saw that sort of smile. "I'll be in touch, then. It's been great meeting you, Ayane... really. I mean it." |
