Fubuki was taking a shortcut through the backstreet on her way home. Like what her classmates said, this part of Nagashima seemed gloomy and dark, and she was told to avoid the group of suspicious people there. Being a country girl she was, she couldn't help but to be curious about this group of people, but thankfully there's been a part of her mind that was still sensible enough to remind her that she should be avoiding trouble there. As she walked down the street, she saw something that she would rather not see in front of her eyes. A few people had been ganging a lone girl, and from what she could hear, the people were roughing her up. Fubuki could hear those people shouting 'you damn witch' or 'you monster' as they cornered the helpless girl. Being compelled to help, Fubuki, without hesitation quickly approached the group and shouted. "Please stop it! Don't be mean to her!" it was her habit that was developed since she was a child that compelled her to assist anyone who seemed to be in trouble. She just couldn't help it, even though she should at least think about the consequence of her actions after jumping in. And her shout did get the attention of the group. And now that the attention was shifted to Fubuki, the girl immediately ran away, leaving Fubuki on her own. Well, at least she would be safe for now. And now, the group of those suspicious people were surrounding Fubuki, and Fubuki slowly realized what kind of situation she got herself into. Gulping, the country girl slowly stepped back. "Uh... p-peace for everyone?" Fubuki said. "C-can't we just solve this problem, like, in peaceful manner?" she suggested nervously. Mentally, she cursed herself, thinking that her ass might be doomed, in more ways than one. |

Though it wasn't getting too late yet Kasumi was heading towards home, where her grandparents had the pet shop. Her goggles were on her forehead with her headband and for once her shoulder bag was actually over her shoulder. Suddenly a girl running pell-mell bumped into her, continuing off where Kasumi had been walking down the alley. She turned to watch the fleeing girl, and continued forward to where there was shouting. When she was a few steps behind the group she stopped. Several people cornering another girl in another kind of school uniform. Kasumi stood and stared. Edited by evilpizza_626, Jan 28 2014, 11:27 AM.

"Umm... umm..." Fubuki was trying to think for a way out of this situation, but from what she could see, she knew that she was screwed. Those people were giving her scary looks while discussing among themselves what to do with her. And then one of those scary people grabbed her hand roughly, and Fubuki cried out in pain. "N-no! Don't do that! Eek! S-stop!!!" the country girl tried to struggle, but was overwhelmed by the large number of people trying to manhandle her. "S-someone! Help!!" she cried out for help. Being so small compared to the men who were manhandling her, it's just a matter of seconds before she would be fully overwhelmed by them. She expected the worst to happen next as she felt their hands touching her body. Some of them were tugging on her clothes, and despite her best effort, she knew that without someone intervening, she might end up being in a deeper trouble than this. She shut her eyes tightly due to fear, not wishing to see those animalistic lusts from the face of the people who were manhandling her. She could hear their voices as they said something dirty and indecent, being dirty perverts they were, and she would rather not hear them as she continued to struggle. When she heard the cry of help Kasumi was snaking through the crowd in a flash. Her shoulder bag was flung at the head of the guy grabbing the yelling girl, books and papers exploding out as it made contact. Kasumi let the bag fall as it may, as in her hand was one end of the jumprope she carried around to jumprope in the park. After a tug to make sure all of it was out of the bag she whipped the handle on the other end towards another thug's face. |

