Rinji's thoughts were scrambling to catch up with his body. He'd reacted purely by instinct when he had fallen down the stairs, and upon landing in oh-so-dignified fashion it had clicked that he could have died.

But that wasn't that important right now. What was important was that Rinji's face was slowly turning a bright shade of red as he rose to his feet, dipping, once again, into a bow.

"Um, yes, I'm alright. I guess I just lost my balance right at the end. T-thank you both very much for your concern. I'm not injured. Sorry to worry you."

Rinji kept his eyes firmly on his shoes when he straightened himself out. It was bad enough to already be making a fool of himself before school even started. But now there was a girl involved!

At this rate, all Airo would do next time Rinji saw her would be laugh at his misfortunes...

Concerned, Fubuki looked at Rinji. "Are you sure? That fall seemed rather bad..." the country girl said. Well, she had to admit that the flip was kind of awesome, but that's besides the point. Now she was worried that the poor boy might have broken something when he fell earlier. "Are you sure you didn't break anything? Like a tailbone or anything else?" she asked.

Yeah, that's Fubuki alright. She was always concerned to those who were in trouble, and sometimes would put others before herself, which was kind of worrying. "Anyways, let's get yourself checked first and meet the nurse," Fubuki suggested. "Sometimes, people might not realize that they broke their bones, you know? So, it will be better to get you checked first," she said before she looked at Yuuki.

"O-or am I wrong?" she did stutter as she said that. She didn't want to be wrong about this, but she was so worried.

Then, there's something else she was worried about. Due to her being recently transferred, she didn't know where the infirmary was. She hoped that Yuuki could at least guide them there.

"If anyone is going to be dragging Akamori-san to the nurse I got put in charge of showing him around." A look to Fujioka's face reminded Yuuki that since she was knew she might be worried about knowing her way around the school. She had probably been on her own observations while everyone else who had been here since term was studying for their exams. What non-member of the Student Council had lucked out as to not have to show her around?

"Have you broken a bone, Fujioka? I can tell you it's a distinctive kind of pain." Had he been the one to fall down the stairs there would be something busted for sure. Mountain monk Akamori here probably could take the hit. The line of jealously briefly went through Yuuki's head.

"Come on, we were heading there anyways. If something does hurt during the journey we'll upgrade to a full exclusive nurse's office tour."

The poor boy was going to be shuffled off to the nurse's office without getting a say in at this rate! Rinji'd broken his ankle before, and he knew for certain that nothing was out of order, especially since he'd landed (relatively) clean.

Besides, the last thing he wanted to do was have someone poke him in the rear to check and see if he had busted his tailbone. Or worse, bandage and splint it just in case!

Talk about humiliating...But I don't know if I should mind all this attention. Do all new students get treated this way?

Deciding to put on a brave face, Rinji leaned backwards and showed a bit of flexibility, then bent his knees alternately, to prove his good health. He smiled a little at this, specifically toward the girl who'd shown such concern for him. They hadn't been properly introduced!

"I promise that if there's pain, I'll let you know. I've only ever broken a bone once before, but I've spent so much time with my training, I've almost forgotten what it's like to really get hurt. Again, thank you both very much. And, um, Miss Fujioka, was it? My name is Rinji Akamori, I'm a first-year enrollee, and it's very nice to meet you."

"W-well..." with reluctance, Fubuki had no choice but to just let it be for now. If they boy insisted that he wasn't hurt due to the fall, then there's nothing she could do about it. "If you say so. I'm sorry for being such a worrywart," she bowed deeply, apologizing to Rinji. Now that she thought about it for a second, she sort of overreacted, much to her embarrassment.

And then, Rinji introduced himself. "Oh, it's very nice to meet you too, Akamori-san," she responded to him. "My name is Fubuki Fujioka. I'm a second-year, and I guess I'll be your senior," she smiled as she spoke to the boy before her. "Now, what actually are you two doing here?" she asked both Rinji and Yuuki about the thing they were doing here.

Because Fubuki was new herself, she wasn't really familiar with this school just yet, so she still had a lot of things to learn. It would take her a while, but she would take it one step at a time, just like what her big sister had told her before.

Not one that picks things up to get up to speed, Yuuki thought about Fujioka. Hadn't she been here at least a day before Akamori and she had yet to get a Taiyoutono uniform?

"I've been put in charge of showing Akamori-san around the school. If you're still unfamiliar with the layout you may as well come along to, Fujioka-san, before somebody starts questioning what you're doing."

Yuuki continued down the stairs. "From here, turning left and following the hall until it turns right leads to more of the staff offices. That'll lead us to pass the auditorim," gestured one way, "and the shoe lockers," both designated as the passed. Though sets of double doors and literally the front entrance where hard places to miss wandering the ground floor.

RInji followed silently, keeping his measured three steps behind Yuuki, and even further away from Fujioka-san. It wasn't that he was scared, it was...okay, yes, he was a little intimidated by her, but not for any discernible reason. If anything, it might just be that he was scared of everyone at the moment.

Despite his apprehensions, Rinji kept one ear firmly on what his senpai was saying. The floormap in his head wasn't coming together quickly, but it would be done eventually. He'd have to make certain to thank Yuuki for all his help. Maybe a card? Or a basket? Did they do that kind of thing around here?

As Fubuki followed Yuuki, she noticed that Rinji seemed to be keeping his distance from them, particularly from her. She seemed rather anxious, and being someone who was constantly concerned with anything around her due to her hero-complex, she couldn't help herself but to be concerned about him. She looked at him and asked him, "What's wrong? Are you sick?" she asked.

Then, she remembered the thing that happened back then, when he fell from the stairs. Perhaps he did break his tailbone, thus his anxiety. "Umm... or did you really break your tailbone? Like, for real?" she asked.

She was probably right all along. If she was right, they had to do something about it! And quick!

"And down this way," Yuuki said with a turn down the hall, "first doors on either side lead to the nurses office and year 1 professor offices, though there are a few overlap teachers."

Yuuki stopped, hanging closer to the teacher offices side of the hall. "So moment of truth, Akamori, how's that tailbone?"

There's another unlikely question to cross off the list.

Rinji was lost in his own little world as he shadowed his two senpai, pondering the great mysteries of life: Meaning, the future...and where he could get a bowl of udon. Was it lunch time yet? He didn't wear a watch.

Fubuki-senpai kept up her barrage of concerned questions, and if Rinji had been paying any attention he would have done his best to dissuade them. He genuinely didn't think anything was broken! If he'd busted his tailbone he wouldn't be able to limp, much less walk at all.

Still, when Yuuki ceased their tour abruptly (forcing Rinji to snap back to reality and pause mid-step), he rocked back on his heels and gave a smile. Unfortunately, this also brought him dangerously close to the wall, and to go with his already spotty luck, pent-up static electricity decided now would be a good time to make itself known.

With a yelp, Rinji clutched at his lower back and winced, feeling numbness briefly spread across his entire lower body, making his knees appear to shake.

Oh no...now I've done it.
