Oh so the sword had been a memento? Regardless, rules were rules and they existed for a reason. Still he found her wording funny. 'Danger lurks below the surface'. She probably had no idea what sort of real danger there was below the surface.

"Well I suppose congratulations are in order. I wish you a happy birthday Yuuma-san, and many more to come."

He turned his attention back to Yuuki. The boy seemed so damn argumentative. Daichi resisted the urge to scowl and shake his head. Some people were just like that. Nothing could be done about it really.

"If you'll excuse me, I must be getting to class. I suggest the two of you do the same."

With that, Daichi Nakamura began to walk to his homeroom.

Yuuki's eyebrows raised a little bit. Just what was Yuuma indoctrinated into that had her speak absolutes as if from a court of law? "happy belated birthday, then," Yuuki added as well, puzzling over what she had said.

Her parents had given her that sword but was it her real parents? Foster parents? That she had just seen for the first time today? He was missing something but it wasn't like he could ask now, whether Nakamura hung around or not.

"Class is just over there," Yuuki said. Well, Yuuma didn't look to be sunshine and cupcakes next to somebody like Takeru Yamamoto but then that wasn't a bad thing. If Yuuki ever met anyone legitimately cheerier than Yamamoto they would have to bleed rainbows or something.

WHERE THE FUCK IS MARIO
"Thank you senpai." She bowed her head to Daichi as he left and bowed once more to Yuuki. Once he mentioned where the class was the girl turned to see it and nodded slowly. "I understand, thank you." Noriko looked to the door and began to walk over.

"I will see you inside. Do not try to be late, it leaves a bad impression. Like certain other people." She scanned the hallway. No. That disgusting trash wasn't here. She was probably taking the day off for some reason. Not like it was her concern anyway. The blue haired girl walked slowly to her classroom, a pang of regret for giving up her bamboo sword.

Rules were rules.
