Daichi nodded and wordlessly left to do the same. Making sure his uniform was entirely prim and proper. Then coming out and relocating the blonde girl.

"Right, so shall we get going then?"

This could either go well, or he could fuck it up horribly. He of course, wanted it to go well. His pessimism made him believe that in some way, he'd end up messing this up. He needed to at least try though? Just relax, be himself. Checking out the club was good too. He could see how many people were actually in it. From the sounds of it, not many were. Was it from lack of interest, or was it some sort of elitism? He doubted it was the latter.

"If I may ask? Which happens more frequently? Formal or informal?"

Then again? She really did seem nice enough. What with the whole offering to buy him clothing, and inviting him to a club... He briefly wondered if more rumors would spread about the school because of this. Not only having befriended Yuki, but also possibly doing the same with the girl he was marrying. Although, he'd never actually cared about those either. Let people think what they want, the people involved knew the truth.

"Mm, let's go." Machi nodded, a pleasant smile reappearing once again upon her lips. "I hope this side trip isn't bothersome." And thus, she proceeded to lead Daichi towards the Tea Ceremony club room. It was located in the floor above, where most culture clubs were.

She calmly adjusted the band around her left arm as they walked, with the emblem of the Student Council patterned in the cloth, before tapping it. She had put it on in a hurry, so it looked disheveled. Once that was done, they reached the stairs, and she motioned Daichi to follow along.

"Always formal, Nakamura-san. Hence 'ceremony'." For a brief moment, she wondered how on Earth he didn't know of such a tradition, but was quick to chastise herself once remembering that he had a poor and troubled background. "A kimono is worn by each participant of such ceremony. I can teach you of adequate manners regarding it when we next meet for a cup of tea."

Finally, they had arrived. The sliding door had apparently something glued to it - a list of members, each in their own handwriting. The woman stepped out of the way once sliding it open. "Here we are."

It looked awfully tidy - the entrance even had a space to leave one's shoes in. There were a series of short tables along the place, along with cushions for one to sit down. At the far end of the room, the walls were covered with cabinets, within which resided all sorts of both common and exotic tea leaves inside jars.

Below the cabinets was the kitchen area, necessary to prepare the beverage. Finally, there was a desk located in front of that area, by the center, and pressed against the wall right of it was a shelf with all sorts of manuals on the activity. The room was being flooded with the sunset's light, from a series of windows along a wall.

"I hope it is to your liking." She was very proud of the room, having done everything by herself.

"Oh it's no bother at all. It's better I know where it is now, so I can arrive on time."

After all, it would reflect very poorly on him if he couldn't even find where the club was when the next meeting happened!

"Oh my apologies Kijimuta-san. I haven't really been to anything like this before now. Though I appreciate this very much!"

When one grew up like Daichi Nakamura did. One did not exactly attend tea parties, or ceremonies and anything of that sort...It nearly wounded his pride that she offered to teach him on how to act. Especially since he liked to think he was pretty well off where manners were concerned.

"I...believe that will be necessary, yes."

He felt hot shame flood throughout his body. He didn't have the correct attire, he didn't know how to even go about a club meeting...everything was going to be handed to him! It was nice that Machi was giving him so many opportunities, for sure! Still he nearly felt like he was being babied. The only thing he could do? Prove that he could be a part of the club. He took a moment to look at the piece of paper. Glancing through the names. There was what, six members? Of which three names he recognized. Hanako, Machi and the Kirihara girl. Though the last was only because of her being yet another wealthy young woman. He took off his shoes at the entrance and stepped into the room itself. It was nice, and it was tidy. Both of these qualities were very good! He couldn't help but feel this was almost...above him in a way. Probably just his poor socioeconomic background coming into play.

"Oh whoever organized room did an absolutely spectacular job Kijimuta-san."

Daichi liked tidy things. Actually, Daichi loved tidy things. The only issue now, was that he didn't know what to do. Hopefully Machi would take the lead here. Else he'd probably mess this up like some sort of bumbling idiot.

"No need to apologize, Nakamura-san. There is always something new to learn." The founder of the club said with an upbeat tone as a wide smile crossed her lips. "I will be happy to teach you anything you may need to know during your stay."

Machi practically beamed in pride at the compliment; her smile just wouldn't go away. As Daichi admired the room, the blonde took her phone out so to check what time it was...

...Eh, why not.

"Would you like some tea now, or would you rather have us leave to purchase the kimono?"

"Well I know we aren't wearing the formal attire but maybe we could treat this occasion as some sort of practice or training?"

Getting practice in was always a good thing right? Especially concerning something like this...seemingly demanding so much grandeur from him. He was probably just over thinking this. It was just some sort of fancy tea drinking right? Or...perhaps this was some sort of test? To see if he could earn his way into her good graces? Daichi was flat out unsure. Sure, he was probably totally analyzing things way too much, but if he wasn't and he fucked up?

"Unless you believe it would be more wise to purchase the kimono now?"

"Excellent." Machi smiled widely with the affirmative response. It should be a while before the gates closed, with teacher meetings and what not. There was plenty of time for them to enjoy a cup of tea.

"Test one passed." She spoke up while finally stepping into the room, stepping out of her shoes and sliding the door close. She motioned towards one of the nearest cushions for Daichi to sit down on. "Never reject food or drink from a host, no matter the circumstance."

The girl went straight to the brewing area, and looked back over her shoulder. "Do you have any preference as to what to drink now?"

Daichi made his way to sit on the cushion that had been indicated. Right, so he was being tested! The only issue being not knowing on what, or however to go about this. Perhaps it was just an exercise in proper manners? Oh that might end up going horribly. He had no idea the sort of expectations the young woman may have had concerning them. He'd have to remember that, always accept food or drink.

"Oh uh...green tea I suppose? To celebrate the kimono."

Green tea was a kind of tea right? He swore up and down that that was a kind of tea. Better to check in with Machi herself.

"Did you have anything else specific in mind Kijimuta-san?"

"Green tea? Excellent choice." It was Machi's favorite, after all. The girl smiled widely at Daichi, before going over to the green tea cabinet, glancing past the transparent glass at the various leaves displayed. Now now, what to pick...?

"Perhaps Sensha would be to your liking?" Traditional Japanese green tea was a good place to start, she figured. The girl retrieved the jar with the leaves, placing it atop the counter below. After, she proceeded to fill up a pot with water, and proceeded to take it to a boil.

"Does this mean I can count on a new signature on the sign up sheet, Nakamura-san?"

"Oh yes please, Sensha sounds lovely."

He'd already taken the lesson and applied it! He was going to do this, he could just feel it in his bones! He sat patiently on the cushion. Trying his best not so much as to even really fidget around.

"Yes Kijimuta-san, if you would allow me to."

Alright, now to see if he was in!

Excellent, the man was doing well. Machi couldn't keep a pleasant smile off her face, not needing the usual fake charm to surface. While waiting for the water to boil, she paced towards the entrance of the room, sliding the door ever so slightly open, and leaning her body sideways through the slim crack so to retrieve the paper sheet pinned to the door.

"I'm very pleased with this outcome. Welcome aboard, Nakamura-san." She slid the door close once more, and placed the sheet with the names down on the table in front of the fellow senior. Then, she went to her school bag so to retrieve a pen.

"Meetings occur Wednesdays and Saturdays. Please come here as often as you'd like. It's also an excellent place to deal with homework and such, should you want more free time later in the day."
