Kakeru didn't pay any attention to those Shadows he obliterated as he focused at the group, particularly their downed leader. One of them was hurt, and while Mia was the leader of the team, the one who organized this mission was him. In a way, he was responsible for all this. For him, it was his fault that Mia was hurt.

While there was other part of him trying to justify that anything could happen to them in this place, and they were the ones who volunteered to join, he still couldn't help but to feel some kind of guilt.

Kakeru went towards them before he cast Diarahan to Mia in order to fully heal her injuries. Seeing that Mia had somehow regained her consciousness, Karma immediately hugged the girl. For a supposedly tough guy like him, Karma looked somehow pathetic. When Toki touched him by his shoulders in order to pull him away from the girl, he looked at him with a glare, as if saying 'don't touch me'.

"T-thank god... thank god..." Karma said after Kakeru cast Diarahan on Mia before he gritted his teeth. "You idiot!! Don't go dying like that!!" he shouted but he still didn't let the girl go. He refused to let her go, thinking that she might fall unconscious again. The rebellious boy with devil-may-care attitude was no longer there, and in his place was a selfish boy who couldn't bear being separated from things he held most dear.

"Murder?"

Karma ignored Angra Mainyu's suggestion as he hugged Mia. Like most things Karma held so close to him, he didn't let her go.

Suzu sighed out as the Shadows were obliterated. Much like she had suspected, Kakeru completely destroyed them on his own; though, frankly, the reason of her choice was she didn't want to deal with Karma over letting go of Mia.

As she turned to look, she saw what she suspected - Toki looking somewhat reluctant to do anything, and Karma just being a moron in general about the whole situation.

"Hey! Get a hold 'o yerself." The redhead rolled her eyes. As Mia got healed, Toki finally stepped away from the pair, feeling slightly awkward. Even he could tell those two shouldn't be part of a group together, lest Karma lose control just because an injury happens. It was a highly common occurrence as it was, no need to make things worse.

"So, after the idiocy over there is done with, we should all get the fuck outta here. Gettin' chills already, we've been here for too long."

Aleph smiled in relief as the Shadows were instantly wiped out by Kakeru's powerful Megidola. He had no idea why Karma had to freak out so much over Mia, even if she was unconscious.

Aleph looked at Mia as he and her Persona, strangely enough, healed her together. Thankfully, the bleeding had stopped and Kakeru was able to fully heal her. So, Aleph was able to focus on other things.

He turned to Karma. "Hey dude? You, like, gonna be okay?" He asked. "Yeah, we should probably get out of this place. Before more shit goes down, you know?"

Staying conscious was no longer such a tall order thanks to all the attention sent her way. Mostly in the form of healing spells. But she looked up and there was Karma. He was looking at her and he wasn't too cool to be concerned either.

It was incredibly flattering, speaking strictly as a young woman. But as the leader of a coherent unit? It wasn't good. He had to stay calm or he could get himself into trouble too, and someone else might fall too. To say she had mixed feelings was an understatement.

'I'll talk to him about the problem later.'

So for the moment, that meant she was able to freely reach up in order to pull Karma down into a kiss. The first of many she hoped. Afterwards? She planned to say, with a carefree, impish. "Sorry Karma.Next time I'll be sure to ask your permission first." She winked, despite her own moment of insecurity despite her worry for Karma. Morale was a thing and she hoped to keep it in good spirits.

She got up on her knees, thanks to Aleph and Kakeru, she was fine. When she did so, she leaned in and whispered for Karma to hear alone "It's okay. I don't plan on dying in a place like this. You feel the same way, right hon?"

She got to her feet with a big smile. "Well, goes to show how quickly things can change here, right? Let's all go home, kay?"

Karma was stunned when Mia pulled him down into a kiss. He could even sense his Persona, Angra Mainyu being stunned as well, judging from the absence of his suggestions for murder and killing. He just nodded with a dumbstruck expression after seeing the girl winking at him. Then, when she whispered something to him, he started to recover from his shock before he nodded.

"..."

It would take quite some time for him to regain his cavalier attitude as he assisted Mia to get up on his feet as well. His expression seemed unusually serious and he remained close to Mia, due to reasons that he would rather not talk about.

Kakeru sighed in relief. It seemed that they should be alright for now. "Please be careful next time, Mia-san. Come on and let's get out of this place before something else shows up," he said. As he walked with the others, he started to mentally assess the group. A lot of unexpected things happened here. For such an effective leader like Mia, she seemed to be a lot weaker than the rest of the group and more vulnerable to attacks.

