"I dunno whether you noticed or not, but don't you think it's weird?" a random student spoke to his friend. His friend gave him a strange look.

"Huh? What do you mean?" the other student, a female student with pigtails looked at the male student.

"Transfer students, I mean! Transfer students! Don't you think there are a lot of 'em here?!" the male student exclaimed, and the female student flinched when he raised his voice. "I gotta say, I smell conspiracy here! Conspiracy, I say!"

"I doubt it..." the female student deadpanned. "But now you say it, yeah... it feels weird. I have a feeling there are many things we don't know yet..." she said, tapping her finger on her chin. "Something that shouldn't be learned, something that is deliberately hidden..." her expression darkened. "Something... sinister..."

"..."

"..."

After a moment of silence, both students shrugged in dismissal.

"Naah..."

Fubuki Fujioka, a transfer student overheard their conversation as she walked down the corridor. Unlike the rest of the student, she was wearing her old uniform that she wore at her old school. It was a white sailor fuku with blue collar and blue pleated skirt. While she didn't stand out like a sore thumb (like a certain student who wore a freaking kimono at school), there were several other students looking at her with curious eyes. Because of that, she felt slightly nervous.

Thinking that it would be nice to explore this place after school, the transfer student continued to walk. "Hmm... it would be nice if someone can guide me around here..." she muttered to herself as she walked down the corridor, getting a few strange looks from other students due to her different uniform.

She overheard the two talking about the transfers. Curses, someone had caught on that they were a secret invasion coming to take over all of Japan.

…or perhaps they were just a bunch of different people with highly disparate reasons for being there? Yeah, that seemed more likely, far less fun to gossip about, however. Personally, for Mia it was a combination of a grandmother who couldn't live on her own anymore and would rather they come to her in a city she lived in since the War as opposed to spending the remainder of her golden years in some foreign country halfway around the world, paired with her dad getting a very nice job offer at the same time.

Nah, that was too boring and it didn't make the city and school special somehow, so conspiracy it was. She knew better than to just intercept herself into someone else's conversation, even if it was kind of dumb.

Instead she smiled and approached her fellow 'co-conspirator' "Hello, are you a new transfer? Did you just say you'd like someone to show you around? I could do that…" With a friendly smile and a slight bow, she introduced herself. "My name is Mia Sato, pleased to meet you!"

"Eep!" Fubuki was a little surprised when someone suddenly approached her and spoke to her. She didn't remember seeing her at her class, 2-1, so she might be from a different class altogether. After regaining her composure, she straightened up and smiled. "Yeah, I'm a transfer student. I'd love to have someone guiding me around here..." Fubuki said. Seeing the friendly smile and the bow, Fubuki felt a little relieved.

"Pleased to meet you too, Sato-san. My name is Fubuki Fujioka," Fubuki introduced herself, bowing as well. It was her first step to get a real friend after being transferred into this school.

"Oh, sorry! Did I startle you?" She she took a step back, best not to give her the wrong impression, though her smile did broaden at the acceptance of her offer.

"Great! I will be honored to show you around." In fact, it was all fresh in Mia's head. Helping her was certainly more useful than speculating on why so many transfers showed up in Taiyotono in any given year. "Are you looking for anyplace in particular first, or should I just give you a brief tour of everything?"

There was a sudden sound behind both Mia and Fubuki, like some one was forcibly clearing their throat. Should they turn around, there stood the composition teacher, and clearly also a transfer conspirator , Rozen Moore.

"I see you two have also heard some of the silly rumors floating about the campus." She muttered. "Bloody weird if you ask me." She mentions. "There have been non-national transfers to this place for years. Probably long before the recent happenings." She said adjusting her glasses. "Anyway, aside from the prattling of spooked chickens, I heard someone needed assistance."

"A brief tour sounds good," Fubuki said before she heard someone behind them. It sounded like that someone was clearing their throat. The transfer student turned around and saw the teacher. Seeing the teacher, Fubuki felt a little nervous, considering that she wasn't wearing the standard Taiyoutono's uniform and wore her old sailor fuku uniform instead. She wished that the teacher could understand that.

If there's something she would like to avoid, it would be a stern lecture from a teacher about the importance of following the rules. Imagining herself being lectured by a teacher was enough to make her gulp in anxiousness.

"Umm... y-yeah..." Fubuki said. "I just recently got transferred here, so I'm not familiar with this place..." she said to the teacher. "A-and Sato-san here offered to guide me around," she gestured at Mia.

Oh, someone got behind her that easily? She'd really need to work on her situational awareness, or one day something a lot less friendly than a teacher was gonna pop up behind her unexpectedly. Oh, it was Miss Rozen Moore. She was there on her first day as well. Made sense, seeing as how she was one of the more active teachers there.

"Good afternoon, Moore-sensei. I did offer to show Fujioka-san around, but I'd be happy to stand aside if you're available." To Fubuki, she smiled. "The truth is it wasn't that long ago that I was in your very same position." Interesting the word Miss Moore said. Her accent was definitely 'American' but no one in the US used 'Bloody' as far as she knew. That was more of a British Isles phrase, wasn't it? That would explain the trouble she had pinning down her accent before…

Then again, there's no ruling out she learned Japanese from a Brit or something and some phrases got learned as a matter of course. She'd have to know more before she came to a final conclusion, wouldn't she?

Rozen scratches the back of her head when Mia offered to let the teacher take the new transfer off her hands. "That's ok Mia." She said. "She asked you first, after all." Crossing her arms the teacher looks down the hall over her shoulder at noting. "I don't have a class this period, so I can tag along, give informal trivia and that such." She said.

So now the teacher would be assisting her too to explore this place. Well, it's good. Fubuki bowed gratefully when the teacher said that she would be tagging along too. "T-thank you very much, Sensei! And you too, Sato-san!" she said before she straightened herself. She was glad that she could meet these nice people. While the meeting with the first person after coming here ended in a rather sour note, she was glad to see people with intense paranoia and a tendency to use profanity to make a point.

"So, shall we begin now?" Fubuki asked. Now that there were people who were actually pretty decent, she seemed to look forward for this trip around school. Due to her being a transfer student who barely knew the layout and structure of the building, exploring the school would be a right thing to do for her.

"I understand, Moore-sensei. I'll do my best then!" Rozen wasn't really big on those kinds of formalities and such, was she? Still, it was a hard habit to break with the other teachers that were actually awake sometimes.

Back to helping Fubuki, she smiled. "Okay, so I have no idea why exactly? But the roof is very popular here. It wouldn't be a bad idea to start this tour off by showing you the quickest way to get there and then we just work our way down, right?"

Come to think of it, she came so late in the year, and pretty abruptly too. You'd think someone would be more considerate to Fubuki's plight, but there was always no shortage of people who never thought of those kinds of things all over, so maybe not…
