WHERE THE FUCK IS MARIO
It was selfish. Beyond selfish. She had made a promise to protect that girl, but restless nights came. Who was this Nishiyo Sadako? Aside from a girl in her former position? Family obligation stronger than anything else in this world. But Gabrielle Peterson could not sleep. She had painted herself as an explorer, someone who never let anything stop her.

But Aleksandria Fyodor had dealt a heavy blow to the Persona community, In her madness, she had broken the only thing keeping them safe. It was selfish to think she could simply walk into the ruins and not get any kind of resistance. But she was strong. Stronger than most. She had gained powers through trials by fire. Trials that could have killed any lesser person.

So she donned the armor of the Archangels. The group she had founded. Her single point of repentance. But did it matter how many people she protected, how many people she saved? In the end it didn't matter, did it? Death wasn't easily forgiven, or even easily forgotten. She didn't wear her mask, settling on a bike helmet to cover her face. She was the eponymous Gabrielle of the Archangels, her contacts replaced with a pair that turned her eyes a slate grey.

She walked slowly through the lobby, expecting resistance almost instantly. Be it another Persona User, or potentially shadows. But the shadows here were weak. They had always been weak. For every time she came here as an Archangel. Her eyes scanned the area, one eye locked on the rapier by her side. It was her weapon. The only one she needed.

For the moment she hovered around the Lobby, waiting to see what would come next.

A truck pulled up outside of the entrance, in the dead of the night. Machi Kijimuta hadn't been able to sleep, as usual, and given her rather risk-taking behavior, she decided to sneak out of her heavily guarded house as every other person slept, having made it to the garage without much trouble.

Even if for just a couple hours, she was free.

Initially, the blonde had no idea where to go - she wasn't used to being by herself at that hour anymore, at least ever since her previous rebellious streak died down when she moved out. But now, with the arranged marriage pressure, coupled with exams and society expectations, she couldn't take it anymore.

As she drove around the city for no reason at all other than to breathe some fresh air, she remembered that she kept her Ruins equipment inside the vehicle at all times, so her father wouldn't find out about it. Despite Ganga's warnings on how dangerous it was to go alone, as well several mentions of the hypocrisy it would be for her of all people to do so, the historian went anyway.

"I doubt anyone's here now..." The girl commented to herself as she retrieved the pair of katanas from under the backseats, and hopped off the vehicle, activating its alarm and shoving the keys in her pants' pocket. Not that it'd matter; the place was deserted, and she highly doubted someone would go out that far in the middle of the night just to rob a car.

With both weapons in hand, she walked into the hobby without a shred of hesitation. Once there, she went through the same ritual she always did - taking a deep breath while looking at the entrance, and then proceeded to strap the katanas to her back. As she worked with the little plug on the leather strap to the front, she noticed someone else in the room.

"...?" Now, that was odd. Someone armed was there, which was no surprise; what was most eye-catching was the full armor and helmet. It being an Archangel member never crossed her mind, as she had never seen the actual armor of one. That armor sure seemed to have a nice quality to it, though...

"...Are you expecting someone, by any chance?" Machi took the risk to make light conversation while taking care of her equipment. The strap was being rather stubborn that day. "I don't personally know anyone coming here this late at night..."

Well, there was Kyo, but Machi found it rather rude to call people to go in that late.

She spoke in a slightly muffled tone, though it was definitely audible. "Waiting for someone? Not particularly. More just waiting for anyone. It has been a long time since I came to the ruins." She bowed her head in a sign of respect.

"I'm from the Archangels. A pleasure to meet you." The girl noticed her weapons and nodded slowly. "So you are well armed. How strong are you? Not to pry, I merely want to know if I can assist you or not." She walked a little closer but kept her distance.

"I've been gone for so long that I don't remember any of these ruins at all."

As the masked stranger bowed her head, Machi mentally berated herself for not having done the same, being an extremely formal individual as it was. Then again, the location put her on edge; the eagerness to fight and the risk involved made her loose, and formalities were forgotten along the way.

She was quick to rectify that mistake.

"I see, likewise." No point giving her name; Machi was recognizable as it was. She had no opinion in the Archangels themselves, and thus did not indulge in that matter. After the strap was put together, she took her time to carefully tie her own hair up in a ponytail, so not to make it a hindrance during the upcoming battles.

"Magically-wise, I suppose not very. I'm sure I'm about to reach what's called the second tier of skills." It was about damn time, too. "Other than that, I have physical training ever since that was young, so hopefully that is worth something."

