Years of sleeping in desks had treated Kumori Yatsu well. He could avoid thrown projectiles near-subconsciously, moonlight as ruins explorer as long as he wanted, and, most importantly, could more or less feel the time by how a desk felt when he came to. Partly exaggeration, but with how quiet the room was, it could not have been school hours. He had been awake long enough to fill out a student climate survey with some bland, opinionless answers before checking out, so it couldn't have been before lunch.

The dull ache in his head informed him that he had been asleep for far too long, and his numb legs and heavy, dangling arms agreed. His neck protested when he shifted his weight slightly, so he consigned himself to something that approximated the midpoint of sigh and groan. He wrinkled his nose when he smelled the faint scent of nicotine and the sound of a gentle breeze through an open window. Hazily, the image of his student council armband came to mind, though he wasn't disciplinary committee and even the thought of pulling his armband out made him want to yawn.

He was remarkably awake for someone who just came out of a nap—nearly painfully so—but a quick scan of the area did a lot to clear his mind. The boy picked up a presence familiar to him standing near the open window, but a Persona that was entirely foreign to him. When his neck finally cooperated, he turned to rest his ear on the desk, wincing slightly as light flooded into his line of vision. He saw golden hair and a trail of smoke.

"I thought I had said it wasn't a good idea to smoke in the classroom."

WHERE THE FUCK IS MARIO
She had forgotten something in the haste to leave. Something in her locker. Alexis Kriemgund had gone, long gone, but there was nothing stopping her from entering the school under the pretenses of visiting one last time before everyone graduated, right? The Russian had hastily thrown together her old disguise and as Kumori opened his eyes she smiled back.

"Where else would you have me smoke? I am not even part of this school any longer. I am simply a ghost, looking to run out her final hours before I have to return back to my life of hiding." Kumori Yatsu was a scanner, which meant they could get right down to it right away. "You already know who I am I take it. Since you've met me before."

"I'd rather you not at all, actually. But I suppose that won't change the fact that you're smoking. Not a fight worth losing," Kumori said, pushing his head off the desk slowly, rubbing his eyes, stifling another yawn. He rubbed his eyes and corrected the slouch as he turned in his seat to face the other in the room, the woman Treo had investigated so doggedly. Alexis Kriemgund. Aleksandria Fyodor.

"Welcome back to Taiyoutono." There was no fire in Kumori's words. "I recognized the situation more than anything else. Plus, I cheated a little bit." A bit of glass crystallized in his hand. It glinted in the familiar red-orange of early evening. "Was it... Hierophant to Judgment? You've changed a lot. We've met before, but not like this."

Kumori bowed slightly. "Yatsu Kumori." There was an ironic lilt to his voice and a faint upward tug at his lips.

"Pleased to meet you."

Aleksandria laughed slightly. "Very wise. You know not to get between me and my cigarettes. If I shall die alone, I will die in a manner of my own choosing." His words were calm, peaceful. "...Were it so simple. You could probably not understand how much I desire the world could just be the way it was. It was a lot more simple."

She nodded. "Judgement, yes. I've come a long way from simply that quiet woman in the back of the class who smokes. But I am not in the mood to tell long stories that end with the heroes succeeding and the villain seeing the error of their ways." As he introduced himself she took a bow as well.

"Aleksandria Fyodor. The same to you."

"It doesn't take much imagination, Fyodor-san. The town's been messy, and it's only really gotten messier. I can't say that I forgive you or respect what you have done, but you've have plenty of time to think on your actions. It isn't my place to judge you. I know you mostly by reputation." He shoved his hands in his pockets. "Might I ask the reason for the visit?"

Aleksandria laughed. "Plenty of time indeed. Time I don't deserve. Time that should have been spent fixing what I broke and not moping in family issues." When he mentioned it wasn't his place to judge her she nodded. "The only true person who can judge my actions is the one person I will meet at the end of my life. I had good intentions, but they were twisted by my desire to see them done quickly."

When the reason came up, she held up a cylinder, stamped with the Kriemgund family crest. "When I left, in case it got damaged in the fight with my father, I left this here. This is the sole copy of everything relating to my business. If someone else got a hold of this, I would have real criminal charges to be blamed on."

She smiled. "I feel like it wouldn't matter anyway. I do not have the same persona and few people can link Gabriel to Aleksandria Fyodor. After all, I am a ghost who simply will not die."

She finished her cigarette, stubbing it out and placing it in a little box. "Not like you can capture me anyway. Silence spells only work for so long and even without my Persona, I am a formidable opponent."

"...I'd question your motives back then, but I suppose that they've changed since then. It really wouldn't do much to ask about them now that you're a changed person. Person, not ghost. You're very much alive. The name may be different and you may be in hiding, but that doesn't change the fact that you can make a difference."

The woman's attitude was nearly flippant. Kumori supposed that it was a front; it certainly did seem that she thought long and hard about it, but he still felt pangs of frustration from Aleksandria's barbs. The fragment of mask in his hand began to granulate, turning from glass to white-blue sand and tumbling to the floor in small streams. As the sand fell, a frosty white crept through the corners, spreading slowly.

With a flick, he reduce the shard to a cloud of powder. He looked to his feet as it settled and glistened and vanished into nothingness before turning his attention to Aleksandria. "Formidable. As I'm sure you are. But I don't think I'm your opponent. You're past that, aren't you?"

Aleksandria laughed. "Alive and I was making a difference. But why does that matter when the roots of what I have created have done more without me. I am a ghost Kumori. I shouldn't exist. I don't have the right to exist either. All I can simply do is float in this world and hope that one day, my path will become clear."

She nodded. "You are not my opponent. Neither is Ashdown, neither is anyone else in this town. I will fix what I have broken. That was my goal with the Archangels. I wanted to fix my own mess. I wanted to do something good for a change. But even this has turned against me. Even when I try to fix, I break. I cannot bring life to anything without destroying something first."

She shook her head. "But that is not a concern of yours. All I know is you are face to face with the woman who broke your masquerade. Who started these fear groups. I planted the seed in Ruwashi and it bloomed into a storm of paranoia. I tried to fix it, but not even my best efforts could stem the gap. I will not ask your forgiveness, I do not deserve it."

"That's the extent to which I know you, yes. And knowing that, I will not offer my forgiveness. ...I will offer my assistance, though. Do not expect me to defend you for your actions, but I don't think that you can affect the change you want if you isolate yourself. You cite that as a failure, but I wouldn't say that it went completely sour. I'm sorry that I can't let it go, but I think it really is my concern."

Kumori said, giving a small grimace at how unpleasant the conversation was turning out to be. "After all, your decisions and those consequences are something that all of us have to live with. As you said, you were partially responsible for the Ruwashi incident. You know that cause and effect aren't isolated. And that it's far easier to break something than to mend. Forgive me for my opinion, but you cannot do this alone, Fyodor-san."

Her eyes narrowed. "Partially? I was wholly responsible. I told her boyfriend the command in case she went out of control. I did it not to benefit him, or even to arm him against her. I did it purely in the interest of curiosity. Science is driven by curiosity. By the desire to learn more about the things we simply do not understand."

She shook her head. "It is not your concern. It is mine. The burden is mine to bear. I will not force others to walk with me." Aleksandria ran a hand through the wig. For a moment, she had deluded herself into believing that was her hair. It felt nice to have it again. Rather than the short mess she had hacked it into.

"I haven't been doing it alone. Its just now that I have to. I cannot rely on others to fix a mess I made."
