Oh my God, I LEFT THE STOVE ON AT HOME!

Shinta's head ached as he dragged a used training dummy into the abandoned building, his MP3 player turned up as loud as it would go. He needed to deal with the job that Kinzaki had given to him. He had to go talk to Jun Wu and apologize for letting his anger control him, had to go back to fight club... But he needed to train, release some of his anger. He took a deep breath and set the training dummy down in the middle of the floor. Taking ten steps away, he bowed as if facing an opponent in a match and then ran at it and pulled off a jump front kick, screaming "Kiiiaiii!" as he did it, one that anyone who lived in the area would hear as it echoed out. Of course, nobody lived here, right? |

WHERE THE FUCK IS MARIO

Ran-kun had some business in the next town over. He had told her that it was a small thing and he would be back soon. His pillow still smelt of him. She heard the Kung Fu cries and was oddly confused. What was someone doing training at this time of night? She felt an odd kinship to whoever it was. Ayane had trained long into the night until her legs didn't work anymore, until her arms didn't work anymore. Until they both bled. She hung from the ceiling of the building, hanging from her tendril fingers as she floated in the breeze somewhat. "Yo. So like... what are you doing here?" She fell to the ground and yawned slightly. "Bit late for Bruce Lee impressions." |

Ayane was lucky that Shinta turned around to see her- his music player was too loud for him to hear anything Ayane . He went wide-eyed and pulled out his earbuds. "Gah! W-where'd you come from?!" he asked. |

"My parents! Or... the ceiling! I forget which question you're asking there! I came from my house too! That's like three answers right there haha!" She idly twirled a finger in her own hair, before giving a sigh. "Anywaaaay... what are you doin' here? I mean, its late. You kinda woke me up with your Bruce Lee impressions." A pause. "Yeah. I live here." Another one as she cracked her knuckles. "Wanna make somethin' of it?" Then she laughed. "Oh man... I'm not that kinda gal from the backstreets." |

"Eh, I'm just venting." said Shinta. "I didn't realize that people lived here...I'm sorry." He scuffed at the floor sheepishly. "Guess I'll have to go elsewhere to train..."

Ayane tilted her head. "Nah. I'm awake now. Whaaaat's up with you though? Whatcha venting?" She attached one of gloves to a nearby catwalk and started to swing in the breeze. "C'mon, tell me. Its not like I'm gonna tell anyone else." She swung from left to right, her head bobbing like a metronome, or a snake hanging from a tree. "Are you afraid of feeeeeeeelings?" |

"Yeah, in a sense..." said Shinta, taking a punch at the dummy. "My mom's got cancer, I'm having relationship issues, and it's just shit I don't wanna talk about..." |

Oh... oh my. It looked like it was really bad. The girl felt an odd pang of kinship, but ultimately shrugged. "My mom was in a coma for about 10 years before she finally died earlier this year." She wasn't playing who could amount up the biggest pity party, but she could feel the pain of watching someone, knowing they would never get better. You were just waiting for the answer. She's dead. There's no way we can help her. Each word was like a knife. "I know how it feels." She had landed and as the boy went to punch the dummy, he would feel two rather strong arms wrap around his chest and hug tightly, before letting go. "Trust me. I know." When it came to relationship issues the girl smiled. "Ooh ooh! I'm good with those! Tell me tell me tell me!" |

Shinta went very, very red in the face when Ayane hugged him. It felt good, really good. When she asked to hear about his relationship issues, he sighed. "The girl I fell for is seeing someone else...and I had a chance with her, but I didn't take it..." he said with a sad shrug.

She shrugged. How many times had she wondered if Ran would find someone else while he was running around. Maybe that was just a stupid fear? Ran had said it himself. She was the only one for him and he was the only one for her. They were orphaned, each with different reasons. But through together they had found a reason to keep on going. "Plenty more fish in the sea. When you pine after the same person, you'll just end up making them feel awkward, you know?" The green haired girl sighed. Real smooth Ayane. Just.. gloss over the pining you did for Ran-kun. Real smooth. |