And initially, he believed that it's either Aleph or Suzu who were the unpredictable force in their group. But after seeing Karma losing his cool and that moment when Karma was laughing after killing the enemies, he finally figured out that the most unstable one in the group was Karma. He needed to watch out and think of something about it.

Meanwhile, Karma wordlessly walked alongside Mia. He looked down, avoiding the gazes of others, especially Mia's.

Toki stepped away enough to be standing next to Aleph. As he watched the scene, the college student scratched the back of his head, muttering to himself.

"If we keep all'a these people together, it won't end well..."

He let out a sigh and shook his head. It wasn't that he could blame Karma for freaking out like he did - Toki would probably have done the same if it were someone he loved. But such a team in that place was a cocktail for destruction if you couldn't keep your emotions in check.

"Just... Follow me, I know where the exit is..." Said the redheaded human map, deciding to lead the group out without a word, though visibly annoyed - the scowl on her face could be seen, if not for her walking ahead of the group. It was relatively safe, as her radar worked perfectly.

Now, to hear of Kakeru's review of the group... She wondered if their thoughts were the same.

Aleph was immediately surprised when he saw Mia kiss Karma right out of the blue. Though, it wasn't Mia having a thing for Karma that surprised him. It was that fact that virtually anyone would actually have a thing for someone like Karma, given his treatment of Aleph, that surprised him.

Well I guess the world is finally starting to go crazy, Master. Well, crazier than it already is, that is.

Now that Aleph thought about it, Karma's reaction towards Mia's predicament was a bit over the top and somewhat unlike the Karma that Aleph had met up on the school roof. Aleph's expression softened as he started to realize the conclusion. Maybe Karma wasn't quite as bad as Aleph thought him as when they met. Or maybe he wasn't as big of a hot shot as he made himself out to be. Both possibilities sounded valid to him.

Okay, so maybe you were exaggerating the whole incident up on the roof. But you didn't do anything stupid. Well, aside from giving the people who give you bullshit more ammo.

Regardless, Aleph decided to keep his mouth about it. At least, until the next time he runs into Karma. Then, maybe Aleph could turn that against Karma and finally stand up for himself, for once. Yes. Aleph knew what he was going to do in the near future.

Aleph started following the group to the exit. "So, now that the Shadows are out of the way, does this mean we can go home now?" He asked.

"Sure, getting out of here sounds like a fine idea."

Despite everything, she smiled. Things hadn't gone perfectly by a long shot, but that's why she wanted to play it cautiously. At least everyone was gonna get out of in one piece.

She walked alongside Karma and didn't try to match gaze with him. Her eyes were forward, when she wasn't on the lookout for more trouble. As she walked besides him though, her hand touched his. Her first instinct was to reach out and hold his hand in her own.

"I guess we can, but this was a test. Right Aleph? I wanna know what we did right, what needs work. We need to know that to improve." There was the exit. Suzu would get out first at that rate, followed by the others, and with Kakeru taking up the rear.

Mia knew she was probably holding things back as she was. But there was little she could have done in her current situation. Lif was no fighter, but you had to fight to improve there, and that was just how it was.

And so, they went out of the ruins safely thanks to the presence of the scanner in their group. Now that Kakeru had done evaluating the group, it's time to express his opinion regarding this group to them. "Alright, please listen, everyone," he said to the group as he decided to tell him his opinion about their performance.

"So, from what I could see, your group mostly functions well," he said. The word 'mostly' was oddly emphasized, indicating that despite how well their group was, there's certainly a problem in it as well. "At this rate, it should be alright for us to move on to the next stage, but that will be something that needs to be discussed at some other time."

"..." Karma wordlessly looked at the third-tier. Despite his words having no mention about him losing his cool and whatnot, it was clear that Kakeru was thinking about it. Karma glanced at Mia, feeling her hand touching his. He felt oddly comforted by it, and he silently looked down.

"So, is there any questions?" Kakeru asked the others.

Fresh air! Finally.

Suzu took a vast amount of oxygen into her lungs before exhaling deeply. She'd have to walk all the way to town... Bummer. But at least she had some twenty two year old's company.

"Um... Any personal evaluations?" Toki decided to chime in with a question. By getting hit, he had the nagging feeling he had failed the earlier test, thus hoped to hear from Kakeru what he could do to improve his evasion abilities. Or lack thereof.

Suzu herself had another question, which she mentioned after Toki's was done with. "Why can't we know what the next stage is or anythin'?"