She nodded, and seemingly relaxed just a bit. Perhaps she wouldn't go alone after all. Goodbye hypocrisy!

'Nope, not even a little.'

"Would you like to accompany me? I'm sure I can handle a couple of floors below this one." Here's hoping Machi wouldn't get them lost. Though, knowing her orientation sense? They'd probably run into Kakeru on the last level or something.

The figure nodded slowly. "Second tier, I understand. Then I can assist you." The second statement struck a chord however. "I too have been training since I was young. My father put a rapier in my hand many years ago and the rest is history."

She chuckled somewhat. "But yes, do not worry, I can hold my own. I've been around the track a few times, as it were."

The figure gave a nod. "I would be happy to accompany you."

"Ah, not much of a skill gap." That actually pleased Machi. She always had the feeling she bored the third tiers to death whenever in the Ruins with them; they could just obliterate absolutely anything in the floors she usually frequented anyway.

"Let's go, then." Machi motioned with her head towards the entrance, and proceeded to move into the dreadful place, expecting the stranger to accompany her side by side. In the meantime, the girl grabbed the hilt of one of her blades with her right hand, unsheathing it, as if battle ready. The other one stayed in place; sure, she was ambidextrous, but her level of mastery wasn't enough to justify using it outside of emergencies.

"Thank you." Machi was on the look out for anything that may attack them - ceiling included. That one trip to rescue Momoko had not been fun at all. "For coordination's sake, I have healing magic, as well as ice, charm dispelling, and opponent's buff dispelling."

Hopefully they'd make a good team.

She nodded. "Yes. Not much of a skill gap." As they began to walk the figure drew her rapier and held it tightly in her hand. Usually she carried another weapon, the right hand she carried still classified as one, despite its cut down capabilities to keep a human appearance. It retained its strength and gripping power, but the weapons had been removed, for space for data.

As she walked she nodded. "I have fire and nuclear magic, as well as a skill that allows you to boost your next physical attack." The figure let out a sigh. "I'm glad you're a healer. We should do quite well together then."

So far so good. Machi actually felt somewhat at ease with a relatively more powerful and experienced partner; that way, she wouldn't be exclusively relied on, like she tended to be on every other trip to the place. It usually defeated the very purpose of stress relieving; it was far too pressuring to lead a bunch of people constantly without fail.

Machi led them straight to the stairs, a ways away from the entrance. Despite her poor sense of direction, she had gone through the first level so many times that she knew it by memory. Hopefully, she would memorize the second level that same night and not get them lost.

As they walked near the stairs, Machi looked to the side of one corridor. There was a huge gaping hole right in the ground, that brought quite a few memories back... Maybe it was about time she gave Serizawa a third chance?

'You'll regret it.'

"We should run into something anytime now." The blonde spoke as she quickly went downstairs, to a more difficult level of the place. They'd most likely be able to handle whatever really well, though. She didn't bother coating her sword with ice just yet, so not to waste stamina needlessly.

Aleksandria made careful steps as she followed. "A long time ago, an ally and I were around here and an explosion collapsed the ceiling." She chuckled somewhat, the sound muffled by her helmet. "Originally we were at each other's throats, but the forced alignment allowed us to talk and examine our ideals. This place has a lot of memories for me."

As they made it to the stairs she nodded. "Mmm. It seems that nothing will attack us for now. We are better off looking for better targets." At the bottom of the stairs there appeared to be nothing, but then strangely, there was the sound of rumbling. The sound grew louder until the object that was rumbling roared past. A round ball. It was about the size of a wrecking ball and completely smooth.

The figure kept her distance. "...I do not think it can see. I think it detects with sound." The ball didn't turn around, now across the corridor, smashing through a wall to make another entrance.

"I see... I suppose I wasn't the only one who fought against this place's architecture." Machi chuckled a bit as well, in good humor. Except her story was somewhat the reverse. "Did you see the huge hole on the floor back there? One day, me and a group were exploring the place, and the ground below us fell down. We ended up on the floor beneath, and the teamwork after that happened was just terrible."

No point in naming people. What happened, happened. She was over the whole thing, for the most part, if one can ever truly get over being left for dead.

Machi's eyebrow raised ever so slightly at the sight of the ball. That was... fast.

"...Fortunately." Machi said in a lower tone, so not to be heard. "I can't say being squashed by a wrecking ball is exactly on my bucket list..."

At least she could keep up with her own jokes. A doubt rested in her mind however.

"Do you want to risk it and take this one out?" It would be difficult to dodge that thing, but with combined magical effort and agility expertise, they might just pull it off.