Somehow, Fubuki's silent prayer was answered by whatever god that was listening to her as a stranger suddenly showed up to save her from something that she would rather not imagine. One of the thugs, the one who was grabbing Fubuki earlier, got his head hit by a shoulder back. The guy released his grab, allowing Fubuki to break free. And then the other one got himself smacked on his face. The remaining ones looked at the stranger, and were about to go after her when Fubuki picked up a few miscellaneous things off the ground and threw them towards the thugs. "Take that, you pervert pigs!" she shouted as she threw things like rocks, wooden fragments and some other stuff. And not only that. When a few of those thugs were about to attack both Fubuki and the stranger, suddenly someone threw a metal pipe out of nowhere. The pipe hit one of the thugs right on his head. Falling down, unconscious, the remaining ones who were familiar with this had the same expression on their faces; terror. Immediately, dragging out their unconscious buddy, they got the hell out of that place, leaving both Fubuki and Kasumi alone. Seeing that she was finally safe, Fubuki fell onto her knees. She was glad that nothing happened to her. She could feel her hands shaking in fear, and before she knew it, she could feel something warm and flowing out of her eyes, rolling down her cheeks. She was grateful to be saved by Kasumi and whoever threw that metal pipe earlier. Still on her knees and trying her best to not tremble, Fubuki looked up to see the face of her savior. "T-thank you..." she said, forcing a smile as she wiped her own tears. "T-thank you very much!" her gratefulness was clear in her tone. She was grateful that she was able to walk away unharmed from that situation earlier. She would like to repay for what her savior had done to her. Meanwhile, the one who was responsible in throwing that metal pipe earlier was still hiding, waiting for the right time to show himself in front of those two girls. Well, he sure felt like he did something cool. The crimson-haired teen felt good after doing that rescue earlier. |

Kasumi dipped, lying low as things were flung through the air, heard a pipe fall to the ground, picked it up with her other hand that wasn't holding the jumprope. And when she stood. Nobody. The men were retreating up the alleyway. Kasumi stood posed locked in adrenaline fueled stance where she would have been striking down the next attacker before they had gone. Breathing deeply but evenly. Her arms lowered. She looked down to the papers and books scattered. What were those? Oh, the contents from her bag. She looked to where her bag had been discarded. |

Now that everything was good and dandy, Fubuki somehow had recovered from her shock and fear, and she managed to keep herself up again. That experience was quite a bad one, and she would rather not have it again. She steadied herself and looked at the girl who jumped into rescue before she approached her. "Umm... t-thank you for saving me..." she said to the girl. "I couldn't imagine what's gonna happen to me if you didn't show up." If the girl wasn't there, something horrible might happen to Fubuki, and she wouldn't dare to imagine such thing. Then Fubuki looked at the metal pipe that was thrown out of nowhere, the one that the other girl was currently holding in her hand. She blinked several times, somehow curious as she looked at the metal pipe. How could a metal pipe fly out of nowhere and hit one of those mean people? Did someone throw it? If someone did, where's that someone? Fubuki needed to properly thank him or her. "So..." Fubuki looked at the other girl's clothing, which was Taiyoutono's uniform. Fubuki couldn't afford to buy hers yet, so she was wearing her old sailor fuku uniform. "Are you from Taiyoutono?" she asked. |

Kasumi stared back at the girl of strange uniform in signature vacant stare. "I am." She bent to pick up her bag by the handle, remaining incidentals spilling out. That end of the strap was another fraying from breaking off completely. She stooped again to pick up papers. |

Fubuki blinked in confusion. Well, another strange person of Nagashima I guess, Fubuki thought to herself. But Kasumi didn't seem to be a bad person at all. After all, she did save her from those mean people. Now that things seemed to have calmed down, Fubuki was curious about this girl. Perhaps she could try to befriend her. "Umm... my name is Fubuki Fujioka. What's your name, miss?" Fubuki introduced herself before she asked the strange girl her name. Knowing more people would bring more good to her. And making friends would make her life in Nagashima even easier, considering that she just recently came here. Having a few people she knew might be convenient in a long term. Meanwhile, the crimson-haired boy who threw the metal pipe earlier continued to watch the things from his hiding, curious about what's going to happen next. |

Kasumi stuffed her papers back into her bag where it lay without any care to their condition. "Kasmui Hamasaki," she answered Fubuki. A few steps away a small textbook had gotten covered with the rocks Fubuki had been throwing earlier. She fished it out. |
